Hotel Bed4U Santander

The location was excellent for the Ferry port which is why we chose this hotel for 1 night, and because it had safe easy parking. The staff were helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast. It was clean and comfortable with emergency toothbrush kit and shaving kits which were handy if you had forgotten to pack these items. There were supermarkets and other small shops a short walk away.

We were expecting to be able to access Netflix/Prime on the SmartTV but it wasn't available and no English channels on TV. Would have liked to have a small minibar fridge in our spacious level 3 room, and Tea/Coffee making facilities but not a big problem for a single night.

My third stay here in three months. What stands out head and shoulders above everywhere else is the staff. Every member is warm, kind, welcoming, helpful, cooperative…. I think maybe the chain could sell its staff training programme and make more money than they do as hoteliers! Exquisite people. On top of that? Beautiful rooms, comfortable and really tasteful, perfect location for walking into the city, the port, the airport. The breakfast is superb. The underground parking is a real bonus for a biker and they are kind enough to let me leave my bike there until later when I need to catch the ferry. I can’t compliment this hotel enough.

All the other places I have stayed in my ten week trip around Iberia have just felt a little disappointing after this! 😂

Breakfast had lots of choices & good value. Location: on the edge of industrial neighborhood & the port, but you can see that it is starting to change. Surrounded by roads & train track, it is surprisingly quiet. Did not like having to walk 25 minutes just to get “somewhere.” Staff could be better trained about how to use public transit & flier they give you could have more detail. Buses 1,2, 12 & 19 all come relatively close as does the train from Santander station. Schedules would be handy to have at reception. It is a lovely property with a lot of thought put into design & detail. Very comfortable and a great concept.

Location is strange. Access to hotel via pedestrian tunnel is awkward & a little uncomfortable at night as a single woman. Having to walk through the park at night feels a bit unsecured. That is the only drawback to this property. During the day, park is quite nice.

I commend the staff at the front desk who always have a ready smile for us, in particular, the lady at the front desk who adjusted the room temperature for us each night. It’s a superb modern hotel which deserves more recognition among the best affordable hotels out there. I’d come back and stay again if I’m back in Santander and will hopefully stay longer to dine at the restaurant. Thank you to the wonderful staff who gave us a 2-bedroom room. The layout of the room was very well-designed and spacious! We didn’t want to leave.

Lovely modern hotel only recently built. Open plan reception, bar and breakfast/cafe area. I was upgraded to room 310 on the top floor. This room has a roof balcony which wraps around the corner of the building looking out towards the port area giving great panoramic views. Not sure what it would be like on the inner rooms though. Room 310 has an interesting but quirky layout. I loved it. Most important are the friendly staff, always happy to help. If you love modern clean hotels you will like this place

Nothing really to dislike here. It's a bit out of town and a walk down from Santander's train station but if you have your own transport there should be no problem. During my stay there was plenty of parking on the hotel premises. Bikers might even find a bit of covered parking in the front if lucky. One other thing to mention is the railway line is just on the northern boundary with a small station. You can hear the trains now and again but they are all electric so not really a disturbance.

The room was very clean and had everything you require for a short stay.We stayed for just one night so we were close to the ferry terminal so for this reason the location was perfect,however to see anything of Santander it's a good walk or short taxi ride.The breakfast was good but not brilliant,the eggs bacon etc were cool but there is a microwave.The selection of continental breakfast was quite good too,with plenty of variations to drink.The staff(all the staff,were first class)very friendly and accommodating as with enquiry's regarding Santander etc taxis etc etc .As for value for money ,I did look at this hotel on different nights when there was no ferry the following day and the rooms were much cheaper,so I guess it's priced accordingly,but overall I would recommend this hotel for a short stay and will consider again next year.Also free parking which is an absolute rarity in hotels .

Immaculate, beautiful room, really comfy. Soundproofing from the busy city outside was amazing. The staff are some of the best, most helpful and most kind I have ever experienced, and absolute credit to the hotel. Breakfast was superb. I'm a lone traveller on a motorcycle so it was a huge relief to be able to leave my bike in the secure underground parking area. I even felt comfortable enough to leave most of my luggage on it! Location is great for exploring the city and access to/from the ferry port couldn't be better.

I honestly cannot think of anything that could have been improved.

Super nice rooms, professional staff, imagine I come at 2 am at night and there are no parking places left so Mr Fredo from the reception jumps into my car and we drive to the closest neighbourhood where he finds nice and safe/free parking spot we park and walk back to the hotel, quite an impressive level of service and attitude I would say! Just to mention that reception is taken care of by another guy why we search for parking, so it is still ready to serve the clients 24/7! Everything is new in a hotel, so enjoy it while it is fresh!

A new hotel, clean and modern. A bit difficult to find, but relatively easy access when you do find it. It has a Nice Bar but unfortunately with a limited supply of bottle beers only and both of which did not come up to the required standard; Not cold enough. Breakfast is noteworthy, with a wide variety of fair on offer.

The Air Conditioning was centrally controlled and set at 25C Unfortunately, when the sun got up the A/C didn’t function. With no natural ventilation this became a problem. Then with the Cruz Campo bottled beer on offer, not cold enough, is not to be recommended Heineken was on offer but only the Dutch enjoy this offering.

I liked everything about this place - Honestly, value for money and beyond. The staff were AMAZING. The bed was extremely comfy, the room was quiet, the bathroom was lovely, the place was spotless, the location was so convenient for getting the ferry, the breakfast was amazing. I wish we hadn't just been passing through and could've stayed for a week, it was so calm and lovely. Parking was great. I can't say enough good things about this place!!

There was a slight problem with the water not getting very hot in our room but the staff were willing to move us immediately, however we'd unpacked already so they gave us keys to another room nearby to use the facilities, and immediately called maintenance to check, they couldn't have been more helpful, and we never felt like we were being a pain and if we'd not been lazy we would've just changed room. Brilliant service.
