Shilla Stay Seodaemun

Hotel provides all the facilities inside to be relaxed. Conditions are good, and price is also good. Staff is friendly. Everything is clean.

Location is good, close the KTX train Station, however there is not restaurants nor turistic atractions around, so people should move to another area by bus or subway. Then, I recomend the hotel in case your plan is be outside all day visiting other Seoul areas and go there just to sleep.

It’s located very close to the seodae-mun station. The facility & cleanness are very nice to stay!

The room, hotel ammenities, breakfast and the staff was absolutely what we had hoped it would be and more. Everything exceeded our expectation and the staff at the hotel was exceptional in providing the best in quality service to ensure that our needs and well-being were met. The view from our room window was absolutely amazing, as it oversaw the city then panning out to the mountains in the background. Access to the public transport, local food outlets and restaurants was only a stone throw away from the Shilla Hotel. My wife and I travelled from New Zealand and as NZ born Samoans, we were privileged to experience the beautiful city of Seoul, the culture, the food, the amazing locations and boy did we embrace it all🇰🇷💯We absolutely loved our 7 day/night stay with Shilla Hotel Seodaemun, Seoul and if we were ever to return, hopefully in the near future, Shilla Hotel will be the first place to book our room with. We Highly recommend the above hotel to those in search of a quality place to stay at while venturing the beautiful South Korea. Keep up the amazing work Shilla Hotel. The staff at Shila Stay were amazing, despite the language barrier. They didn't speak a ton of English, but they understood us well enough to help us navigate the district, find an ATM, and getting us a taxi when we checked out. The location could not be more perfect if you are thinking of riding the subway, as the station entrance is just out the door from the hotel.

The room was quite small, bearing in mind that we traveled with 2 medium-sized check-ins and 1 small carry-on luggage, there wasn't a lot of space to open up and organise our clothes, but we made it work somehow. The wardrobe was also quite narrow, and a tight fit for thick clothes.

Check-in was very easy and we were able to leave our things when we arrived early (before check-in). The room was clean and smelled good. The bathroom was well-equipped and had a giant tub. The cleaning employees were also very nice when we asked for extra water. I had to transfer to another room when my friend left, and the change of rooms was also very easy, they called me when my room was ready and they prepared a room on the same floor so it was an easy transfer. Check-out was also fairly fast. The hotel was right beside 2 subway exits so transportation to and from was a breeze. There are a number of coffee shops, small eateries, and convenience stores nearby so every time we needed to get something or were feeling a bit hungry, it was easy to just go down and walk less than 5 mins to get something to eat or drink.

The location of the Hotel is great; It is located next to the exit to the Subway, and there are restaurants, cafes and a 7-11 convenience store nearby. The hotel reception and restaurant staffs were friendly, helpful and can speak English well. What I really liked was that the restaurant closed late, and when we returned from our guided tour late one night around 10 pm, we able to ate late dinner because last order was 10.30 pm. The food was good and tasty.

Our double room with double bed was rather small. But it was fine because we spend the days outside going sight-seeing. The bidet system in the toilet didn't work after 2nd & 3rd day.

- The location is perfect, right at the station. Anyway if you carry a heavy luggage, these exits in front of the hotel don't have an elevator. (You can use it at other exits and cross the road) - There are restaurants (including a breakfast restaurant), coffee shops and convenient stores nearby. - The staff are friendly and communicate well. - High-rise building with good views

- The room is smaller than I expected. It's not convenient to open and lay our travel bags. - There are not many plug sockets, and some of them are loose. - Wish the bidet water pressure would be more adjustable.

Right next to the airport bus stop - perfect for my late night arrival. Bed was comfortable and the shower had an actual stall. Breakfast was good too - buffet style with lots of western options. (Paid extra but easier than going out to find something my first morning) They happily stored my bags in the lobby for most of the day - even allowing me to access them during them being stored. Location was central enough for all the main spots - hongdae, myeongdong, gyeongbokgung palace and insadong with bus and subway stops outside.

The elevator was sometimes a bit slow as I was the high floor.

The hotel is at a great location, right at the exit of a subway station. the building is beautiful and has a supermarket very close. The staff of the hotel is very nice, helpful and professional. The room was beautifully designed and includes all the essentials.

The room layout wasn’t comfortable. The room was narrow and a bit small. Our luggage filled the room and we couldn’t even open them all. In addition, we had to close the cabinet door in order to enter the bathroom. Maybe other rooms are planned differently, but our room was not convenient for a couple.

the bed was super comfortable and location can’t be beat. right at exit 7 of seodaemun station. the gym is serviceable, just lacking a barbell, but i liked that there are tvs and water and towels and sanitizer available there

there’s no vanity mirror or just a regular room mirror at all. the room is small and two people might struggle to share the space. the staff always seem disinterested to engage with guests
