Hotel Alcántara

The hotel is right in the middle of the historic centre of Seville, for example the must see attraction of Real Alcazar is just 5 mins walking distance. The staff is very friendly, competent and helpful. The room I did get was small but clean, quiet and had everything I needed, the bed was very comfortable too. In the lobby you can get coffee, tea and water for free. Breakfast is typical continental with spanish cold cuts, cheese, eggs, bread, fruits etc. Overall I had a great stay and I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore the city of Seville!!!

Nothing to complain

It's a two star hotel but they gave me five star service. I was initially offered a room on the ground floor, I declined because I'd read reviews that said the ground floor was really noisy. I was offered a second floor room (a triple) for the same price, which I accepted. This room was quiet and comfortable. But the staff knocked it out of the park when, after I complained about the spotty WiFi, I was given my own router. I basically had my own internet for my stay! I was so surprised and impressed they did this. I've checked out but I've left my bags with them for pretty much 12 hours. The staff are friendly, accommodating and helpful. It's not the fanciest or most luxurious hotel, but it's comfortable and I felt good staying there. The breakfast buffet has fruit, yogurts, orange juice, pastries, boiled eggs, spreads, different breads and rolls, cold cuts and cheese. I think it offers good value at €8.50. The heating in the room was working nicely and it was quiet. The furniture was comfortable and in reasonable condition. The location is ace. Around seven minutes to the cathedral, the same to the Real Alcazar, and around 15 minutes to Las Setas de Sevilla. I would stay here again.

The coffee machine needs updating. You basically have three options: hot water, chocolate and espresso.

Excellent central position and a short level stroll to most of the attractions. A good selection of continental breakfast options and the toaster was brilliant. Hot drinks were available without charge throughout the day / night other than at breakfast for those who opted to not have a breakfast. Guests had use of the microwave and as the hotel didn’t offer any other dining, they were happy for food to be brought in. All the staff were very friendly & helpful and they made you feel at home. We will certainly use this hotel again if we visit Seville. As a footnote: We drove and parked at the airport then took the bus to San Sebastián which is a steady 15 minute walk from the hotel. This was far simpler and cheaper than using one of the city centre car parks.

Excellent location to walk all around the tourist parts of the city, it was clean and comfy enough for just me. Staff really nice and helpful and good quality shampoo, conditioner, showergel.

Tea/coffee only in reception area, it was sadly acolder night I was there and heating was difficult to operate but in usual temperatures, this wouldn't be an issue.

This hotel is in a perfect location for those interested in the historic centre. I'm an older woman and travel solo so always feel secure here. The pedestrian lanes between the hotel and the Cathedral are full of little stores for the tourist which are open fairly late. There are dozens of restaurants within a couple of blocks. The staff are always helpful and pleasant and I love that there's flamenco onsite every night. Others who want to sleep early might not appreciate that however as it can be heard from the rooms. Everything is clean and works well in the hotel and it's a very quiet area once the flamenco stops. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and coffee and tea are available all day. It feels like a home away from home. I Love it here!

Location, staff, cleanliness were great. Very good value for money, it didn't feel like a two-star hotel at all. I've seen comments about live music playing, no such thing in my stay.

The AC is centralized, which gives the guest less control over it but is much more energy efficient, which is good for the environment. It was still a bit too cold at times, but there were extra blankets so it wasn't really an issue. The breakfast was too pricey, which is why I didn't pay for it. You can get much cheaper food in cafés nearby.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is just amazing and super convinient because it is walking-distance to most of the tourist spots and restaurants. The room is clean and has everything I need.

The only thing that disturbed me a bit is that the sound insulation is not very good, which means you can easily hear your neighbours talking, opening and closing their doors. But it can also be a problem of luck. If you get silent neighbours, you might not have this problem. But it didn't happen while I was sleeping. I understand that the staff probably cannot do much for this, so this is not a complaint but just a notice for other travellers to know, especially those who are very sensitive to noise or light sleeper.

The hotel was right in the center of the city and most of the main attractions were in walking distance. The hotel/ rooms were very clean initially and were cleaned everyday after. The property is right next to a flamenco performance house. The staff were so friendly and helpful and go beyond for their guests.

The breakfast could have included more hot food e.g eggs etc and other varieties of options

Very Good location, right in the center of old Sevilha really near to all the attractions. The staff was super nice and really helpful. The room and all the hotel is super clean, and the room was very cool because of the AC, which is a must in a city like Sevilha. There is a Flamenco Show in the old part of the building with a very tempting price for guests. The parking is very near, about 150m from the hotel, and there are a lot of options to eat in the surroundings.
