Hotel was very pleasant like a little retreat, quite and so easy to kick back and relax. Most of the staff were friendly especially the pool bar staff, however the Reception staff not so much, check-in so slow. Meal times are not good 1pm to 4pm for lunch, not even a sandwich available after that. Evening meal starts at 8:30pm to 11pm. Menu same for both. I personally did not like the area but that’s not the hotel’s fault, having said that we had some lovely meals at the Port and it was a very busy time of year. Port much nicer at night time.

The property is beautifully presented and has a real ZEN tranquil feel throughout. The staff are polite and very helpful. Our room was lovely (Delux Double on the 4th floor) with a great panoramic view out to the sea. We were slightly disappointed to find that the main restaurant was not open but the hotel was quiet (still off season).

The location was a bit of a problem for us as my husband had an injured ankle and the walk up/down to the town was an issue for him as it was a steep incline, but this issue only reflects our personal circumstances, and it was in no way detrimental to our stay, as overall we loved the hotel and will definitely return in the future.

The location is excellent, with sea and Mountain View’s. (we paid €4 extra for a sea view). The views were stunning, the hotel was exceptionally clean the staff were friendly and no fuss on check in. The double bed is is a fantastic size, it’s huge and so comfortable. Free parking in the streets around the hotel.

The aircon never cooled the room and we couldn’t leave the balcony door open because of the mosquitoes. The hotel is on a hill whereas you wouldn’t manage if you have walking difficulties. But if you have a car there is no problem.

We have stayed here many times before when La Cumbre. Rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard, very comfortable bed and facilities. Location is good with great views across Mazarron. 10 minute walk to beach. Staff were all helpful and friendly. We will stay again.

The food on the hotplate needs to be covered as eggs were cold and not much variety for the cost. The cleaning staff arrived at 6.15 in the evening to clean the room, rooms should all be cleaned before 2pm. Although coffee and tea was provided in the room there was no milk.

My husband and I really liked the hotel, the premises, the decor. Our suite was very spacious, with excellent views of the coast. The pool has different types of lounge chairs. Plenty for everyone. The gardens are very pretty and also enjoy views of the coast. Loved the place and highly recommend it.

The garage wasn’t available (it’s being refurbished?). Also although a minor inconvenience, our room was on the third floor but not on the same level as the elevator so you have to carry your (heavy) luggage down/up 5-6 steps! There needs to be a ramp installed. Not everyone is young and fit to do this type of lifting. The hotel is up on the hill, so if you’re looking for a short walk to the beach, this isn’t the hotel for you.

Had double room with excellent views of the sea. The bed was huge, very high but very comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Good to have mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities but no cups or milk!!

For some reason we were given a room with adjoining room. The door was locked but we could hear the people talking in the next room. .we knew hotel was on a hill but it is very very steep. We could park everywhere easily in November but in summer everywhere gets very busy for parking and the walk could be very dificult for some people.

Stayed for one night, having previously stayed prior to the renovation. Reception and bar staff were really welcoming and helpful. The room was modern and very clean, the positioning of the hotel gives lovely sea views. The hairdryer in the bathroom was good quality/powerful. There was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel & body lotion in the bathroom, smelt really nice, and option to request things you may have forgotten, toothbrush/razor etc. There were only teabags in the room and no milk, I prefer coffee, but I didn’t contact reception so it would have probably been easily resolved. Lots of sun beds available & a good variety… some really comfy day beds. Pool towels are available from reception/the bar. We’re in our early 40’s and didn’t find the walking up the hill to the hotel an issue. We will definitely return and recommend.

We returned to see the changes to 'La Cumbre' to discover the Ramada Hotel with lots of changes. Rooms all refurbished to a high standard. New style bathrooms (no bath) a big walk in shower. High water pressure. Hair dryer. Room with a big bed and new wardrobe / unit with Tea-coffee maker (kettle) a safe - fridge and Iron with board. Internet much better. Staff still very nice and helpful. Upon our arrival we were invited to the opening night and had a wonderful evening. Lots of canapes and drinks. Thank you Ramada.

A small note.. Cups and milk are required in the rooms with the Coffee/Tea maker. The Lift needs signs as to which floor is reception and which is the pool/bar etc.

we have stayed at this hotel for the last 17 years. Since it’s rebranded as Ramada we expected lots of changes. However, it has retained much of its original charm while updating its rooms. Restaurant and bar food very good and reasonably priced.

We found the breakfast was poor. Good choice but ‘hot’ food was consistently cold or luke warm at best. One, slow coffee machine to service up to 60 breakfast customers, not good.
