Spa pool is great, especially since it was cool and rainy.

The breakfast used to be much better, which was a main reason I used to stay here. Also, there used to be a nice happy hour.

It's a beautiful, peaceful environment, the perfect getaway from busy day to day life. It's buzzing with tourists and visitors yet quiet and peaceful enough if you wanted to be away from the crowds. Stunning view overlooking the lagoon and golf course with all kinds of bird species flying overhead. We enjoyed a nice swim in the pools. Time went by so fast. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

We went thinking that there was a babysitting service but that service is only available during the festive season so we had to include our 1 year old in most of our activities which limited us but that's no fault of the venue, we probably should have phoned first to ask. We did request a cot but the venue was unable to provide one for us. So keep that in mind if you have children and take them along during your stay as some of the activities (the spa and the golf) are limited by having kids with you. Also keep mind that the jungle gym and play area has been removed. It's not a complaint, just including this info for any parents who want to take their kids along for their stay at the venue as something to keep in mind.

The Arabella Hotel exceeded expectations during our stay! Set within a secure estate, the hotel boasts a prime location overlooking the bay and the picturesque golf course. The rooms are not only comfortable but also impeccably equipped, offering a luxurious experience on par with five-star standards. We thoroughly enjoyed unwinding at the beautiful pool and spa area, which provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploration. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to our experience. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast buffet, offering a wide array of options to start the day off right. Overall, our time at Arabella Hotel was simply delightful, and we can't wait to return for another memorable getaway.

I had arranged for champagne , flowers, and a cheese platter to be in our room upon arrival. This unfortunately did not happen (after emailing them reminders the day before and on the day) - however the concierge on duty quickly resolved this while we were at the pool.

The telephone in our room was broken, and as suck we had to call the reception for any room service orders. After they had called maintenance, the issue seemed to be more than a quick fix - they tried to get us to move rooms 18:00 at night, two days prior to our exit - which I did not appreciate at all.

The location is second to none, the best part of the hotel (if you are not a golfer) is the pool which is beautifully appointed and well serviced. Meal options were great and not badly priced for a hotel stay.

Our daughter stayed with us in our suite and the sofa bed available is rock hard, which resulted in her not sleeping well throughout our stay. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, but the pillows left me with a stiff neck. Poolside would be better if sunblock was provided along with the complimentary towels, as we've experienced when staying at the 12A Hotel and Spa.

Nice facilities. As a matter of fact facilities are fantastic but hotel management does not take advatage of them to offer an exceptionnal stay. For instance I wonder if you will take the time to respond to this review.

1. We were automaticaly put in the worst room (ground floor , no view, except on a wall) of the whole resort requiring us to complain. This creates an embrasing moment to start a stay. In the end our room was changed but still with no view. The hotel was empty. 2. Hotel was incapable of making golf tee time arangements and we had to make bookings via the booking site without the hotel discount. 3. Restaurant OK but always the same menu ..... 4. Staff completely lost ...no "real" manager present

On arrival, we were welcomed at the door, desk and escorted to our room with friendly assistance. We were pleasantly surprised with the Happy Anniversary cake and champaign in our room. Throughout our stay, everyone was professional and friendly, from the lady in the Golf shop, to the employees of the Spa. When checking out the systems were down, due to the storm. This too was handled professionally. My husband and I was very impressed.

The braai buffet was definitely a disappointment. We felt that the options were too limited and for the price, we did not get the value we paid for. We expected more meat options and we were shocked to find only potato salad and fresh veg. You could and should do so much better with this. Big let-down!

The building itself is very impressive and well maintained. The lifts were very quick,which is important in a 5 storey building. The staff were friendly, efficient and right on message. Breakfast choices were really extensive and there was always plenty of everything. Eggs and omelette cooked to order. Lots of fresh fruit and compote. Fruit juice was very good quality and water was still, with lemon or lime and lemon. We stayed a week on b and b, and the dinner menu was very reasonably priced but not really wide enough to eat there for 7 nights. The dinner quality was very good, and service was always excellent in the restaurant. The golf course is in great condition, and the staff were very helpful.The gym was well equipped. The pools were well maintained and very clean. The bedding in the room was very high quality cotton. The air conditioning was very effective and very quiet.

No negatives at all.

The location is perfect and beautiful. The rooms are large and stunning and in my opinion all hotel rooms should be of this size and quality. The pool area is in a league of its own with beautiful clear blue waters with a waterfall.

The food isn't great to be completely honest. I made an effort to try most meals on the menu from breakfast right through to dinner and I must say for such a beautiful hotel I was quite underwhelmed. Especially because other restaurants are far from this location and you're therefore forced to eat the hotel. There also aren't many activities to do, its beautiful if you plan to eat, take a walk and enjoy the hotel and your room.
