Hotel Jardim Viana do Castelo

location was super central , the view from my room, elevator 🛗

the bath was blocked , breakfast was very poor, no vegetables 🥗 or eggs, charged extra 7€

stunning little hotel, I had view of the church on top of the hill from one window and the estuary from the other. great little restaurants in old streets just round the corner and free parking not far away. comfortable and clean bed, and Portuguese style room not too shiny just comfy and nice. easy access into historic parts of the town

I like everything about this place and will come again and recommend everyone I know to come here too

I want to say how pleased and satisfied I was with the accommodations. I stayed here one night on my Portuguese Coastal Camino pilgrimage in October 2022. Arriving at the front door and buzzing in or calling their phone number, someone was always quick to answer. After confirming reservations, I was given keys, wifi password and a thorough explanation of the room and all the available facilities for my use. The bed was made up with clean sheets. The communal rooms ie kitchen, dining room, bathrooms and gathering room were all spotlessly clean, well- stocked and inviting. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. They answered any and all questions I had, such as where is the nearest restaurant, café, grocery store, and pharmacy. I highly recommend staying here if you ever have the opportunity. I look forward to coming back and enjoying their hospitality once more. Don S.

I came around 10-11 am. I was not feeling well, and asked If I can check in earlier. Woman at the desk was really nice and understood my situation. She said as soon as the first room is cleaned up I can have it, and so I did. While I was waiting she kept on checking how I was doing. In my room I put on AC that worked well. Also Wi-Fi was good. Had some 24 hours of rest planning my next steps. Hotel is in a very nice spot and the street is full of cafes and places to eat. Spotlessly clean hotel, breakfast was good also with cake. 🙂 Staff is nice and polite. I would come again and highly recommend Jardim for staying.

Room was quite basic with a view to the back but working AC was my Eldorado.

The hotel is located in the old town along the Portuguese riviera. Great area to stop, explore and relax as we continued our Camino Portuguese.

This is an older hotel which hasn't yet been completely refurbished.

Great location. Friendly helpful reception staff. Breakfast very good..fruit,juice,cold meat,cheese,assorted breads,croissants,,selection of coffees and teas. Rooms were charming and clean. Plenty of power points. Common areas were very prettily decorated. Laundromat nearby.

Nothing. Water in room would be nice but it is available from the vending machine in the foyer.

this was a restored hotel and I loved it. evening staff are incredible. plenty of places to it, since you are in center. excellent food. The in house breakfast was great. my Uber was late and I had the from desk assistant help call a taxi. The Uber showed up. I felt bad for the taxi driver. The staff lady was so kind. THIS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY…

all was great.

The location is near the river and with cafes and shops. The room I had faced the alley but was quiet. The bed was not only comfortable but also smelled clean.

The light in the pink toilet could be brighter. If the occupants of the next room are noisy, you will hear them.

Wonderful location; great breakfast; super comfortable beds; a bathroom as large as the room itself with great shower; friendly and helpful staff!

Hotel good value in all respects

Nothing that the Hotel could do about it but after a very wet day, those in neighbouring room used hair dryer constantly ( presumably to dry out their clothes) until 9.00 p.m. and again at 6.00 a.m.!! Just goes to show that hotel can do its utmost in all respects but fellow guests can damage the hotel’s hard work.
