The hotel was beautiful. The staff really friendly. Plenty of choice at breakfast. The food was gorgeous.

The rooms are not sound proof. We were over the resturant and kitchen so as soon as the fan was switched on early In the morning it woke us up. And we could hear noise from the resturant until late. The hotel is not actually in saunces but in cortiguera on the outskits of Saunces so its a half hour walk into town to shops and resturants and an hours walk down to the beach down quiet steep hills. Not what I expected when it advertised as saunces

This is a find ... a little off the beaten track but a pot of gold at the end (you have to be on the ball for the turning to the village)! This gives you a taste of a real Spanish "fonda" (accommodation). You are at home straight away and not in a chrome and plastic hotel. Breakfast was buffet-style and great selection. They do evening meals but we had to pass on this as we had eaten before arrival. Bar has a great selection of wines and usual beers and spirits at very reasonable prices ... Thirty minute drive to ferry so a great stopover. Will certainly be using this again.

It’s a really nice hotel, warm and welcoming. The food is great, and the pool is still open in September- hard to find in Spain. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s only a five minute drive to Suances playa, and some breathtaking coastal coves and bays nearby. We have stayed here three times now and definitely recommend it.

Hotel was lovely as have visited many times previously, not as many English as they used to have visit.

Emailed ahead and stated we were staying due to it being out honeymoon and could we please have one of the rooms with the little balcony’s sadly nothing received.

The property was very quaint, tastefully decorated and welcoming. The staff were very friendly, especially the duty manager who greatly assisted us when we had a problem with obtaining our covid travel tests and documentation. The food was excellent, especially the evening meal which was good value for money and very enjoyable, the waitress was lovely and friendly. Also we travel with our dog and she was made very welcome.

Quiet location. Beautiful gardens and pool area. Very close to some stunning scenery. Traditional Spanish styles. Very doggy friendly. Plenty of parking.

Hot food on cold plates is a big no no. Starters not even fully defrosted. A few cobwebs about.

The fourth bed is highly uncomfortable. Springs in the mattress are spiking and are hurting so much you can't stay more than a couple minutes. I tried it after my 7 years old started crying after lying down.

Superb hotel, in fact we stayed 2 nights to chill after ferry from UK. We have been here before ... it has real Spanish ambience.

First time go there the route can be a bit daunting. Listen to sat/nav and take your time.

The Manager was very helpful with local information.And the receptionist from santander was great as we needed to print of our covid results we had done in santander so she let us use one of her lab tops to go on the internet to print them off,because she was so helpfull i gave her a bottle of red wine to say thank you.

lovely cosy hotel, loads of character, staff great, food good. We stayed there for one night before we caught the ferry at Santander. But we’re definitely going back to stay for longer. Great value for money.
