Robberg Beach Lodge - Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges

Everything! This was the highlight of our trip to South Africa. The guest house is in a fabulous location- right at the waterfront. We had amazing views of the whales and dolphins each morning at breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner. We ate there twice during our four night stay! The staff here are amazing. They are so friendly and cheerful and go out of their way to help you. Pila checked us in and also served us during our 2 nights in the restaurant. She is such a sweetheart and we really loved having her serve us. Zulu was also such a breath of fresh air and was always smiling! Thank you for an amazing stay in Plett!

The Wi-Fi was a little patchy.

The view was extraordinary, you can't help but stare at the sea from the dinning room for a long long time! Recommend to book with breakfast, the food is good and you can have it in front of the sea. Safe parking, all gated and well lit. All the staff that we interacted with were always very nice and always happy to help - service on breakfast, booked us a table in a local restaurante, tips for the area and everything you can imagine. We know the country suffers with scheduled power cuts, but it was great that the hotel had a generator, so we had eletricity at all times. Amazing place, highly recommend and hope to be back very very soon!

We chose the hotel, because it is in proximity to the Robberg Nature Reserve (Peninsula), where we spent a wonderful time, walking around the peninsula. It is in a quiet and safe area on a hill with nice views. Nicely decorated restaurant with opportunities to sit and eat outside as well. The room was spacious with direct access to a private courtyard (we are smokers), the beds were comfortable, delicious dinner & ecellent breakfast with buffett plus warm meals to be ordered. We liked the modern style of the house and rooms and the WiFi was sufficiently good. Secure car parking at the back.

No complaints at all, we were happy with everything

Fabulous location right in the centre of Robberg Beach, close to surf school and with easy driving access to downtown Plett for restaurants and amenities. The staff were INCREDIBLE, always with a smile and always willing to help. The housekeeping team offered their needlework services when a zip broke, and the manager deserves a huge thank you for getting something back to us that had been left behind after our departure. Amazing effort guys! ❤️ Breakfasts were fabulous, overlooking the ocean and with a great choice of food.

One of the two rooms we booked had poor bathroom ventilation which gave the room a bit of a stale smell

From the moment I arrived, all the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. There was never a dull moment, and I appreciate that they go over and above to make sure you are happy. The view of the sea was breathtaking, and I must say, the students doing their internship there was so lovely and fun. A big thank you to Emihle. She was so helpful and always there when I needed assistance. But honestly, everyone there was excellent 💕

Only thing I was not a fan of was the amount of times the generator would switch on and off and on and off again. But this is South Africa 🤷🏾‍♀️

View over Plettenberg Bay is beautiful and simply has to be seen. Very good breakfast, steps bit of a problem, access to the beach is just over the road. Way down from the tourist area so quiet with fantastic views.

You really need a car although the hotel had a efficient taxi service which was readily available at very reasonable rates to and from Platt

Please small boutique hotel overlooking the sea. We had a large suite with balcony that was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious. The location in the middle of Roberg beach was ideal, for accessing everything and away from central Plet that was not as nice.

From our room we could hear the generator during 'load shedding', but it was tolerable.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It feels like it could be very luxurious if it was kept a bit better. The restaurant / lounge area is immaculate though.

The room we stayed in doesn't seem very well maintained. The floor is lifting up, the bath silicon is coming lose, the kitchenette is all swollen, drawers don't open and only had 1 glass and 1 plate. I feel like a little bit of maintenance would go a long way. There were also ants everywhere in our room.

Fantastic location 3 min walk to Beach eith one superior bedroom overlooking it. Large spacious rooms . Very modern, pristine clean. Fantastic service dinner and breakfast. Lovely to sit on the front for pre dinner drinks. Professional friendly helpful staff. Private parking. Wished we’d booked extra nights . Hope yo return maybe next year . 10/10+ . Highly recommended 5*

Lots of steps so some people may struggle

Room is fantastic, very spacious, with a very big bathroom. Shower was fantastic. Breakfast is stunning, it's not a standard choice you find in most places, but unexpected cooked breakfasts as well as a buffet. Staff is very friendly and helpfull Excellent secured parking facility

The wifi was not working most days due to a technical fault
