Treetops Guesthouse

Really friendly staff who recommend a great restaurant (The Coachman). The room was comfortable with strong WiFi and lots of nice touches, such as plenty of fresh cold water in the fridge, milk and nice biscuits. It was quiet at night despite being so close to the airport and we got a great night's sleep. In the morning they gave us a shuttle to the airport free of charge! This was especially perfect for us as we had a rental car to return upon arrival. It was a 5 minute walk back to the guesthouse on a very safe road. Incredibly convenient and comfortable!

On June 27th, we finished our 6-day self-drive trip along Garden Avenue and came to Top tree Guesthouse near Port Elizabeth Airport. This is also the last day of our 42-day 6-country tour of Africa, and we will return to China tomorrow. Mr. Steven, the owner, warmly welcomed us and arranged our rooms, which are very clean and comfortable. Also, he introduced the nearby restaurants for us. Especially when we flew at 8:30 the next morning and forgot to tell the boss in advance. But the boss and his wife still got up early to prepare a delicious breakfast for us, and also use his car made three round trips to the airport to send us ten people and our luggage to the terminal on time. Let us fell at home. We were very moved. This is a wonderful hotel.

From booking, we received excellent communication from the owners, who go above & beyond with helpful suggestions & providing great information on the area & surrounding areas. Stephen kindly & promptly collected us from the airport & even took us back the following morning to collect our hire car...all done with a genuine smile. The property felt safe & secure & we slept very well. Lovely to find some milk, water, cookies etc in our room on arrival too. Breakfast was exceptional, with choice of fruit salad, yoghurt, museli, cheese etc...and we thoroughly enjoyed a full English breakfast served to order. Value for money was excellent & we can highly recommend.... In summary, it's those little touches that make ones stay at guesthouses etc special & we found those here.

We recently stayed at this very nice accommodation (very convenient as a stopover for the Garden Route). Stephen, the host, is absolutely fantastic. He's exceptionally friendly, flexible, and has a great sense of humor. He also enjoys helping you plan the rest of your journey and provided us with plenty of valuable tips based on his own experiences (he also compiled these tips in a wonderful guide that he shared with us). We highly recommend this place!

Stephen, the owner, was so lovely, he picked us up, and dropped us off at the airport free of charge. Very kind and friendly service even giving us advice for our onward journey down the garden route. Cannot fault this place at all, no its not luxury but then you're not paying luxury prices. What is on offer is great value for money in a lovely, well equipped guest house. If we are ever in Port Elizabeth again we would certainly stay again.

My parents came down from Cape Town. I made the booking for them. Treetops Guesthouse was top of the list for proximity to airport and reasonably priced. My parents found the property with no problems. The pics provided VS the pics they took are 100% match. "Cozy and homelike. Hosts Liz and Stephen are the sweetest". My mom was overjoyed with the fairy lights in the evening. I am happy that I found you guys. Thank you!

Stephen collected us from the airport and brought us across the road to his magnificent accommodation. Upon arrival, he told us we could have complimentary upgrade since he was so quiet! It was our second time staying at his place as we liked it so much first time round. The upgrade was just as cosy as our first room had been but with even more living space and an incredible private outdoor space with sofas, table, chairs, fountain, braii and fairy lights! It really was such a treat. The next day Stephen even allowed us to have a late check out and lots of expert local recommendations for our few hours exploring the city before our onward flight. We absolutely love everything about this accommodation and will remember it as a highlight of our time in South Africa.

The only thing we would have preferred was another night tucked away from the world in this cosy refuge!

The owners here are so friendly and provide everything you need from complimentary snacks and coffee/tea to excellent tourist advice and personal recommendations. We booked last minute and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room had everything you could think of from microwave, cutlery and dishes to extra blankets and pillows. The beds were so comfortable and the wifi was fantastic. They even had a back up wifi and lights for load shedding! This place really is a model on how to run a hospitality business. They really have thought of everything the weary traveller could need. Would 100% stay again and advise anyone in PE to stay here. You could literally walk to the airport, but no need, as they even provide a free shuttle! Wow x100! So good!

Conveniently located. Staff was very nice and breakfast very good. There are power shortages in the area and we were timely informed. Room had multiple plug sockets and mosquito repelent which was a plus.

Not about the stay, everything was great but for those who are going to PE, please be careful with scams. Tourists are being targeted, someone will approach you and say you need a permit or sg else to get your credit card.1 un

Excellent attention to detail in terms of aesthetics and comfort of guests. Location was perfect. Free wifi, complimentary tea/coffee, milk and biscuits. Microwave and bar fridge. Host was super friendly.

Could not indulge in the breakfast being raved about, by previous guests. Not served during festive period. Only another reason to return .
