The Craighaar Hotel

The location for P&J live arena is just perfect, there is also a regular bus from TECA into Aberdeen to explore the City. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful! The public areas of the hotel are really nice and the food in the restaurant was excellent, including the breakfast, which we found reasonably priced. Overall a good experience and we'll definitely choose to stay again if we are back in Aberdeen.

We stayed in a suite, the rooms are a bit dated and old fashioned, although the bathroom was modern and nicely refurbished. We stayed during a spell of hot weather and the room was very hot, which meant sleeping with the windows open, with the hotel situated right on the end of the airport runway and by the railway, it is very noisy. Recommend taking some ear plugs.

Location excellent for the P&J Live. A 5 minute stroll to venue. The bar, lounge very nice. Bathrooms in bedroom newly fitted. Evening meal was delicious. Breakfast was okay, continental options could be improved limited baked goods and fruit bowl...would prefer fresh fruit options. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bedrooms themselves were very hot snd decor a little tired. Cracks on paper/paint. Given the quality of bathrooms and bar/lounge if bedrooms were up to same quality them would be a total winner. Some people would probably want to be alterted to the proximity of Aberdeen Airport runway. Yes planes were landing, it was noisy but wouldnt put me off staying again

We were unable to have dinner, my own fault as never thought to book a table for food as the restaurant area for food was fully booked due to the amount of people going to Andre Rieu concert. Breakfast was delicious & staff were wonderful. Our room was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed, we will certainly visit again that’s for sure. Coffee & drinks in the bar after the concert. Definitely 5 star we absolutely loved Craighaar

We didn’t find the tea/coffee/ kettle etc until the morning we were leaving.

Superb selection for breakfast. staff were very attentive,& pleasant. The evening meal we had was delicious,beautifully presented & served by well trained & charming staff.... We think that it should have been clearer to locate the kettle,tea,coffee & biscuits on arrival. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. It was also a bonus to have free parking on site,& we were able to walk to the 4 mile pub to catch the bus to Aberdeen,which was a regular service.

We had the Gleneagles Suite for a one night stay and I can't recommend The Craighaar Hotel more. We were pleasantly greeted on arrival, and directed to all areas and amenities of the premises. Our room was lovely and clean, and very comfortable. I particularly liked the bathroom and shower. The food was really good, my wife says the haggis bon bons are actually probably the best she's ever had! All the staff team were really nice and looked after us. I must mention Leon in particular, he made a great impression on us with his customer care, and general manner, a lovely guy.... someone give that man a pay rise! In all honesty though, the whole staff team were great throughout our stay and helped to make sure we had a memorable Anniversary. I just want to add that the breakfast selection was also great... the massive hangover not so much 🤣 So a hearty well prepared cooked breakfast was very much appreciated, which is in addition to a wide selection from a continental buffet. We will absolutely be back for a stay soon 👍🏼 A+++

Lovely hotel in a quiet road close to the airport. Great staff, all very polite, friendly, professional. Very good restaurant, ate 4 nights and all dishes were excellent. Breakfast is fresh cooked, plentiful and quick service. The room was a good size, very clean and warm. The bathroom contemporary, well appointed. Nice bar. Food and beer prices average. Good big car park.

It's a bit under the flight path, first flights 6:15, not a problem if you are getting up to work! Otherwise didn't really notice it.

Free parking in front, super fast check-in, rooms are upgraded soon but already good enough, clean, perfect pillows and functioning WiFi. Beautiful hotel bar, copy restaurant with good food and very nice staff everywhere in the hotel. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

I would advice to upgrade the wifi. In the hall way the signal was significant stronger than in the room itself. But this is not a complaint.

Breakfast was really good but very busy. The staff were quick and efficient. The room was well serviced but a little on the small side. We didn’t have dinner.

The only issue we had was the size of the bed. It was obviously not a full sized double bed (possibly a small double 4ft). The hotel was obviously very busy and this meant there were no available parking spaces in the car park and there are a lot of parking restrictions in the streets nearby.

the location of the hotel is perfect for the the arena called PJ live only a 10 minutes walk away also the times of the dinner being early to suit the the show times

well the breakfast was slightly cool when it was brought to you and we had to ask if we could have baked beans not the menu the reply was yes but they forgot to bring them so we and asked for them otherwise we would have eaten our breakfast with out them

Much more character than the usual chain hotels. Staff very helpful and always smiling. very clean. dinners very good & some unusual choices. we stayed for a couple of nights whilst attending a dog show at the P & J Arena. Cozy bar area plus a sheltered outdoor seating area, although just wooden picnic style tables. Lovely library , which we didn’t find until the day we left.

Breakfasts were awful. Food was obviously cooked well in advance and served like shoe leather. There is only one room which is accessible to people who can’t climb stairs and no lift. This was not mentioned on the web-site. Neither is the fact that the ‘ground floor’ rooms, which are down a flight of 6 or so steps, are only doubles. The twins are all upstairs. Not good if you are travelling with an acquaintance !
