Mas Pere Pau

The breakfast at this hotel was truly exceptional, offering a wide array of delicious and nutritious options. The eggs were cooked to perfection, accompanied by a delightful assortment of fresh, crisp vegetables, and meats. An abundant selection of succulent fruits was available, providing a refreshing and energizing start to the day. The coffee served was rich, aromatic, and invigorating – just what one needs to kick off a fantastic morning. Overall, this hotel's experience is a delightful, very quite place, a lot off green around, great swimming pool, super nice staff. Few words about restaurant where we had few dinners , it was delicious Catalan meals , various every day, highly recommended place.

Lovely room for a family of 3 with a doggie who was able to run around the garden area of this beautifully restored Catalan Masia - he absolutely loved it. The staff were fantastic - our room was cleaned and tidied every day, towels were hung up to dry on a rack and a dog bed was provided for our puppy which we didn't even ask for. We were supplied with a large fresh bottle of water every day and, although the restaurant wasn't open during the days we were staying there (it only opens on Friday and Saturday in the Winter), they offer a lovely menu to guests which changes daily and you can order your evening meal by midday that day. The food was also great - traditional Catalan meals - comforting hearty food (although could do with some extra veggies). We really enjoyed our stay - thank you.

The only thing I would suggest is some green veggies with the main meals or at least a salad option on the menu. I love Catalan and Spanish food but it can get a little bread and meat heavy after a few days.

we loved the experience we got here! it was like being greeted by a friend. we are from a large city and never get to see the stars but at Mas Pere Pau we sat on our patio and got the most amazing view of them. everything was comfortable and quaint and they had everything we asked for (including wine glasses and an opener!) would recommend this location to anyone jn a heartbeat.

this was a very very minor personal peeve I had, but I felt like there was some mold in the bathroom shower area around the floor tiles and the ventilation was sub par and left everything a bit damp for a good while. we were able to remedy this by opening the door and letting the air flows.

Tot está bé! Ens agradat molt aquest lloc! All was great, the atmosphere of the place, nice building, accomodation, room, accesorries, great swiming pool, a great stuff / personal - we have not found anything wrong. A few minutes to the historic Besalu and both Baixa / Alta Garrotxa mountain region - we would fully recommend it for the visitors, who want to stay at one place and to see both historical towns as for example Girona, Besalu, Olot on one side and experience also nice mountains on the other side - Garrotxa, Pireneus.

We did not find anyhing wrong ! OK, should I find something? My famous temperature of the water in the swiming pool is 22°C:-). This one was little bit more warm:-) If I should find something....:-.

clean, quiet, great service and personal touch

The dinner was very basic. We ordered 2 main courses (meat) and a seafood and meat paella. The paella was dry and didnt have seafood only meat. No vegetables which i found a minus. It was served in the reception which didnt add anything on the experience. I would have chosen to dine in the beautiful old dinery/restaurant next door. No music and too much light.

Secluded location. Lovely room with own terrace. Excellent food. Lovely staff. Good centre for visiting local attractions. Great walks from hotel.

Some things lost in translation. Hotel should make it clear dinner is served to guests every evening, just need to request each morning. J

Beautiful property and very welcoming and helpful staff. The apartment we stayed at was cozy and had gorgeous views. The beds and pillows were really comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and it was all clean and new! we had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and really recommend it! everything was delicious! the area is so peaceful and calm and just a short car ride away from Besalú. We had a wonderful stay and will be back in the future!

Very calm and pleasant location, good personal, good size of the room, good breakfast, very clean, great atmosphere.

The bed was not that great, I guess the mattress cover was plastic, quite noise and we had back pain, but we are very sensitive to bed quality. Also, it's a very charming place and hotel but unfortunately we had a room that was lacking charm. I would suggest to check your room decoration before booking it as there are some much more pleasant than others.

Very friendly service and amazing breakfast. The rooms were pristine clean. The team at Mas Pere Pau make you feel like home. It's located in a quiet location 7min away from Besalu by car, perfect for a long weekend.

Everything was excellent.

Fabulous location in an idyllic setting. Warm, friendly staff. Couldn't do enough for us without being intrusive. The restaurant is fantastic value for money with superb food.
