Food was excellent. the room was great

Night auditors attitude. Was not very accommodating. I was trying to get a 2nd room but the night auditor was not willing to accommodate us said the rate would be almost the same as what we are paying for 2 nights. said at 2am the room was not ready even if we willing to pay. As a hotelier I would try to accommodate our guest the best we can and sell another room if possible, especially at that hour. That room will not be ever sold again for any rate! Was very disappointed that we had to go stay somewhere else for that night.

Room was very comfortable, communal areas were vast and airy, wide choice of food at both breakfast and dinner, deluxe pool was quiet and direct access to the beach.

Couldn't get used to the bathroom, I understand the idea but the "outside" bathroom was awkward to get used to. Didn't like that at check-out the reception had to call housekeeping to check mini-bar consumption despite me having handed over the chit and the concierge wouldn't let me leave with my driver until he'd checked with reception that I'd paid, all very unnecessary.

Had a fantastic two-night stay at Cinnamon Bay Beruwala with my family and absolutely loved it! Right off the bat, the porters were incredibly friendly and efficient with our luggage. The check-in process was smooth and quick, although they didn't accept American Express. No biggie, though; I had other cards. The 3 Superior rooms we booked were super spacious, with all the listed amenities on booking.com. Happy with that! We also opted for rooms with breakfast included, served at the "Büfe" restaurant. The spread was packed with various delicious Sri Lankan dishes and didn't repeat over the days. One thing, though, the place had quite a few flies and some cats wandering around, which might bother some. For lunch and dinner, we decided to dine at Büfe as well, and we were pleasantly surprised by the affordability (keep in mind, I'm comparing it to Swiss prices!). For five adults, our total for one lunch and two dinner buffets came to around CHF 300. Great value! In-room dining service available 24/7 via phone was a plus. Orders were delivered from their Ice Restaurant, which you could also visit. There's a designated smoking area, and I noticed folks respected this, making it comfortable for everyone else. They also had a beautiful swimming pool and a separate kids' pool with a play area - a bonus for families like us. Kudos to the housekeeping, reception, and porter staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay! The beach, directly accessible from the hotel, was mostly clean, though a bit rocky, and had some glass pieces. Just be a bit cautious with kids. Our stay started with a welcome drink - a lovely gesture that set the tone for our fantastic stay. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Another beautiful hotel of Cinnamon Hotels group. It's accommodation spreads over two wings. Has a separate pool for guests who stay in deluxe category or above rooms. Delightful room with a very good bathroom and a separate toilet. Nice lighting setup. Room had a direct access to the pool. But the noice was a bit loud in the pool so changed to another room on second day. Nathalee has organised this for us and special thanks for her. The housekeeping service was excellent. Room service meals were delicious. Breakfast was a massive buffet at 'Bufe' restaurant. Multiple dishes to select from different meal types. Special thank for 'Yasindu' a waiter from the restaurant who is doing a great job.

There is a special massage for the management "can you please organize private/occasional parties at the ballroom or any other sound proof room rather using the previous sea food restaurant as the noice was too much and a lot annoying for the guests".

The service was excellent! The staff were all incredibly helpful and really great with our kids. We loved having a room right next to the Deluxe Pool, which was mostly empty even though it was a busy weekend. The food was amazing, and we especially liked that there was also a lot of authentic Sri Lankan food. Lots of big hotels are so "Westernised" that they would not offer much Sri Lankan food, but here the choice was great!

The bed was unfortunately really uncomfortable. We had two single beds put together to form a king size. Not only had our toddler to sleep "between" beds, they were also really hard. Otherwise the room was great, but we did not sleep well. And for an otherwise extremely child-friendly hotel, the meal times were a bit late... Our kids got up at six, so we would have appreciated breakfast at seven. And dinner at 7pm was very late for them, it would have been nice to have been able to start at 6pm.

Property was beautiful itself and location with access to the beach was great. Staff were exemplary. Everyone went out if there way too assist us with every inquiry and request. Highly recommend Cinnamon Bey Beruwala and what live yo visit again.

The only thing I would fault was meal option was limited to buffet for breakfast and dinner. Buffet options were great and very tasty. But it would of been nice to have another option for one or two dinners.

Superb breakfast and the hotel staff were amazing and they were so welcoming. The receptionist even upgraded our room to a beach chalet free of charge. This was a surprise and we loved that chalet room right next to the sea. Love the shower room without a roof. Very unusual. We only stayed one night en-route to Passikuda. We wish we stayed in Trinco BLu a little longer/few more days. Definitely will come back.

The hotel was lovely and open. The pool was amazing. The private beach and sea was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly, including the house-keeping boys. In particular Sampath, the activities co-ordinator was wonderful, professional and welcoming to all. He was always engaging, polite and provided us all with fun games, aqua aerobics and many different activities. Roland the yoga teacher was also great - professional and accommodating to all, even when guests were turning up late. All the food we ate there was fabulous, as were the drinks. We particularly liked the breakfat and evening buffets (we were half- board) and our cooking demonstration at 800 degrees, which was fabulous, thanks again to all the chefs! The entertainment was limited but we enjoyed the Fire Limbo very much and the local band too.

Some areas were in need of more tlc/investment- such as the far grounds by the volleyball pitch, the table tennis table and loose paving around the pool. Also the poolside bathroom needs to be cleaned more than 3x per day. The small gym could do with proper air conditioning and more regular cleaning also...

The Hotel is well designed with open spaces overlooking the ocean. The rooms were very comfortable and met all our needs. We had all our meals at the hotel and the food was delicious with a large range to select from. In the evening the hotel had and fire dance performance in the open varendah space in front of the pool, which was truly breathtaking!

Everything was perfect, I.booked two rooms, and the team has upgraded my rooms to executive suites as welcome for my second visit. The resort is the best in Bentota, great and professional SPA, helpful team, amazing breakfast and dinner buffet. All team were helpful, starting from the welcoming team and last min. In hotel.

If they can increase Halal food for Muslims.
