KC Grande Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

Reception staff and bellboys were very friendly and welcoming. Also the cleaning staff. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was allright nothing special. Bacon was somehow tasteless. Eggs Benedict Tom Yam was nice. A lot of choice. Thai food was really great (massaman curry you have to try, if they have it, even though it's breakfast). We once had food in the hotel for lunch on our last day and it was surprisingly good! Loved the Tamarind sauce prawns and the fried squid. French fries were also nice. Happy hour cocktails aren't worth it (also not clear when it's happy hour). Small glasses and have to buy 2 and get one free. Better is to try the KC secret cocktail for the full price and double size the glass. Beach was pretty (for Koh Chang). If you want really pretty beaches go to Koh Phi Phi (high prices) or Koh Larn (most people aren't as friendly). If you are looking for very nice people and a tropical beach jungle feel Koh Chang is the Island for you. Many people aren't sure to choose KC or Centara I've seen in my research. So we stayed 4 nights at KC and 6 at Centara. We still don't like which one we like best even though not the same. Because they both score good on different things: Breakfast is flavourwise better at Centara for foreign food. For Thai food it's the other way around (I'm a good judge as I've spend over 7 years in Thailand). Lunch / dinner is a lot better at KC. Organisationwise (management wise) KC is way better than Centara. Very calm and pretty nature at Centara with huge green spaces but a prettier beach at KC. Location of KC is closer to 7eleven (next door) and some restaurants that are fine but not great, bars and laundry places. Massages around KC arent great. Best to have a beach massage at the hotel. Its worth the double price. Cosy feel. At Centara you have to walk about 7 minutes before you hit the big main road.

Restaurant and bar staff could be a bit more outgoing and friendly.

very lovely location , the best part of all beaches in Koh Chang even I explored all , the garden villa was excellent , people take care everyday the room and the place generally, the matress very comfortable and the ac without noisy which is common in Thailand , the breakfast was gorgeous with a lot of variations and huge buffet , the staff was real very friendly and not fake. if I will be back to koh Chang I will book the same hotel for sure even it’s overpriced

I didn’t like the story with the sun beds , I think the amount of the sun beds is 15% compare with the guests that could host the hotel, so if you need to enjoy the sun with sun beds should put alarm on 07:00 to put your towels for reserved, many people put the towels and never stay on the sun bed , this is unacceptable for a 5 stars resort to be out of the control , the second issue was the soundproof on my villa , there was a locked door between 2 villas and you could listen enything from the “neighbors” , I think they have for connected the houses for a big company but it’s not good solution , that was annoying The hill building need renovation and fortunately I didn’t book there

location excellent in a very lush property. It was great with so many pool ( 4) so people could spread out and the pools won’t be overcrowded! Easy acces to beach, basically you can just live in your bathing suit all day. We stayed at the Villas with interconnecting room at first but was moved after the first night because some ants problem after the rain. The other Villa we were moved to was almost an upgrade. It was one Villa away from beach, we got two Villas instead of interconnecting. Breakfast was the best I have ever had anywhere in the world BUT one thing I don’t like was that I wasn’t able to bring some extra food back to the room for my 10 month old baby.

Not allowing to bring some food back to the room for my son of 10 month old for later. The Island has very limited baby food (which we weren’t aware of) in generel and this was a great opportunity to have some food for my son to eat for lunch since they served none of what they serve for breakfast for the rest of the day! This is a minus especially since we pay a decent amount of money to stay here.

room- we booked the garden villa which is separate from the main area, very quiet, private. nice garden view. housekeeping- did great job to clean our room, also made a bouquet for me, thank you so much, it bring me pleasure. pool- we did not use the pool because we are so close to the beach, we keep the deck chair under the big tree, spend all day by the beach, super relax. but we saw family with kids use the pool a lot. breakfast- fantastic. a lot of options for breakfast, feel like a "big swimming pool " , quality is good, really enjoy the noodles. location- very convenient to the beach and to the street, 711, restaurants, massage.....

Very enjoyable, staff perfect, helpful, excellent location right by the sea, big spacious rooms, well equiped, really good mattresses, spa-beach massage provided by hotel masseuses- very good, breakfast - fantastic(from asian, to european, cold, hot bufet.. everything one can imagine to have for breakfast ), coffee - Jura espresso machines - what to say, 12 out of 10 points, we are group of very frequent travellers, so I can compare with many other parts of the world, hospitality here is excellent, keep it up, we will defenetly come back, thank you for really enjoyable stay.

Free use of kayaks + sup boards, lots of activities (yoga, thai boxing), good breakfast, nice location on the beach

Sunbeds are reserved early in the morning with towels etc.

Always a pleasure to stay at the KC Grande Resort! Our 2nd visit and it was great to be back! Even out of season, their standards didn't drop! Great stay in the Garden deluxe villa.

One small thing, the bar could do with using real alcohol and this is coming from someone who has a family business and don't mind a tipple from now and again. But I have to say that most of the cocktails at the bar taste like chemicals and well, that usually inclines that they are either using bad alcohol or it has turned. I feel awful to complain but I did ask the staff but they were not able to say much about it...

The resort is great. The villa was spacious anf bright, things worked. Breakfasts were great, very wide selections, changed day-to-day. Exceptional pool, looked like 50 m. Very nice sandy beach. The resort is right in the village.

The village is a bit pricey, compared to e.g. Klong Prao. Definitely take the card you have used to make the reservation on Booking with you! I didn't and ended up being charged twice (!!), once on the card from the reservation and for the second time from the card I presented at the check-in. I've never seen anything like this in my life. Obvoiusly, the hotel refunded me the first charge, althought due to conversion rates this ended up to be 43 EUR less. But although I digged into it I never really understood why did they charge me on the reservation card when they also "have to" charge me on the card presented at the check-in.

The room design for ocean room was exceptional with large bathroom. Breakfast offering designed to suit variety of cultures. We had many pools to select from, and the main pool bar provided attentive service. We were pleasantly surprised by the KC Grande, especially location, easy access to beach bars/restaurants. Staff were terrific.

KC Grande need to update their music in their restaurants and spa - piano tune was on a loop and sounded like lift/shopping centre music, which became an ‘ear worm’ after a weeks stay! They need to update to 21st century playlist like that played in the pool bar.

the luxery ambient .. we were in the paradise beach villa and it was amazing

everything was perfect.. just there were some kids.. and we don’t like children
