Cafe Aroma Inn

It’s in the best possible location especially if you come by train. All the main extractions and some of the best food spots are all between a 5 and a 20 minutes walk. I needed no transport for anything in Kandy. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. There’s enough space for luggage and it’s not cramped. The bathroom and toilet were very clean and everything worked great.

The curtains on the glass walls for rooms that don’t face outside are just uncomfortable and concerning about privacy in the building. The lock on the door seems like it might come off any day. I found some tiny possible bed bugs and then found cracks in the headboard of the bed. It’s not a full infestation (yet) and I didn’t see any after the first 2-3. A bit odd that 3 guests arrived and only 2 got welcome drinks, just not a very good look.

The Aroma Inn is situated right in the middle of the Kandy Town amidst the busy streets. Among all the hustle and bustle of the streets and tiny side roads is this amazing hotel!! If you want to really "Feel" the vibe of Kandy Town you cannot find a better place. The rooms are spacious and clean and very beautifully decorated. So cosy and comfy! The bathroom was clean and spacious and all toiletries were provided. The restaurant was exceptional with an absolutely brilliant and varied menu and very reasonable too. The "English" breakfast was truly brilliant and included everything you would expect and more! My wife is particular about her food and does not eat anything an everything but the restaurant here had everything she craved for and she was really into the food provided! I have been to Kandy many times and stayed at many hotels including 5 star hotels but the Aroma Inn really blew me away and made me forget that 5 star hotels even exist as we were given 5 star treatment from beginning to end!! Such a wonderful welcome and staff go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met and more. I was on my honeymoon and our stay at Aroma Inn added to our special unforgettable memories!!

Nothing!! Everything was PERFECT!!!!!!

The hotel was ideally located in Kandy, just a few minutes from the heart of the city and close to all main tourist attractions. It was also very clean and surprisingly quiet for its location. All the staff were kind, considerate and courteous. They were only too willing to answer any questions or queries I had during my stay. The room was comfortable with a big double bed. Sheets and towels were changed regularly and the bin emptied. The bathroom and toilet were very clean and the hot water for the morning shower was delightful. The Continental Breakfast was just what I needed for the start of the day.

As a person who likes to sleep with fresh air during the night, I was disappointed that there were no windows in the room which could be opened during the hours of darkness. This resulted in the room becoming stuffy and I often awoke with a dry, sore throat. During my stay I opted for the Continental Breakfast. It was satisfactory, except for the toast, which on some mornings was just ordinary, untoasted white bread. Disappointing, because the rest of the breakfast was very good.

I loved everything about the property, the staff, the room, the service, it was all exceptional and worth the money. We had a lot of plans to travel out but the room and bed was so comfortable we ended up sleeping well. We requested a late checkout because our train was in the evening but unfortunately they were fully booked but they were so nice to let us leave the luggage at the concierge while we went out to look around the city until it was time. They also have an amazing cafe downstairs, with the cleanest rest rooms too.

I loved the property, no complaints

The room was spacious and super clean. We loved the hot rain shower, with equipped bathroom. I slept very nicely with lot of soft pillows. And you have a TV with HBO family and many other channels. But the BEST was the staff ! So welcoming, nice, smiling and helpful. They booked me a pick me so I save money, directed me to their shop for a good money exchange, answered all our questions. Ashan, from the staff, took personal care of us. And the location is sick to visit the temple of the tooth relics and world Buddhism museum, which I highly recommend.

There is no window on the outside.

I had an excellent stay with my family at during 1st Kumbal Perahera with balcony view. The experience was truly memorable. One of the standout features was the affordability of the food options available. It was great to find delicious meals that didn't break the bank. Overall, a fantastic stay that I would highly recommend!

One aspect that could be improved was the payment system for food. We had to pay for our meals every time we ordered, which could be a bit inconvenient. It might be more convenient for guests to settle the food bill at checkout. Nonetheless, it didn't overshadow our overall positive experience at the hotel.

Nice property in the Kandy city centre. It is very close to all important places of Kandy like tooth relic temple , Kandy lake ! Close to all shopping area ! There are many good hotels around for for lunch / dinner like Balaji dosa , Devon etc . The restaurant attached to cafe aroma inn has also got great food options ! The staff are very friendly and highly professional! They always treat you with warm smile and are looking forward for any help ! Thank you Cafe aroma inn for the wonderful stay ! Such a great location, amazing staff, super nice and very kind. For being so central the rooms are spacious and very quiet - a nice haven from bustling Kandy. Super close to market, lake, great restaurants, and 15 min walk to train station.

Only minor was that there are no windows, but wasn’t too bad as there’s a balcony that you can sit on and overlook the busy street.

The customer service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The room had everything you needed and was very clean. They were very happy to give fresh towels and more water. Perfect location for sightseeing and good restaurants and cafes

We thought we would have a mini fridge and a table to sit at as this was described in the booking. However they promptly explained they only provide this service now if guests ask.

Central location & easy access to the town sites. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Air con unit leaked water profusely over the electrics & down the mirror on to the dressing table for a long time after it was switched on. When asked they said 'no problem'! The roof flashing outside the room blew up in the wind intermittently overnight. Making an alarming noise. Hot water was in short supply.
