The Cave of Dreams0

The cave is is the only accommodation at the property and is very quiet. It is located on the level above the owners, Clive and Allan, who are on call and very attentive if you require them for anything. The cave is one large room with sleeping and sitting space, a private shower room / toilet in an external separate room off of the large terrace area. The parking was good and is under a covered area. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The terrace has good views and there is plenty of external room for stretching out. There is a very nice rustic restaurant / bar which serves excellent food which is approximately a one minute walk down the driveway. Well worth a visit.

Nothing to dislike except you are most likely to require a car to be able to reach this fantastic accommodation and interesting area which deserves to be explored.

this is exactly the sort of place we love to stay. it was quirky, cosy and very comfortable - considering the blistering heat this summer, the room was still cool enough for a good nights sleep. There are lots of little personal touches around the place and the room was spotless. it is very close the the motorway, just a couple of minutes drive, but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Baza is only a short drive away. Allan gave us directions to their “local” a lovely cave restaurant called Al Jatib where we had a great meal and watched the sunset. we really enjoyed having a chat with Clive over breakfast, it was interesting to hear what they’ve done to the place since they arrived, you can tell how much they love it there. I’ve no doubt we’ll be back at some stage in the future. Hopefully the new bar/restaurant opposite will be up and running by then.

we only stayed for 1 night!!

The hosts were really nice, kind and friendly. They made very tasty breakfast (bread, ham, cheese, coffee, juice, marmalade, yogurt, fruit..) The room was clean and comfortable and chilly in summertime. There is also a beautiful sunset view. It was a really nice experience and definitely will come back for more days.

The cave house was quirky, and certainly very different to places we have stayed before. It was quite isolated but our hosts gave us excellent directions, and we found it without problems. It was well decorated, and a small fridge was provided, which was a nice touch. Breakfast on both mornings of our stay was very good, with different fruits on each day of our stay. Clive & Allan were very informative, and told us of things to do and see in the area. We were given a hand drawn map of an area to visit, with restaurant recommendations. The trip took us all day!

Really, the only downside was the location, but this wouldn’t put us off going again. Thank you Clive & Allan

We’ve spent two weeks in Spain and this was definitely our best accommodation. Allan and Clive are wonderful hosts, very helpful and welcoming. The gave us great advice on what to see and showed us a great restaurant in the area. The room was beautiful, and the fact that it was in a cave made it nice and cool to sleep in, without any AC. The pool is great to relax in. The breakfast in the morning was also great. I can’t think of any complaints I could have, our stay in the Cave of Dreams was perfect. I can’t recommend it enough.

No complaints, it was perfect

My hosts were a delight and originate from the same part of the world as me. The room/cave was exactly as described. A very quiet location and an unique experience.

This is a minor niggle. I was travelling by motorcycle and I found it somewhat tricky to follow the signposts. Guys if you read this please highlight the pointy end of the arrows. Everything else was a complete delight.

Allan and Clive gave us a big welcome. We loved the wonderful large terrace with mountain view. The breakfast was lovely. We only stayed for one night on our way to Alicante but wished we could have stayed longer to explore the area.

Lovely sunny terrace. Cosy in the cave even when freezing outside. Hosts were great and gave us great restaurant recommendation nearby and also a hand drawn map for a wonderful drive including a walk in the stunning village of Catril. Spectacular scenery in the area. Breakfast included with ham, cheese, toast, jam, fresh fruit and orange juice. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing, all good

The welcome, the room, the pool, the view -everything was just fab! Clive, Allen and susie the dog were excellent hosts. Good for solo travellers as they were chatty which is nice if you want some company. But also u have your own deck if you want solitude. I had a lovely stay.

Very friendly hosts. Gave very good advice about excursions and things to see. Good access to the A92N highway and 10 min drive to Baza centre.

Lots of dog hair on shared cussions from the host's friendly dog. Quite some barking from the dogs in the neighbourhood, also at night.
