Hechtplatz Hotel - Self Check-in

I have reviewed before. Since then I've made Hechtplatz Hotel my regular accommodation when in Zurich on business. It's a charming European style hotel. The location is marvelous, just 5 minutes to Bellevue platz with tram stop. It's actually not a bad walk to the train station, if weather is dry. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is on a pedestrian street, helps to keep it quiet. They don't have a restaurant of there own, but there is a nice bar on the ground floor. I've even held a few business meetings here. I would recommend to business travelers and tourists visiting Zurich alike

No issues on my recent stays

Location is great. Cost is good value for the area. Less than 5 mins to tram at Bellevueplatz with connection to Central station, itself a 15 min walk. River is near as is the Opera house. Hotel has a bar on the ground floor and rooftop terrace. No food served. But you can order delivery from nearby places. There are many cafes and restaurants in the immediate area, including the famous Cafe Odeon. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Tip for May 2023, there is a circus on the square under 10 min walk an excellent show wel worth the ticket price

An offer if sandwiches or snacks to purchase would be good, nothing fancy pre packaged.

Everything was great. The hotel is in the center, 5 minutes from the train station, close to restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel is new, has fast wifi, hot water, elevator, comfortable bed and a bar with live music. The attention was the best, Linda and Anita helped us a lot, we were able to check in before the time, we were able to check out after the time. We had a problem with the Swiss telephone company, since we did not know German we could not communicate with customer service, and Linda spent more than 1 hour on her personal cell phone talking to the company, everything could be solved thanks to her help .

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Zurich Altstadt and my favourite part.. Shops, Bars, restaurants are at your fingertips. the lake is only minutes away. the owner was extremely helpful in providing anything else I needed in the room.

My room was very small but then i kind of expected that in a reasonably priced hotel in the middle of Zurich Altstadt. If you're an early sleeper it's not the quietest place but bear in mind that you're in an area with bars and restaurants around, at midnight things quieten down usually though.

This place was great! The room price was very low for the quality. And the location was ideal! Just a short tram ride to Banhoffstrasse and walking distance to the Opera House. Linda, the owner, was one of the nicest people I’ve met in all my years of traveling! She welcomed me with a complimentary beer and even pressed my suit free of charge! The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfy and the WiFi was fast! I’m definitely staying there again and would encourage everyone to do so as well!

Honestly, my stay was perfect! Exceeded my expectations 🙂

Location, cleanliness, elevator

Self service did not work, had to call someone on phone. This is not acceptable, to assume everyone will have a working phone, or assume other side will pick the phone.

The hotel cup to bottom is completely renovated and all the furniture is brand-new which was quite a shock because most hotels have well worn in beds and facilities. Everything is well organised and easy to deal with because the owner is on site and is available most hours of the day and night

It was a question about available breakfast but the owner tells me that in the future there will be a continental breakfast available and coffee in the room

Very accommodating friendly& straightforward receptionist , it’s in City centre , from zurich airport take. Tram Number 10 (HB) and stop at Central tram station then from there take number 4 tram stop at belevieu ( only to 2 stops from there ) then that’s the hotel , close to the lake and lots of restaurant around its in perfect location.

The hotel is ideally located in a very nice and lively part of Zurich. Yet it is in a small street away from the noise, and so I spent a very peaceful night. The room was not too large, but this is what I had paid for, it is very clean (bed sheets, floor, bathroom…). Bed is super comfortable, and the hotel itself is calm in generaI. would definitely go again. The personel is very kind.

This is in city center. Convenient to go any places in Zurich. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner Linda is a great host. She is so generous and accommodative. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Zurich. -ashok
