Casa Bombo

The location of Casa Bombo is phenomenal. We could see the amazing Alhambra from our room and from all the public terraces. It was stunning. The food you could order was super yummy. Nothing beats drinking una copa de vino and looking out on the Albaicin at Casa Bombo!

We had a fantastic time at Casa Bombo and stayed in the room that had a beautiful view of the Alhambra from the bed and the private terrace. It was beautiful! Casa is run by some utterly delightful young women who work really hard to make sure everything is as lovely as it is. They gave us detailed instructions to reach them (Albaicin is pedestrian) and it was extremely helpful to have their advice on getting around the city. Breakfast was lovely, especially as we could eat on our terrace with the most amazing view! We cannot recommend CB highly enough it was a lovely hotel in the perfect location and again - the view, for everyone staying at Casa from the beautiful terrace - we don't think could be beaten!

There is in our opinion nothing not to like. If you do your research you know exactly what you are getting staying in the Albaicin I don't think you could stay anywhere more charming or beautiful. Even with the 40 degree weather we loved every minute of our time in Granada and the hotel was the icing on the cake!

Everything! The booking was seamless and when we arrived in Granada we were picked up by Andrea (I think one of the owners) using his minivan for 20 EUR extra. He was an excellent driver because the streets in Albaicin were so small that you only had a few inches from the side mirrors. But the ride was a thrill, like riding a roller coaster, in a good way! I was so excited :) If you don’t read maps or are not familiar with the maze of Albaicin, it’s recommended to be picked up. The casa was very homey and they were making lots of improvement. It shows how they care about servicing their clients. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was generous and quite delicious. But the best thing was the view!! You got an uninterrupted view of the Alhambra. From the dining area and from the room. It’s just unbelievable. The area was so special that it was so hard for us to say goodbye. Thank you Casa Bombo team for making our trip so memorable!

The master was very friendly, generous and helpful, he and his wife's personalities made staying there more moving one. Thank you very much, Andrea! Map and guidance given from him at arrival was really useful during all stay. Facilities and amenities were almost enough, comfortable and clean. Especially we loved the breakfast seeing Alhambra palace and town of Granada, and we enjoyed small but cozy/sunny poolside.

There're only very very narrow way around there, normal taxi can approach only wide way a little distant from the hotel. And the hotel is on middle of steep hilI(Albaicín area), I recommend you to ask the master welcome at station by hotel's minivan. I think this hotel match to people in physically fine. This isn't bad point because BY IT you really can experience these historical areas, but pay attention! I wondered if there would be more beach chairs fit to guests number :>

This small hotel is a perfect base for exploring Granada, located in the middle of Albaicin and with walking distance to Sacromonte, Alhambra and the citycenter. Our room was a nice little "tower" with three floors and a private roof terrace. The view from the terrace's daybed must be number one in Granada: From here you see all of Alhambra and the rooftops of Albaicin, most of the citycenter and parts of the Sierra Nevada. If you ever go to Granada, make sure you have made a reservation in this room! The staff made us feel really welcome through their friendly and personal service. They also showed detailed knowledge about the city and what to see and explore. Thank you for a perfect stay in Granada!

Very clean with an amazing view of the Alhambra from the terrace. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming providing many suggestions of things to do. The area is a bit of a labyrinth but we were sent clear guidance of how to get to Casa Bombo. It is a 10 minute walk downhill to the cathedral once you know the way. The guided tour of the Alhambra was excellent. There were very long queues and you avoid all of these. You do need to book well in advance (we booked 3 weeks in advance and had the last time slot on our last day). Security is strict though - you must book ticket in the same name as your passport and the original passport was needed for checking three separate times on the tour.

It is a 10-15 minute walk uphill on cobbled stones (not possible to wheel suitcases) so not easy if you have a lot of luggage.

Lovely small hotel with a perfect view of The Alhambra from the terrace where the charming owners offer drinks and small plates. Excellent breakfast and the chance to meet other interesting guests also visiting Granada. The best feature is the hosts, who go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The beds are great, excellent shower and modern AC, all for a very reasonable price.

It is a bit difficult to get to, especially if you have limited mobility like me. The Albaicín area is hard to drive in and you’ll need to walk a bit to get to the hotel. The owner was kind enough to drive us back to the parking garage as I couldn’t get back on my own. Another example of their hospitality!

All the staff were wonderful! So lovely, friendly, and accommodating. They were also very patient and supportive of our basic-intermediate spanish. Quirky location of hotel in narrow streets of Albiacin was great. Good location with only 5 mins walk down cobblestone streets (often steep!) to the centre. Views from the terrace of La Alhambra were breathtaking, and the terrace itself was very tranquil and comfortable. Room A (our room) was comfortable with a nice bathroom.

Nothing. Only thing worth mentioning is that our room (room A), located on street side, was a little dark, and sometimes noisy if people are talking/shouting outside.

The location being so close to Alhambra was just beautiful. Writing about how good the views are of the Alhambra is just not good enough, you have to witness it to fully appreciate it. Being in the old town area is beautiful. Quite hilly though so a level of good mobility is a must. Carlos our host has to be one the kindest and most delightful humans I have ever met. He was absolutely amazing. Our room had a private roof terrace which I must say is well worth paying extra for. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillow was also superb. We slept so well and despite it being -3 overnight we were so snug. Breakfast was really brilliant and Carlos was excellent catering for our caffeine needs. We had a car and Carlos guided us in really well once we got into the resident's cars only area. It's a tight drive in parts but that's part of the fun. The parking for the property is about a five minute walk away from the hotel however Carlos met us to open the car park gates and offered to carry luggage. He did the same on departure. Granada central is approximately 30 mins steady stroll away alongside the river. It takes about ten minutes down to the river and then 20 minutes into the centre. The room has a brilliant shower. This place is absolutely fantastic, quirky in parts but very rustic in keeping with it's surroundings. Make no mistake though it is a real blessing to stay here. Carlos...thank you for everything.

Everything was perfect

The shared are is very comfortable. the seating area in the lobby felt homey. there was even a guitar to use if wanted (my husband did). The included breakfast offered something for everyone. the view from the deck was stunning! The pool area was an oasis! There was plenty of seating. I spent hours relaxing on a bed under a canopy of green beans. the view of the Alhambra was breathtaking! Carlos was an amazing host! very thoughtful and knowledgeable.

Like most hotels in old Grenada, we had to walk the pedestrian streets to get there. there is parking about 400 meters away which was a challenge for North American drivers to get to). The 600 meter down to center town was beautiful, the 600 meter back up was brutal (but worked off what we ate and drank!) We were a 30 mins walk to the Alhambra which was ok for us as we are in shape. It would be too challenging for anyone with mobility issues.
