Pousada Palacio de Queluz

The food (breakfast) was amazing, especially different types of coffee and their traditional cakes. The breakfast is also very well served and selected so there is everything that you need. The staff was kind and helpful. The room itself is spacious with high ceilings and a bathtub.

The place is a beautiful historical monument, but there is very little information or content around. The full potential of the building is not used. Furniture in the room is outdated and the lights are behaving weird or dying (at least one lamp died during our stay in the room). It is not possible to open the windows in the room so the air is extremely dry, especially at night.

The pousada is a beautiful building and the rooms are large and very spacious. The breakfast was wonderful and very good air conditioning Staff were friendly and helpful

We liked everything about the pousada however I (only I, not my husband) felt itchy all night and I wondered if my bed had dust mites. It may not be the case and perhaps just some allergic reaction to washing powder or softener but it was weird as I have never experienced anything like that before and we travel extensively

I liked the history of the hotel, the view of the building because it resembles the Cathedral in my home country- Ukraine 🇺🇦 I did like that the administration offer our room earlier because it was already cleaned. If not that, we were ought to wait 2 hours more after the flight and jet lag. Liked the compliment water and chocolate. The every day cleaning!!!! estupendo 😌 the towel sizes for a shower 🚿 Liked the room size and the bed. BREAKFAST are fabulous and fantastic. Only roasted vegetable mix was toooo salty.

Too dark and too small windows. Recommend the first floor, i guess they have standard windows there. Because on the second they are tiny. The TV wasn’t working properly because of weak signal. the lightning system- nobody told at the reception that the hotel has a tricky system itself - that you need to switch on the switchers near the bed in order for the whole light in the room (lamps, sockets) to work properly.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The hotel itself was beautiful.

There could have been a little more variety for breakfast. A swimming pool would have been great as there was not a lot to do in Queluz, and would have made it great for families with children. The walls were very thin and you could hear the neighbours. The hairdryer in the bathroom was broken.

We arrived late in the evening, but that’s no problem since there’s a 24 hours reception. We booked a standard room, but got an upgrade to the suite. This was a nice big room. The breakfast was really nice. At the moment we wanted to check out, things went wrong. At the check in, they had said we still had to pay for the room. We thought that we already did, but the two men at the reception were convinced that we didn’t. So we paid. Again, because at the check out it seemed that we did indeed already pay for the room. It became a really stressfull check out, where they were asking for information of the bank, even though it was the same as on the card we showed. Very kind that they wanted to fix the fault that had been made, but this could have been prevented..

The reception is very kind, but gave us a lot of stress. Because of them, we nearly missed a booked visit.

Right beside the Palacio Queluz and its Gardens - which are really beautiful and worth a visit. The hotel is a fine hotel, in the traditional sense.

We booked this property to dine at what is described on the property's website as 'our restaurant' - Cozinha Velha. CV is a separate property and is only open Wednesday - Sunday - if I had known this I would have booked to stay on another night. Unfortunately the town of Queluz has nothing to offer.....better off staying in Lisbon

The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge. The breakfast, that was included was incredible. I expected a continental breakfast but they had every item you could imagine. The staff were around to monitor if they were running low on anything and would quickly refill. The staff were very helpful and kind.

Would be nice to have an outdoor patio to enjoy a drink.

The hotel is small in size, a boutique hotel really, but in grand surroundings. The room and bathroom were large with large windows and a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and well maintained by the lady in charge who constantly kept the table freshly stocked and orderly. The front desk was friendly and accessible. The Palace and it’s amazing gardens are not to be missed. The building that houses the Pousada was built as part of the Palace.

Good service, charming small hotel. Breakfast had everything we wished for.

We were not warned about the price of laundry, there were no price list in the room so we had quite a shock when the bill came. When the main restaurant in the square is closed (august) one can use the little restaurant in the hotel but the cooking is poor and disappointing. We propose one goes elsewhere for dinner.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and it was easy for us to get around. The train station was a 15 minute walk to go on excursions. The hotel atmosphere was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much.

A few more outlets would be helpful for charging phones and tablets.
