Hotel Krebs Interlaken

Location was very good. Right in the centre of Interlaken and close to all amenities. Train station west very near and shops close by. The staff were very helpful and helped us a lot when we arrived late due to a delay of our flight. The room was always very clean and warm. Good supply of toiletries. We always found two bottles of water after the cleaning was done as well as coffee, tea and milk sachets in the room. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help.

Krebs has character and charm and while that might suggest outdated to some, the bathrooms and floors in the rooms have been modernised. The charm remained intact yet the convenience and cleanliness of a modern bathroom was greatly appreciated. It is very close to Interlaken west rail station and the west section of Interlaken is great for shopping, adventure tours and restaurants. Reception staff were very helpful and cheery.

The wi-fi was available but not accessible in the room I stayed in. I can’t comment on the restaurant as I didn’t eat there.

The hotel is a few meters from the Interlaken West train station. I really appreciated the fact that I received an upgrade to a superior room type. Perfect cleanliness, comfortable bed and pillows, extremely kind and always smiling staff. The room was cleaned daily and the towels changed every day.

I didn't like the fact that at breakfast there were always products missing, and they were brought very late or not at all from the kitchen. For example, on the last morning, at 8 o'clock in the morning, there were no croissants at all, there was no cheese, no butter, no watermelon.

The location couldn't be more convenient - right off of the Interlaken West train station, with plenty of bus stops nearby to connect to the rest of Interlaken and the Jungfrau region. We loved the facilities, super clean and quite spacious for a European basic hotel room. The breakfast was incredible, best hotel breakfast I've had at this price! Despite being in the middle of town it was very quiet, we heard no noise and had a great night's sleep every night (although that could be due to all the hiking we were doing). Would absolutely return!

The wifi is a bit spotty, but we had international data so this wasn't a big deal.

The staff were quite nice, but the room - most important of all - was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and very modern. It was so good in fact, that I barely even wanted to leave the room. And what I also really like about this hotel is how it is situated - right in the heart of Interlaken. Overall you cannot go wrong with staying here.

The selection of breakfast was rather limited and the choices weren't very satisfying. It tasted decent though. Also where the available parking is, is not very obvious. However it is really close once you get there.

The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous! I loved the balcony that was also included! And loved the location the hotel is at.

The breakfast was not tasty at all. Barely had any options and the options they did have were all empty. They didn’t restock or refill the food even though there was still an hour and a half left of breakfast. Barely got to eat there at all. You need to make sure you’re there right at 6:30am if you want to get any breakfast.

Very spacious and nice room, clean. *rd floor, in the city center close to everything Also the restaurant was very specious and ideal for families with big strollers. Base rate for the room was ok

Heating system - the thermostat in the room was not working properly and we had 27 degrees all night. We were told they fixed it but the day after we still had 27 degrees. Luckily we found a way to switch off completely and it went down to 24. Extra fee (15/day) for parking and baby bed (35/day) - in the end I had to bring my baby bed as I found it very expensive. Breakfast could be improved

Krebs is a lovely old hotel, very quiet and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Superior Twin room was spacious enough for 2 people, and the sofa & coffee table was a welcome addition to the room, allowing us to spread ourselves and our belongings out during our 4-night stay. The location is ideal, just a short walk to Interlaken West train station, and about a 15-minute walk to Interlaken Ost. The hotel restaurant is good, we ate there several times (once with authentic fondue), and there are also many other options within easy walking distance (Ristorante Vacanze Romane is recommended). The breakfast buffet was plentiful, with many hot and cold options.

Our room faced the back of the hotel, and we would have preferred one facing the street instead of the back of the hotel, but obviously not every room can face the street. But at the same time, we could see Harder Klum out the window, so I can't really complain.

Our corner room on an upper floor was lovely - spacious, quiet and with a great view. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and good duvets. The room was well furnished and had a table and two chairs which we were able to use for eating our dinner one evening, and which provided a lovely space for relaxing when we weren't out and about exploring. There was plenty of storage space for bags and belongings. The location was excellent - a short walk from the railway station, close to shopping and restaurants and close to the park where the paragliders land. The breakfast was very good - a typical continental breakfast with good options.

I didn't like anything about Hotel Krebs - I loved it all!! Everything from the moment we arrived to when we left was just perfect. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help us. Our room was very large and although it overlooked the Main Street there was no noise. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our bathroom was very big and there were plenty of toiletries if needed. The breakfast was fantastic. There was plenty of choice and plenty of it too. The restaurant where we ate both nights was lovely. The food was amazing and not overly priced. The waiter (Marinos) helped us choose our meals. He served us both evenings we were there. I could not fault a single thing whilst we were there. If we ever go to Interlaken again we will certainly stay there.

The only thing I didn't like about Hotel Krebs was the fact we had to leave it! I wish we could have stayed longer.
