The location is fabulous. We also loved the outdoor cafe area and would have loved sitting in the back garden if not for the two days of rain. The continental breakfast was very good, the restaurant was spotless. The lounge area has a lovely view of the street and the lake.

Being in my seventies, I found it challenging to have to cart my two suitcases up a flight of stairs to the elevator. Luckily, a staff member saw me struggling and came to my aid. The elevator is small but worked nicely to get us up to the fifth floor. Our room was spacious, the bathroom clean and well maintained, and we loved the view from our windows.

This is a very characterful hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Our room was a very interesting shape and rather small, but the beds were very comfortable and the shower, although squeezed into a corner, was still remarkably effective. There was an excellent breakfast buffet and the restaurant, where we ate dinner one the evening, was excellent. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main station and a very short distance from the lake front, which means it is very conveniently located for exploring Luzern and for accessing the ferries that provide transport around the lake. Although we didn't make use of them, it is also conveniently situated for public transport in Luzern which is free with the card provided by the hotel.

Slightly more room and a firmer pillow would have been nice but overall, we really liked the hotel.

Well, quite a surprise. Right in the city centre so we expected a little noise or disturbance. There was absolutely none. Reception were superb, we had skiing gear on, and in, the car so were a little worried about secure parking, also we chose the wrong road to the hotel so were initially not parked outside to unload. No problem, valet parking (at a cost) and he drove the car back to the hotel as I had left my phone in. Great food and service in the restaurant which had a lovely atmosphere being in the old part of the building. The room was not huge but perfectly comfortable with a quirky tiled shower room. Plenty of areas in the hotel for a beer or coffee.

The location was excellent - approximately 15 mins walk from the train station and close to the various places of interest that one may like to visit. We loved the ringing of the bells of a church close to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and nice. Breakfast was great. Though the items offered were almost always the same, the variety was enough to have a different breakfast each day. Moreover the food was fresh and good. The hotel restaurants provide very good food.

The lift does not reach the floor where one is accommodated. Hence, one must carry luggage up or down a few steps to reach the desired floor. However, I must mention that when the hotel staff noticed that we were carrying the luggage up or down the stairs, they offered to carry it themselves. Pillows are very soft.

The location is great just in the city center, walking distance to the major touristic attractions, the breakfast is amazing with great variety of food, the room is clean, spacious, and equipped with everything. You get a QR code upon check-in that offers free transportation inside the city, free wifi access in the city center as well, and we even got a 10% reduction when we reserved Pilatus trip.

The breakfast is a bit understaffed, they were trying to accomodate the different requests as much as possible, but it took some time to get your coffee/hot cholocate/tea or eggs. You have to take few steps to the elevator at the reception and at the room floor, which is not very convenient with strollers, but we managed it.

We loved the location as it was close to the lake and train station. The staff at reception , Breakfast and restaurant were friendly. The breakfast had lots of options and catered for gluten free bread due to coeliac. Had a great meal at the restaurant. Beds were comfortable

We were in the historical building on the property and as per other reviewers, it was noisy when floor above were walking around (probably made worse as young children above). We found the room very light in the morning but improved the second night as we closed the shutters. Needed ear plugs to block out the church bells during the night. We would choose a larger room next time as difficult to fit in 3 large suitcases.

Alright, this is one of those hotels where they took a very old building, reinforced it with steel beams, and decorated it throughout with charming boutique details. This might be my favorite kind of hotel - even better than the ultra-modern Scandinavian chic. Even though we didn't spend much time in the room, every minute there was a joy. The bathroom featured hand-crafted cartoon tiles of various bathroom items and happy faces. The ceramic toilet was avocado green. The bedroom art was abstract at first but upon closer inspection might be a collection of phalli. I expect every room is different, and I'm sure they are all designed to delight. Other wins: the cafe/bar made delicious frozen strawberry margaritas (not what I expected in the Swiss Alps). The breakfast room was charming and cozy beyond description. I never ate so many buttered croissants before. This hotel was easily walkable to the old part of town, the train station, and around the lake. We travelled by train through Switzerland, with stays in Bregenz (Austria), Luzern, Interlaken, Montreux and Geneva. Don't tell anyone but Luzern was our favorite place. Keep it a secret. Tell your friends they should go somewhere else. I want to return to Luzern. Thank you.

The elevator was relatively low-tech. I was not afraid but I could imagine a small child guillotined between floors. Don't bring your kids here. The room A/C was a very loud stand-alone unit next to the window. Seriously if you're one of those fancy bourgeois travelers you would probably hate how old and dodgy this place is... you should go somewhere else.

This was located in a very good part of the city. A short walk out of the train station, over the bridge and along the water, it’s located back in a little area right in front of the church of St. Leodegar. It took me a minute to spot it, as the entrance is nestled along the side. Breakfast was very good and had a lot of selections. Everyone that I encountered that worked there was super friendly and helpful.

There’s no lift in the older section, so be prepared to take your luggage up. Although, they will help you and are very happy to do it. The room was a bit stuffy and could have benefited from a fan so the windows didn’t have to stay open inviting bugs.

Incredible central location. Incredible service when arrived - got luggage from car - delivered it to the rooms and parked the vehicle (valet service of course was at a cost - but very convenient) Great breakfast - had wonderful dinner in the patio area. Food was always top quality.

This is a very old hotel and a little rustic - if you are looking for a modern hotel room - this may not be for you. My room was very clean with all the amenities however single rooftop type window on the top floor with no air conditioning in my room. Family members stayed in the older part of the hotel and one member kept hitting his head on the ceiling beams in the room.
