Hotel Rural La Paloma

Breakfast was excellent. The pool was large. Our room was very rural but relatively large facing the garden. On Monday when we arrived the restaurant wasn't open but we bought some food at the supermarket and the owners laid a table for us on the terrace so we could have dinner. We were able to purchase some beer and wine too. A very kind gesture as the bar and restaurant were closed. Dinner in the restaurant on Tuesday was excellent

The hotel is nearer to the road than I thought. It was a bit disturbing

Lovely, charming place with familiar atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Even though the hotel is located right next to a road, it's a really quiet place, especially at night. The rooms are rather simple yet cozy and well suited to the character of the building. The choice at breakfast is a little limited, but of high quality and excellent value for money plus the breakfast room and terrace are beautyfully facing the gardens. Dinner was very good as well and the garden invites you to relax as well.

As mentioned before the walls are pretty thin, so you do hear noise from some neighbouring rooms, but during our stay everyone was well-behaved and quiet at nighttime.

We just love this hotel. It is quiet, relaxing, peaceful, the perfect place have a chilled out holiday. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities that you would need. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and has a fantastic, large pool area. If you choose to have breakfast there is plenty of choice to suit all and the hotel restaurant serves the most beautiful food as ever. Andreas, Jackomo and all the staff at the hotel do everything they can to ensure guests have the most perfect stay. We look forward to our return.

The staff were very welcoming, the parking for free in the grounds, a good bowl of pasta in the restaurant for dinner, the possibility of a glass of wine on the terrace. Whilst the hotel is next to a road, the view from my bedroom and the restaurant terrace was countryside; it was quiet and i slept well. The pool was closed (5 Oct) but I noticed a pool towel and sunbed cushion in the wardrobe - nice touch.

The bedside lampshades were cracked and ruined - it gave a bad impression. Not the hotel's fault as it states the pool is seasonal but Booking.com is saying it is open and this could be a disappointment for some.

Welcoming host accommodated our early hours check in and made it easy for us. Fantastic food at the restaurant all home made and super tasty. Drinks were also great value and of good quality. Relaxing atmosphere around the pool!

A member of our group arranged a taxi well in advance through the hotel to our wedding down the road, there and back which was extortionate! Can't believe the price we paid was the going rate, feel like the hotel holds some responsibility for this if the one involved in organising.

We love visiting this hotel as it’s in a beautifully quiet location, perfect for relaxing. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good facilities. The staff at the hotel always go out of their way to make us feel welcome and the restaurant serves the loveliest food alongside impeccable service. Finally the pool area is a great size and rarely are there ever more than two or three other guests using it. This is why we return again and again.

Having to go home.

The staff were very professional, pleasant and efficient. We really liked the guest sitting area near the restaurant with the fire going and the terrace at the front with the pretty resident cats entertaining us. It was a lovely place to relax in the evening. We had some decent food in the restaurant including a few nice vegetarian pasta options. It’s a really well priced hotel so rooms are quite basic but have everything you need and include a plentiful buffet at breakfast. We were at the back of the hotel so we had a nice rural view and it was quiet. Great place if you’re travelling with a car - easy and ample free parking.

Everything was excellent for the price. I would say that the towels were pretty rough. Bedding is old school - sheets and blankets rather than duvets which some people might not like I guess. Definitely a place where you need a car.

Very helpful and comforting owners that run the hotel & restaurant themselves. Both spoke English very well. Place is in really good shape, rooms are nice and have their own A/C. Restaurant was superb and had a varied menu that changes over time - with loads of vegetarian options! Breakfast was also great, lots of variety (fruits, cereal, cheese, ham, bread, jams, honey) and good coffee.

Nothing I can think off.

It was in a beautiful location. Tranquil and calm. The grounds were so natural. Most of all the owners were the most helpful people from the minute we arrived. They just couldn’t do enough. Our car had broken down and they were on it straight away. Such service and kindness blew us away.

Small hotel situated in a lovely rural setting. Small but adequate rooms ideal for our two night stay. Lovely outside areas with pool at the rear. Restaurant and bar on site which was very nice. We enjoyed dinner on our second night and the food was excellent. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of fresh produce. I would certainly recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Maybe a kettle with tea/coffee would have been a bonus for the room.
