Hotel Canal Olímpic

I liked a lot the ppl, very friendly, willing to help, very polite. I felt comfortable and I enjoyed my stay.

What they need to improve, I did also mentioned it to them was the food. They accepted the feedback. That made me happy. I did paid for halb pension. So the first two dinners the food were the same. So I the second day was like I had food from yesterday. That was not ok. BUT I have to say that they did the effort to make sth else for me. Was not corresponding to the price BUT what made me happy was that they did the effort. The last dinner was very good. All in all I am satisfied with the property.

The hotel is in a good location. There is free parking available nearby. It is a good place to stay if you are arriving late to Barcelona - the airport is just a 10-min drive. The street is very quiet and beach is ca 10 min walk. Planes start flying over the hotel rather late - only after 7-8 am (and stop after 10-11 pm), plane noise does not affect sleep quality at all.

The interior is dated. Window in our room was broken and we could not fully close it. It was not a problem in May, but can be a problem in winter. There is no fridge or kettle in the room.

Whilst checking in, the staff member on night duty was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to provide me with certain requests of mine. The decor of the place itself is quite different from your standard hotels, and it was very nice for me personally. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay close to the airport. It might have taken me 10-15 minutes to get to the airport, without any hassle or traffic. The hotel arranged the taxi which was outside my hotel within 5 minutes maximum, given how early it was, and how busy of a tourist season, I was quite happy with this.

Honestly, I didn't stay there long enough to suss out more things. Everything seemed well for the short period of time I was there. It is quite far from the main Barcelona area where most tourists visit although.

The design of the hotel is really unique, nice and friendly atmosphere with 19th century styling. The staff was really friendly, and it was both walking distance from the beach and the center of Casteldefels. We had a really nice big balcony. A taxi trip to Barcelona (Placa Catalunya) takes 20 minutes and costs around 40 €. As the hotels in Barcelona cost significantly higher, this is realistic option if you also want to visit the beach.

The entire hotel needs some refurbishment. Paint is worn, the bed was not really comfortable and the room could be cleaner. All in all, it matched the price of the room.

The room was big enough and clean. The balcony was great too. Everything was clean and the breakfast was okay for the price. Service was also great and everyone was friendly. Pool was big and clean.

There were no umbrellas by the pool, so only sporadic shade could be used. Beds were placed on casters, so it was difficult to leave two single beds next to each other.

I am not very picky, though there was hair around the bath in bathroom left from previous visitors. Was not gone even after first days room service. But other that that, clean enough, and accurate. Ough and obvioisly few not washed good enough coffe cups with brown stains at the breakfest.

The hotel overall was really nice. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, they serve cold Heineken for €2.50 at the bar and the pool was excellent. There is plenty of parking spots around the hotel and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. We felt comfortable leaving our car with our stuff in it (without valuables ofcourse).

The walk to OCP cable park (wakeboarding/waterski) is further than expected; the entrance is all the way on the other side of the canal, forcing you to walk up and down the entire thing (and fences all around). The airconditioning was a little slow and took a long time to cool the room and I think it turns off when you leave the room and remove your keycard. The room was also a little small.

Cery friendly staff, excellent location only few minutes walk from the beach, very clean room and cleaned daily by hotel staff, very good communication on the reception. Amazing quiet neighbourhood

I found no issues to be honest.

Nice place for one night, to sleep after a late flight. Room was big and clean. Hotel is in the nice area of Castelldefels. Train station is nearby.

Nothing about property but the town is very dead after 23h so as a tourist you don’t have an option for eating somewhere when you come.

Staff were nice and very helpful

Very noisy as there is a lot of schools staying for some reason, might only be a summer thing I'm not sure, also a bit dirty but not too bad
