The Ridge Coron

We checked in earlier than 2 pm, but we were given a temporary Mountain View Room absolutely FREE of charge! WOW! My girlfriend Margie and I were very impressed! EVERYONE, from the following employees: Diane, the Marvellous Manageress(!) Zinnia the S-E-X-Y Supervisor! Trinny, the Fantastic Front Office Clerk! Judith, the Charming Chef! Juvelyn, the H-O-T Housekeeping Head! Esme, the Culinarily Gifted Cook! Paul, the Proud Pinoy Housekeeper! Jonard the Pretty Pinay Housekeeper! Maricris, the Precious Housekeeper! The rooms were both spotlessly clean! The WiFi was upgraded on Saturday 2 nd September 2023, an hour after our arrival! We LOVED the unlimited tea🍵, coffee☕ and juice during breakfast! The bathroom had a hot water💧geyser! Fantastic! The "Seaview Room," number EIGHT actually had a panoramic view of the sea! ALL the employees pay attention to every minute detail! They take pride in their work and they're all trained to respond to guests' needs and solve problems on time, and fulfill the guest's reasonable needs! Amazing staff led by Miss Dazzling Diane! Please keep up the good work! Excellent customer service! We will definitely return to your beautiful hotel! Margie loved the facilities too!

There's really NOTHING NOT to like! I'm impressed that at least ONE hotel in Coron Town is "going the extra mile" to reasonably satisfy their guests' needs! Bravo!

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst doing some scuba diving. Staff are wonderful and couldn't be any more helpful. We were greeted with a welcome drink after being brought from the airport on a shared shuttle that the hotel arranged for us. The room was decent and perfect for what we needed. The included breakfast is a nice touch and set us up well for a day of diving. Overall great value for money and would recommend as a place to stay in Coron.

The only slight issue is the location, as it is really quite far up a very steep hill, however the hotel has it's own trike and driver to take you down the hill and you can also call to get picked up from town if you want to, which makes the hill a non issue really!

The room was very clean. I had a fast Globe 5g wifi connection in my room. Download speeds averaged 25 - 30 mb/ second. The staff was excellent and very attentive to all my needs. The food at their restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The staff always said hello sir with a big smile anytime they saw me. All the front desk ladies were very nice. The night guard Arthur even took me to the rooster/cock fights. I had been wanting to see a live rooster fight for a long time. Arthur was great and very helpful and friendly. I had a good time there at the rooster fights.. He also got me a private boat one day. All the employees went out of their way to please me and make my stay very enjoyable. All the maids and cooks were very nice and hospitable to me. The veggie pizza was awesome!! They have a great cook as well. The people who own this place really run it well. I can't think of anything really negative to say about it. The air conditioner and hot water in my room worked great. The hotel provides a free hot and cold water dispenser as well as a good tasting free breakfast with coffee every morning. The place was spotlessly clean. I had a fantastic stay.

Astonished! Thats the only word that I can describe on this hotel. Its not a typical hotel unlike others that when you go out a crowded nor busy streets already. But a chirping of birds, sounding of winds and most of all the breathtaking view of Coron Island. It is also a plus factor the two sunny side eggs on your daily breakfast and unli brewed coffee. Haha 😅 In addition, I would recommend the staff for giving their positive attitude, good vibes and welcoming aura it seems a very genuine behaviour. Truly, an excellent and a quality customer service. I would definitely recommend and stay here again soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -Skie Felisilda

room was great not too small not too large. it was functional. although it may need some chairs for you to sit down. our side was in the so-called "Mountain View" but actually it was the mountain itself (as in less than 5 meters away)...the roadside (which has a fantastic view of Coron bay) has the better side but was already filled up. Next time you book request for the seaside view.

the hotel is located at the middle of Mt. Tapyas...so the road going to the hotel was quite steep and will need strong legs to walk from the main road (Coron-busuanga) which is at the ground level to the hotel site. But the hotel has a very reliable 'tuk-tuk' tricycle -aka'chariot" that will bring and collect you from the hotel or the main road below...so no worries. besides local tricycles (fare =PhP20/pax) can bring you up to the last section of the road going to the hotel (which will be a healthy 5-7 minute walk up)....so all good..

Everything.... sobrang kada kita ng mga staff smin... ngiti pa lang and greetings hindi mapapasmile ka na din. Super accomodation. Sobramg maasikaso... sobrang babait ng mga staff... super. Salamat... worth it ang stay nmin. Salamat and until next time

The staff were so nice and accommodating and greeted you every time you came in! Good organization of airport shuttle and tours. Free breakfast. Free cold filtered water. Clean rooms and dining area. Rooftop is gorgeous (unfortunately we didn’t know about it until our 3rd day) - a tour of the property on day one would be nice to add! People in other reviews are talking about it being a bad location because you’re up a hill but it’s really an easy/nice walk if you are able-bodied, the views are spectacular, and it’s quiet. They have free tuk tuk rides if you don’t want/unable to walk. Ultimately I would say it was a great stay and I’m happy we were there and would recommend it for people looking for a comfortable, more relaxing vibe!! There were just little things here and there that made it so I wasn’t blown away. But honestly if they had a pool I would say it’s a 10 and a “must stay” - (because there isn’t easy water access from coron town unless you do a boat activity)

We liked the breakfast omelet but wish it had also come with some fruit. Hooks in room would be nice. Beach towels would have been so helpful. WiFi is bad in the rooms but works well in lobby. Having a suggestion of restaurants or what to expect for the tours would be nice service to offer - and having snorkels for guests to use or at least warning guests about what prices to expect to buy them at the boat docks.

The staff was 11/10. No matter what you needed or who you asked the staff was there to assist you. Even after checking out, the staff helped us retrieve my headphones that I forgot, and arranged for some other guest staying at The Ridge to bring them to El Nido where I was. The hospitality here really is beyond. Breakfast was good with multiple options to choose from. Nice rooftop to lounge on. Nice and quiet location away from the main street with a lot of noice but still central with the possibility to walk everywhere. They also offer free tuctuc if you prefer.

The rooms are on the smaller size, however it's nice and clean. We would come again.

Breakfast was filling but would have liked to have some fresh fruit. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Fan and air conditioning worked well. Staff the best thing about the place...pleasant, welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Nice sitting area on 3rd floor. 2nd floor dining area had great view, Steep hill to climb to get to hotel, they offer free shuttle service to the main Coron area, but it was peaceful there because it was above the main part of town. Liked the green trees and sound of birds. Good drying rack for wet clothing. Rented towels for day use. Good tours with pick up and drop off at hotel.

Room was not quite as nice as the pictures, some paint scratches, some damage to the trim around the bathroom door, wall around air conditioner had gaps. Room was simple, too small for a sitting area. Wih a view like that, it would be nice to have a more comforable seating area to enjoy it.

The ridge has a beautiful view of Coron! The staff are absolutely amazing! The best staff service I’ve experienced in a long time. The Ridge is on a massive hill so they provide free pick up and drop offs from the town back to the hotel. Breakfast is good! Daily room cleaning if you want it.

The room size is a bit small. Perfect for 1-2 nights. We stayed 5 nights so we felt a little crammed by the end of it. The shower pressure isn’t good but at least the temperature gets hot! Also if you don’t ask for the room to be cleaned the bathroom will smell. We noticed ours had a bad pee smell. But over all a good stay!
