Hotel Santa Marta

The place is probably the best on the Costa Brava coast, the nature is totally preserved around which is unique, no buildings nor villa around, no one at night, beautiful spa, beach, swimming pool, restaurant on the beach, culinaire restaurant at the hotel, all looking on the sea, and what made our stay extraordinary is the professionalism and the kindness of the staff. i travel every week for business, Europe, America and Africa. This place is incredible. All the staff without exception is first class, natural, smiling, caring, .... No wonder all the people you meet come here regularly for many years (one person came since ....1979 !). A hidden gem you can rely on

Everything about this room was exceptional. The bed, the bathroom, the deck, all the amenities. It was more luxurious than I expected. Not to mention the bottle of Cava and delicious cookies for our 30th Anniversary! Courteous 5 star staff! We enjoyed the private beach and the water treatment at the Spa. And a romantic and delicious dinner at 58. And the view from our Ocean front room? Like a scene from movie. Breathtaking. This hotel was the perfect ending to our Spain trip!

A few minor issues.. I loved sitting out on the deck but we were next to a chain smoker...so it was like we were chain smoking too. Bummer but we understand it's a different culture. Also couldn't seem to work the air conditioner. Would.it be possible to have luggage racks? And this is something we noticed through Spain..no washcloths! Would have loved washcloths!

Great views and direct access to a nice sandy beach, top hotel facilities (large pool, SPA, massage, tennis, table tennis, SUP, Yoga...), excellent room (we had a superior room with sea view), very helpful reception team, good breakfast buffet;

The neighbourhoods north and south of the bay (Lloret de Mar, Blanes) are not among the nicest villages along the Costa Brava, so if you like to do walks or bike tours directly from the hotel there's not much choice. The hotel's beach restaurant has a superbe location and the food is good, but the service has some room for improvement.

Super friendly service in all aspects, super clean and overall nice atmosphere. Nice rooms and spa area.

If there was more advice/ more options given for activities outside of the hotel that would be amazing. I wasn’t really prepared to walk 300 steps down the hill to get to the sea and then back up the hill, but it certainly made life more interesting. It does have some charm to it! If there were more options to eat, that would be good. The food was alright.

The food is excellent, the staff is trying to make you feel special. The location is superb but is not for less-mobile people. The beds are great. The breakfast is also superb.

It is a pretty old building 50's with some renovation from around 2000. There is not many historic details preserved. We were in the adjacent building. The shower has little water and the tap of the sink was loose. The price of food and drinks is very high. Regrettably the last day before we left we did not get any free water or toilet items anymore.

Fantastic sweeping views of the coast, every detail throughout the hotel thought through from arrival goodies and water to decor to room details. We loved the beachside chairs and pool deck, breakfast at the hotel was fantastic and the bed and room were very comfortable

The internet was slow at times.

The location of the hotel is outstanding and the coastal views are just perfect. The staff were all brilliant, very accommodating and helpful. We loved our room with the stunning view and spacious balcony, the cocktails were absolutely delicious and the food was lovely. The hotel interior is beautifully decorated, creating a quiet and warm space. We can't wait to return soon.

Superb staff. Still remember the lovely smile of the young lady on reception. Friendly but totally professional. Wonderful location. Beautiful spacious lounges and bar area. Breakfast outside on the terrace.

Great expectations for the restaurant but after the starters which were exceptionally good the main courses were disappointing. Perhaps a fuller description of what to expect with each dish would help. I was surprised for instance that my beautiful piece of fresh brill had been dismembered and fried. OK it was Mexican inspired but I was not expecting brill in batter with rather too much mayonnaise. In the hotel's defence they were extremely apologetic about my disappointment and will I'm sure make changes so that future guests know exactly what to expect.

Beautiful hotel, lovely and really helpful and attentive staff. The room was nice and spacious and great location between the lively Lloret de Mar and the pretty Blanes. The beach is superb and a few other restaurant options in addition to the fantastic restaurants on site.

There could be more activities put on.

Fabulous hotel. After visiting various other along the Mediterranean Spanish coast playa Santa Cristina has captivated us. We are so happy with everything that have ended up extending our holidays Highly recommended!!!

Positive comments would like to have an ironing board and boiling water kettle in the rooms. We asked at the reception and got it straight away though.
