B&B HOTEL St Gallen

𝖙𝖍𝖊 location was very close walk to 𝖙𝖍𝖊 train station st Gallen st Fiden which was just a five minute train ride to st Gallen. 𝕾𝖔 public transport was very accessible . There was also a bus stop outside 𝖙𝖍𝖊 hotel. 𝖙𝖍𝖊 restaurant staff were kind enough to offer us croissants 𝓐𝓷𝓭 danish as ᏇᏋ had missed breakfast 𝓐𝓷𝓭 wanted to buy some croissants but they offered it to us free 𝓞𝓯 charge. There was a coffee machine in 𝖙𝖍𝖊 hotel itself. Supermarket Closeby.. 𝕾𝖔 good value 𝓯𝓸𝓻 money in a place like Switzerland

𝖙𝖍𝖊 cleaning though done wasn’t done at all. Even 𝖙𝖍𝖊 bed wasn’t dusted .. leave alone sheets changed. ᏇᏋ stayed 𝓯𝓸𝓻 three nights 𝓐𝓷𝓭 requested cleaning only One day in between but not satisfactory

Nice room Under 5 minutes to train station, bus stops and supermarket - buses 9,6 and 11. Very spacious shower and I loved it Very clean on arrival though check in very slow as they couldn't find our booking A little issue we had was resolved very quickly

You have to ask for the free public transport card from Reception, they should provide automatically and then there were issues with the internet so we couldn't get it on the first day, on arrival, they didn't send it to us properly Lift a little slow Our room wasn't cleaned on one day but we were able to get towels from reception with no problems Wasn't informed of emergency contact overnight as no phone in room or reception overnight Tea/coffee facilities not in room but a coffee machine in reception at a reasonable price Not really any restaurants in the area - a nice (but expensive Chinese around the corner, a pizza delivery up the road, also expensive, discovered a very nice Italian restaurant on the main road with good prices on the bus route next to Migros)

This hotel is a little gem in St Faden. Since it is so close to the station and St Gallen University, it is ideal for visiting academics. The modern style and minimalistic layout of the room was refreshing. After a long day, the shower was refreshing and a good sleep on an excellent bed mattress. The hotel is exceptionally quiet, even the corridors! During night time the passing train's wheels 'clackety-clack' had a smoothing effect - may be my love for trains! The breakfast buffet was also excellent.

My wife did struggle to open the room door after entering the 6 digit code but it might be an anomaly.

The location was great. A little bit of a walk from the train because of the ongoing construction. However, the location was convenient and there was a bus stop near it too. The staff were so friendly as they allowed us to use the Dining Room because we brought our own food, we cleaned afterwards of course. It was a real value for money. We enjoyed our stay here. There were Vendo Machines and Coffee Machines in the lobby, very convenient if you decide not to pay for the breakfast buffet. But we did, and the breakfast spread was good also.

I can't think of anything bad right now. Maybe just the roads outside because I think nearby they're building overpasses or roads, I dunno. But of course, this is non of the hotels' fault. :D

The bed quality was perfect, air condition, tv and WIFI worked smoothly. Due to the absence of any room services and door lock with numeric code, the check-out is very fast :) - practically does not exist.

The comfort and equipment of the room is so basic, that even for two person there is only one chair, one paper jar and a single bed sheet. The breakfast is quite overpriced, a similar choice is available nearby for half price. It is difficult to understand why the wi-fi access is limited to three devices per room...?

Everything. I got to choose my room if I wanted a view or a quiet room. The room looked exactly as pictured if not better. The bed was comfortable with amazing pillows. The room was spotlessly clean. Good black out curtains too. The bathroom was gorgeous, spacious and modern. The shower had great pressure and the system was easy to work out. The staff were amazing and friendly with both checking me in and out. I was also able to store my luggage in a locked closet while I explored for the day after I’d checked out. Amazing staff, amazing hotel, definitely worth the money. Would come here again in a heartbeat.

The only thing that could’ve been improved was the shower drain was a bit slow to drain so it filled up with water a bit quickly. But it was easy to deal with and didn’t hinder the experience much. There were also no cups in the bathroom, but again, something easy to deal with and not entirely necessary in a hotel.

- modern & spacious rooms - comfy beds - mostly clean (I’ve stayed there 4 times already and one time the floor didn’t seem to have been cleaned, the other 3 times everything as it should be) - very friendly staff - comfortable temperature even in the heat of the summer - will always choose this hotel when staying over for work in St. Gallen, it definitely offers the best value for the money you pay

- the walls seem a bit thin so depending on your neighbours you can hear them well if they’re not too respectful of other people in the hotel - nothing else comes to mind

I must say that the staff there was wonderful, extremely helpful, cannot say a bad thing about their service. The room was great, big size/dimensions, spacious shower, room temperature easily manageable. I found my stay absolutely great.

I do not have an actual complaint. My "biggest" issue was the walking distance to the city center but I knew that in advance and I still decided to stay there, also not like the hotel can be moved to a different spot, so I have no real topic to speak about.

To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading a few recent reviews about “bad smell” in room. Here is my experience: all rooms have been very clean and had a fresh, clean smell. Th receptionist (on both days) have been very polite and explained everything necessary. I even received a call from the hotel, so they made sure that I would arrive on time before reception closes. About the noises (also a negative previous review) - yes you’re close to the road, but it wasn’t disturbing. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend to request a room in the other side. I will def stay again at this hotel. Thanks a lot for your great service :)

The staff were extremely helpful and professional. The rooms super modern and air conditioned plus I could open windows which is important to me. (Ask for a room facing the back - very quiet) And they have elevators. Nice breakfast options including eggs and bacon, muesli, fresh fruit. For the price it was much better than expected.

I couldn’t contact the reception from the room and I didn’t have a cell phone that worked in Switzerland so I had to go down in person to ask a few questions. Not a big deal. Pillows too thick - would like an option of softer, thinner pillows. A little out of the way.
