ibis Bucharest Politehnica

The size of the room is huge and spacious. The bed and pillows are sooo comfortable! Hot and cold shower, air condition and heaters are all working very well! Also liked the big android tv since I can cast from my phone.

There was no kettle, no hotel slippers and no bottled water. I also had to borrow for the iron and ironing board and bring them manually in the room. There was also the very slow and old elevator. I was lucky I had a room in the 1st floor so using the stairs when I had to, was manageable for me. Except only during the checkout, I had to wait long for the elevator due to my luggages.

Great hotel, the room was big and clean - seams that this hotel is not quite old, I hope, will remain in this condition in the next years.

Staff were not so friendly, very poor breakfast.

The staff was very helpful with anything we needed. The hotel was also in a key location for where I needed to be. It was also very quiet.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room with coffee and tea. Thankfully I brought my own travel kettle because I could see online there wasn't one but I know my friends weren't happy to have to go downstairs or outside to the coffee shop in the mornings. Also, I know this is something small but the air conditioning device on the wall is so bright that it lights up the room at night which makes it hard for someone who is light sensitive to sleep.

The location was excellent, there is a supermarket just around the corner and two coffee shops. We had both breakfast and lunch at the hotel and we were very impressed. The continental breakfast was only 10 euros and had a wide variety of options with fresh produce. Lunch was really good too, there were plenty dishes to choose from. It was really busy when we stayed but staff were always friendly and happy to help.

The lack of closet/wardrobe/more clothing racks. I guess the hotel design is supposed to be modern minimalist but if you’re a couple travelling for a week like us you’ll need more space to hang your clothes.

The location, this was the main reason i selected this hotel, proximity to a place i had to go to.

While i can understand the noise that you could hear in the middle of the night, coming from hallway or other rooms, due to poor sound proof insulation of the rooms, which is quite common in 3* hotels, i cant understand the spider nets in all corners of the room, nor the clogged shower drainage. In addition to this, the shower glass is just for one quarter or the shower cabin, so no matter how you shower, you still flood the hole bathroom and then you have to clean for half an hour. The carpets were extremely dirty, i walked bare feet, big mistake. They should either be cleaned or removed or just provide slippers. One of the three.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Ibis Politehnica Hotel in Bucharest! From the moment we entered the hotel until the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect. The staff at this hotel is truly extraordinarily well-trained and experienced. We were greeted with a warm smile and a friendly attitude that made us feel at home from the very beginning. They were always available to answer any questions or assist with any requests we had. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. We had 2 peaceful nights sleep without any noise or disturbances. It's clear that the hotel's staff strives to provide a quality experience for their guests. The hotel's location is also excellent, with easy access to many attractions in Bucharest. In conclusion, the Ibis Politehnica Hotel offers an impeccable experience for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this hotel, and we will certainly return in the future. Thank you to the entire staff for their extraordinary hospitality!

The room was big enough, it was clean, really comfortable bed, everything was quite ok with a few small exceptoins. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts ever with A lot of options.

They don't provide any free water in the room, even if requested. Not even 1 bottle. The parking outside is free, but the indoor parking is not free. I checked, so my number was registered and I had to leave with the car a bit and when I came back the parking was full. They found a solution for me to park somewhere outside, but because my license plate was registered I had to pay. I asked for at least a discount and they couldn't provide it.

Well as a loyal customer of Ibis Group as I travel around the world and always choose ibis group hotels and resorts for me and family, leaving me with a fascinated experience, and good services provided by your hotel. Hence for your Hotel in Bucharest Polyethnic I was bit surprised with the car parking limitation in the lobby area, as it is remarkably limited for few cars and as a guest it is frustrating when I go around the city and back I could not find a parking in same area due first come first serve, although your staff has direct me to park in the basement (under ground) which i didn't find it much specious neither efficient compare to other Ibis Hotels which I experience, but overall I would like to thank your front line staff at reception whom very patiently assist me during my stay. I hope your managements can find a better solution to this issue, and wish to visualize that moment upon my next visit to Romania. To ensure car parking is always secured for the guests during their stay.

The morning coffee and tea option was really good in the breakfast menu. I loved the hot chocolate and the tea. The staff at the reception provided all the requirements I needed. The room was comfortable and bigger than I expected. I loved the stay. The staff is friendly and provided all the requirements. The room is good for the price.

The breakfast was the same for all five days. There was several option but it did not have healthy options like oats or more fruits. It would be better if the hotel consider including more fruits and vegetable in the breakfast menu. Also, I did not feel that the room was fresh / new everyday. It maybe because of the hotel's policy on being environmental friendly but it would be better if the hotel staff took away used towels, which was supposed to be replaced. Further, the hotel did not have a kettle to warm water in the room.

My stay at this hotel was for 5 nights and i can say that This hotel is located in a very nice area, close to the water and a 5 min walk to carrefour shopping centre. I found some of the staff to be a bit rude and bored of their job and never seem to find them in the reception area. The room was lovely, clean with free wi-fi and equipped with tv, fridge, hairdryer, no iron though. They provide ironing and clothes washing at extra price.

The hotel was a bit busy during my stay. Loads of family with kids. For two nights in a row the kids were staying late( 1-2 am) and were shouting in the hallway. Literally we had to go and tell them to keep quiet and go to their rooms as we need to sleep. Them slamming doors and windows was a common thing during the whole stay.
