Radisson Blu Resort Galle

Huge hotel. Caters to big groups. Got all the facilities you need. Huge pool and excellent staff.

Its a resort so don't expect the local life, although the staff are super friendly. The beach is tiny and gets big waves. Don't expect to easily swim in the sea. Do go out of the resort for food and nicer beaches. It's between 2 beautiful towns so do go on day trips.

Hotel was very nice and the beach was walking distance to the hotel. The rooms were well equipped and lovely. The breakfast was amazingly good with a wide variety. Close to Galle Fort with a car. Very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.

In Sri Lanka we normally go to hotels with a driver. The hotel did not have any driver accommodation despite my request earlier on. The receptionist did not have a solution to this and didn't seem to care. Had to complain to the manager to sort an alternative accommodation for the driver.

The location and staff were very good

The Wi-fi was terrible I had to go to a nearby coffee shop to get my emails. This is a basic requirement and the fact that a simple coffee shop was able to provide a good Wi-fi that a 5 star hotel could not is a bit worrying, I did tell the staff about the issue at the time but it was not corrected.

They have a huge variety for breakfast and dinner. The pool is quite big and the water is warm. All the rooms are facing the ocean. I liked the vibe of this place, the stuff is very welcoming and helpful. The room was huge and clean. The view was amazing, we could hear the waves. The room was quite at night. I really recommend this property for 2 nights.

The music from the bar during the day can be a bit loud which can bother if you want to take a nap. They have limited sun beds which means you need to wake up early to get one. The sand and the waves at the beach are quite rough. You need to pay extra for soft drinks for breakfast or dinner. The hotel is a bit isolated.

Room was nice and spacious, loved the bathroom and dressing room together which meant that the room wasn't full of clutter. Food in the restaurant was good as was the service. Pool was very pleasant and it was good to be able to sit out on the beach.

Wasn't very happy that we were stopped one morning whilst taking 4 towels to the beach, the towels were counted in and back which we thought was rather unnecessary especially guests of a certain nationality were allowed to vape and, on occasion, to smoke in the outside area of the restaurant. Management should also impose the dress code in the restaurant as guests seemed happy to present themselves bare-chested and in swimming trunks at dinner - not really the type of image a 5 star hotel should want to promote.

It was a heaven , all rooms have good beach view with swimming pool, excellent swimming pool, very yummy food in buffet , staffs are very friendly and helpful and polite , the room service was outstanding, we order any food from anywhere in the resort they bring it to us. Can’t wait to go there again, really wanted to go there

The room lighting system, first we have to turn on the master switch then turn on the other switches one by one , quite complicated light switching systems

Food was tasty but without many variaties, same menu everyday.

I was living in the 7th floor and at midnight i saw a lizard on the wall. had to call the HK to come and get it out of the room. My wife was terrified andf couldnt sleep... we were hearing her nopise all our 5 days stays, but it appeared for us at the last night. seems that she was living with us in the same room for our dutration.
