Sheraton Novi Sad

This is a great place. To be honest I'm giving an "Excellent" review mostly thanks to the efforts of the reception crew. First time that I've understood what UK tourists mean when they say "I didn't feel a warm welcome" when they give a bad review :). I've always ignored that, but now I saw firsthand how a great welcome looks like. I had a terrible week before and arrived with my family really tired. The crew on the reception desk on 30th of December evening really made my day. They were so friendly and kind that kids opened up immediately and we all started to enjoy the stay. Room/housekeeping is 10/10. No issues there.

Maybe there is room for improvement in the restaurant area. Crew there was slow on refill and maybe needs more practice. But honestly nothing big to complain about. Thank you very much for a great stay. Will be back for sure!

Great hotel. Staff is polite. Rooms are spacious. Bed was very comfortable.

We were there only for a short visit but check-in was slow, the elevators are confusing, parking garage was narrow and the parking spaces are weird, you get charged extra for parking. After our check-out we had to take the stairs down to the parking garage with all of our stuff and luggage (elevator was not working- at least the one that can take you down to the garage) it was honestly very annoying, don’t think this hotel was up to Sheraton standards. Location wise it takes at least 35min walking to get to downtown, but I would suggest taking taxi since getting out of the garage is a pain..

parking is extra 10 EUR. vent in our toilet was broken - worked all the time - luckily it was not noticeable when the door to the toilet was closed. the sink had some wired black spots - overall the room would appreciate some renovation.

Usually we travel with a dog so it was quite important for us to have an opportunity to stay with a pet. However when we came for check in, it turned out that it's allowed to stay with a dog not bigger than 8 kilo. This info is not pointed on Booking so you should know that somehow (?). Our dog is 22 kilo and receptionist asked his manager and got an approval for our stay. The room was cozy and tidy and bed was as soft as a cloud. We enjoyed it! Also there's pretty nice gym and spa on the top floor with a great view. Totally recommended for a chill-time :)

There was smell from the pipes in our bathroom. We thought it's temporary but it stayed till the end of our stay. I guess it was unlucky choice of the room. Also cleaning wasn't well enough, there was no new hand towels and washing gels. One bathrobe only for two people in the wardrobe :( My husband was quite upset with such cleaning service.

The name “Sheraton” speaks for itself-I didn’t expect less) Proper high quality standards, well trained, polite and helpful staff, rooms are clean and well-equipped, breakfast is a big variety of choices. I ve traveled a lot for business and choosing Sheraton proves we made a right decision to stay there))

The only small comment: when booking on booking.com it offers you to choose smoking or non-smoking rooms, but it turns out all the rooms are non-smoking and even smoking in the balcony is not allowed. Pls update the info, so it’s not misleading))

Parking for guests is not free

kindness and professionalism of the staff, especially at the reception desk. there was a small situation with our room, but Jovan and Filip solved the issue immediately! very professional from their side. thanks 😊

unpleasant smell in the spa&wellness area. this is unacceptable for this type of hotel. tip: use some air freshener or similar, just get rid of the smell 😉

Keeping the level of SHERATON central location, 20 mins away from city center by walking

PEEL the cucmbers for breakfast; they were NOT fresh and unpeeled (worse that in July-2022, during my last stay there, you served OLD AND UNPEELED cucumbers at breakfast, with wooden-seeds ... Pigs eat such cucumbers, so don;t serve them for breakfast in SHARATON ... )

During breakfast time there is always a waiting line to the only coffee machine which is quite annoying, actually. Would be very reasonable investment into a second one.

fairly new, great location and extremely kind staff. beds are very comfortable, rooms are spacious and the front desk receptionist was indeed great and very kind guy! we got free parking, late check-out until 1pm and he found for us the connecting rooms. the food served by the restaurant was above average.

bit small variety of breakfast buffet and we were charged with decaf coffee as over consumption which was a bit disappointing
