Loved the location and the hotel itself. Very cozy, neat and calm. It looks even better than the photographs can show! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. A nice thing is that the hotel is located on the street where the Sunday market is held, so around 5 or 6 pm it’s a great place to walk around and have fun. It gets busy, but in a really nice relaxed Thai-like way. Plus, there’s a great massage salon within a few minutes walk. It’s called Zenza, and I got the best Thai massage there — thorough and powerful.

The hotel had a nice pool that came in handy during the hot summer days. Although we did not opt in for daily housekeeping, a bag with 2 bottled waters and toilet rolls were always hanging outside our door - which we appreciate. There is a cluster of shops (pass the fruit / ice cream shops & motorbike rental) on the right side of the hotel that had some nice tourist giftshops. My partner and I particularly enjoyed the phad thai and mango sticky rice there and there is also a café that served good coffee. WiFi around the premise was strong and there was no limit to the number of devices that could connect.

There were extra pillows provided and can be found in the cupboard but they looked old and dirty that even the clean covers over it made me feel uncomfortable using.

Excellent location. Right on Sunday market street but also close to many temples and Pratu Tha Phae. 10 min walk to Chiang Mai Gate for Wua Lai Walking Street. Easy to get a Grab from Monday to Saturday. Main shopping locations are a short drive away. Very comfortable beds in Executive Suite. 2 beds, 2 TVs, and 2 balconies. Our suite was exceptional.

The forest shower had no hot water. It would get cold after 30 seconds. We used the shower head for the bathtub instead that never ran out of hot water. The bathtub size was very big and nice. The pool never got any sun during our 5 day stay. It doesn't reach the pool. Maybe it was because of the time of the year but just a heads up.

I can not recommend this property enough. Not only is it central and within walking distance to all major sites, but it is also right at the doorstep of the Sunday Market. This was my main reason for choosing to stay, and it did not disappoint. The room was clean and comfy, and the balcony opened to the streets, which I loved (but if you're a light sleeper, it's best to request one away from the streets). The bathroom was spacious and had hot water. The hotel's staff was always so helpful. I was always asking questions, and they always helped. The hotel has a 7eleven and a money exchange close by for convenience. Felt like a home away from home. Can't wait to book again.

The rooms were clean and they also gave extra memory foam pillows which i found useful. The staff was really helpful. They helped with all the information needed for our tours. A big shout out to the team.

I wouldn't say there is anything I did not like but I will call out few things which you may want to consider while planning the trip. 1. There is no breakfast 2. The hotel is in the city centre, hence it can be noisy if you are a light sleeper 3. Sunday There is a night market which can cause some road closures hence plan accordingly.

Moon Dragon hotel offers clean and well designed rooms, a shaded pool, friendly service, and an extremely central location in the heart of the old town. We were treated warmly throughout our stay. Good price quality ratio!

Cleanliness and maintenance of bathroom could be improved. Windows are quite old and do not close properly. They should be replaced as they hardly keep noise/heat out. If you are sensitive to noise from the street this might be an issue. The pool looks bigger from the pictures than it is in reality (maybe 10x3?)

Nice little hotel: spacious room, comfy bed with a small bathroom. It is located right on the Sunday Night Market so you can literally get out of the hotel and start shopping (I can imagine it must be complicated to arrive on a Sunday though since the street is closed then). It is really close to a lot of temples and you can just walk to them. It's a very walkable area, not too busy besides the night market day. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well.

I requested a taxi pick up and they said they didn't have that service. You can get a taxi at airport no problem but most hotels we stayed out had the option to pick us up.

Excellent facilities! We loved both, the swimming pool and the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we had a nice balcony facing the street (there was no noise during the night). The location was perfect to reach places of interest such as the temples, the night market and plenty of life music bars! We stayed there when the incredible Sunday market took place right in our street, we loved it! As for the staff, they were incredibly kind and helpful, they even let us leave our bags in the hotel and swim in the pool after we had already checked out! :)

Moon Dragon was an amazing place to stay. It's in one of the best locations, has a great pool area and the rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel let us check in early and store our bags when leaving which was greatly appreciated. The bed in this hotel is one of the most comfiest I have ever slept in - it was so good. Room was equipped with a safety deposit box and usual kettle, fridge etc. Over all the hotel had a luxurious feel about it, I wish I could have stayed longer.

the room same as the picture and super value for the money. Room equipment is super luxurious,location is good,just locate at Sunday night market walking street.Love this hotel so much!

we are self driving trip in Chiang Mai,this hotel only provide two parking lot in front of the hotel. And we check in on Sunday ,the road totally blocked,no space to parking so we need to park a bit far,but the staff was really nice help us to move our luggage and help us to shift our car next day.
