I loved everything about this hotel. Extremely exquisite with a beautiful reception, pool area, dining area and beyond. My room was absolutely stunning, spacious and the bathroom had a fancy bathtub, shower and area to get ready. The bed was very comfortable. I had enough space to work and lounge with a huge sofa right by the window.

The hotel itself was amazing. I wish the staff were a bit more friendly. At check-in, no one showed me to my room, I was quite frantic and was going in circles because the elevator was not working until I was told I needed to tap my card. Although even with tapping my card it still didn't work throughout my stay.

The room is spacious, the bathroom is good with a bath and a shower. The bed was firm and comfortable. The breakfast is good and the staff very responsive and attentive.

The lighting controls are a bit tricky - when you turn some of the lights off in the main room and it switches off the bathroom lights which isn't good if someone is using the bathroom at the time. The bathroom lights switch indicators are lit indicating the bathroom lights are on but they are not. If you press the light switches the indicator lights go off which actually switches on the lights. That's backwards in my opinion.

Clean, great food, nice staff (except for the inhouse taxi service manager)

The inhouse taxi service is a pure scam, be very careful!! They have clear upfront rates for picking you up from the airport, which they do very correctly, but if you ask for a regular taxi to leave the hotel and go to Muscat, they will send you out in regular taxi who does not put on his meter and upon arrival applies some pre-defined fixed rates per destinations from the hotel that nobody had communicate to us upfront (roughly 50 to 75% more expensive). When complaining about this, we got a half cooked apology, their inhouse taxi service even became arrogant and very condescending. Pity, because the hotel is very nice/clean, food is delicious and the staff are great...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hormuz Grand Room with my family, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience that exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we stepped into the room, we were greeted by an atmosphere of luxury and comfort that set the tone for a memorable stay. The amenities and facilities provided were nothing short of awesome. The room itself was spacious and elegantly appointed, providing a perfect blend of modern convenience and classic charm. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and the breathtaking view from our window was simply mesmerizing. However, the true highlight of our stay was the incredible range of facilities, especially the swimming pool. The pool area was a true oasis, where both adults and kids alike could unwind and have a blast. Our children were absolutely delighted, and they spent hours splashing around and enjoying every moment. The well-maintained pool and the surrounding lounging area added an extra layer of relaxation to our vacation. The staff at Hormuz Grand Room further elevated our experience. Not only were they attentive and courteous, but they also went out of their way to ensure that our family had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their genuine warmth and dedication to making our time special made us feel truly valued as guests. In conclusion, our family getaway at Hormuz Grand Room was truly unforgettable. The luxurious room, the incredible amenities, and the outstanding staff made this stay a grand experience. The swimming pool was an absolute hit with the kids, and their joyful moments added an extra layer of happiness to our vacation.

They were pampering us like their family. We had two young children and they both felt in love with the hotel atmosphere.. staff were friendly and responsible especially Paolo at the restaurant and his French colleagues Terria (I hope the spelling is correct or I ll get the chance to be corrected by my next staying there). Serving Complimentary fresh fruits and ice cream gave us the sense of being at home . Pool staff paid lots of attention to the safety measures. Breakfast had a vast variety of foods that everyone at any age would be satisfied. I liked all kinds of detox flavoured waters,fresh teas which came in pots and the coffees. Moreover the coffee machine in side our room boosted our afternoon mood. Out door restaurant and the pool were surrounded by beautiful trees. Our kids enjoyed playing at the children's pool with other kids. We left for the airport hassel free it was close to the hotel and no traffic jam

I wish there was indoor/garage parking which inside the car would not be hot. Thank to staff who had already turned on the AC we enjoyed The water could be easily stay at the bathroom and not moving toward the drain

Its right next to the airport . We landed at night , so just wanted a place close to the airport .

We checked in at 1 am and when we got to the room we saw that the AC wasn't working . We called reception and they sent someone to check it . They gave us another room but we were already tired from the late flight and lack of sleep and it would have been nice if they had checked to see if AC was working prior to our arrival seeing that we had informed we would be checking in very late. Breakfast is decent .

We had a quick overnight stay here before flying out of Muscat airport. The pool was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting out at the fountain-side restaurant. Good location for the airport (just 10 minutes drive) and staff were very friendly.

When we checked in we enquired about booking a taxi in advance, as we were heading to the airport around 4am, and we were told there was no need to book ahead as the front desk would be able to get one whenever we needed. We ended up waiting for quite a long time, and were getting a little bit nervous about missing our flight! Luckily we made it just before check-in closed, but I'd recommend leaving 20-30 minutes to get a taxi.

This is our second visit to this hotel and for the second time, they succeeded in surprising me, especially two ppl, Sanaa from reception and Habib from the pool area; both are perfect and excellent faces of the hotel. I just have one question about the breakfast, what type of white cheese do they offer? the cheese was amazing but I forgot to inquire about its type!!! overall breakfast experience was amazing especially the staff, they added a touch of welcome and thoughtfulness... thanks everyone ...

Pool bathroom and changing area, need further attention, lighting and cleaning ... more activities needed for families especially during such times as official holidays and eids ... and discounts for loyalty ...

Good value for money, nice room and comfortable beds. Good choice of restaurants and very helpful staff outside of the hotel. Very nice gym and spa department.

There is limited potential for sun bathing, due to the high walls keeping the sun out (understandable in summer months, but not for a winter get away.
