Stay Hotel Guimarães Centro

The location of the hotel is very convenient , close from the train station and city center. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and very helpful , I've got a lot of useful tips and looking forward to come back in the city.

We were allocated in the room next to the road and for me as a sensitive person for the noises was hard to sleep at the first night . But the hotel has a opposite rooms and I believe it is possible to get more quiet one

The hotel is central with many facilities near by: café, pharmacies, supermarket and restaurants. Close to the center, any easy walk. We also found street parking very easily.

The pillows in the bed were extremely uncomfortable. When we solicited replacement we were told that all were the same. The hotel is a bit run down. In need of a a refurbishment.

The gentleman at the reception was super nice and helpful, sharing recommendations for the city and making sure our stay is good. The room is clean and has all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It was quiete and we had good sleep. The location is central and near all main attractions and city center

Nothing, all was good!

Everything was perfect, the room, the service. The staff was very helpful, and is just coule of minutes from center.

On the way to the bus station we were robbed from taxi, asked for extra 3 euros for backpack.

I liked the cleanliness and attention to feeling “ COVID safe”. This was my first trip post pandemic. The hotel is across the street from a good sized Pingo Doce ( grocery store) and close to a padaria (bakery), cafe and carry out restaurant. It is very close to the old historic district and important sightseeing, particularly if you use your Google maps to take you through the side streets ( past Pingo Doce), through the oldest housing in the city. This is the quickest route in.

The only suggestion I have is that, I believe, that there were many vacant rooms during my stay of three nights. I had a neighbor checked in right next to me whose noise I heard. If there are many vacant rooms, it would be nice for guests to be spaced to have a quieter stay.

Room was good size. Very good quality bed and pillow. TV set is way too far from the bed... doesn't make sense at all! An articulated arm might be placed and TV b closer. Breakfast is good with fresh items. Hotel very well located.

The location was very good and central. The room was spacious and with big windows allowing plenty of light in.

The room showed some signs of use (scruffs in the walls and stains in carpet) which could be kept better maintained. Although the hotel advertises private parking, parking was only available on the street (which was paid).

The staff was really friendly and helpful all the time. The room is big and the paid parking lot is also worth it if you plan to walk to the centre. Did I mention that the location is great? Just a few hundred meters from the main avenue. The room is big and very comfortable.

The breakfast was alright, but I think it could be a lot better. One of the socket was detached from the wall.

Great location, friendly staff and modern facilities.

They have a ring camera to let people into the building when it is late. There were a couple of occasions where I had to call the front desk in order to be let into the building as nobody answered the bell.

Basically everything. Spacy, clean, less than 10 minutes to the very city centre. excellent wifi.

The only thing was a bit of noise in the morning due to the traffic on the main road; we had a room on the front. But this is really bitching on a very high level.
