Awa Resort Koh Chang

Very big rooms, very big bathrooms, perfect quiet private space to the sea, good breakfast, beautiful style, excellent service. Amazing views out to sea on very comfortable beds.

Internet connection was only really good in reception. It was poor in room for me on ground floor and not good in some of the public spaces.

This hotel is of the highest quality. The rooms are big, comfortable and kept very clean. The pool is superb with lots of sunbeds. More sunbeds are on the hotel beach. A great place to watch the sun set. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. In Particular, Heng, who always checked that we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the food here. The breakfast is varied and of high quality. We will stay here again. Excellent value. Of all the hotels we have stayed in many different places in the world, the Awa is definitely one of my favourites. I would highly recommend it.

There was nothing to dislike.

The room was lovely with a really comfortable bed & lovely decor. We liked the outside seating area overlooking the pool with it’s own day bed. Housekeeping did a great job & we appreciated the free water daily. Breakfast was plentiful, with a really good variety & quality. The outside areas were lovely, the pool was perfect with the most comfortable sun beds we have used & the beach area is amazing to watch the sunset from! The staff were all friendly, helpful & Polite especially Wanisa the manager we met on reception. We would definitely stay again at this hotel if we returned to Koh Chang.

The water could be a bit hotter but wasn’t a problem as it was so hot outside.

Property has a nice sand/beach area, and a natural beach during low tide as well as a very spacious Pool. Property has a good selection of Foods at the Breakfast Buffet and and in the Evening Dining and Drinks at the Beach are available.

Wifi was unstable in the room because it was on the edge of the building. Staff still needs more experience, as the area is just opening back up after covid.

The hotel is very clean and well looked after breakfast was excellent with Thai and European food the food in the restaurant was excellent and also food and cocktails round the pool were very good value I must say special thanks to Heng who looked after us very well as usual we missed his fire show because not there on the Saturday night but we have seen on other occasions and brilliant show thanks Heng

The only thing is I personally would like to see some chairs around the pool

we loved everything about this hotel, staff was great, breakfast very tasty and plenty to choose from, the pool was absolutely amazing, room was spacious and cozy, also perfectly cleaned every day and we absolutely loved the 2 happy hours per day!

the resort does not have a sandy beach, only stairs that lead straight to the sea. we didn’t mind at all but someone might find it inconvenient. also the pool playlist could be changed sometimes (same 10 songs all over again every day) but That’s just a minor thing

Good central location for Kae Bai. Large room with two beds. Very clean. A decent-sized bathtub. The breakfast buffet was ok. Beautiful sunset viewing. The staff from the front desk, the doormen, the cleaners, and the restaurant and bar staff were great.

Poor lighting in the room. Wi-fi was very sporadic in our room. We had to sit outside for more reliable wi-fi. We could not find any bacon at the breakfast buffet. No cupboards or drawers in the room though plenty of areas to dump all your stuff. No covered car park. No beach at the front of the hotel. It did not worry us but others may be disappointed.

Very comfortable and quiet. Beautiful pool and the sea can be accessed via steps. Lots of choice for breakfast and the restaurant food was good too.

There's no beach as such but the sand can be accessed easily at low tide or by walking
