Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, an IHG Hotel

I booked two rooms on our 10th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, Mr. Hisham (Duty Manager) did an excellent job to speed up our check in after seeing a long queue at the Reception. He also granted our late check out request the next day. Thanks to the reservation team who arranged a welcome anniversary cake in our room even though we didn't request one. We were delighted. The breakfast in the restaurant is also very good and the staff are so friendly. I specially thank Jennifer, Jay and Elvira for being gracious and attentive to our needs. Thanks also to the the HK staff who were efficient in all our request and for keeping our room spotless. Overall, you made our stay memorable and our kids were so happy (it is the most important). We wish to come back soon.

The bidet in our bathroom was broken when we arrived. Refused to grant 15mins extension of late check out as we were waiting for our lunch takeaway.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Crown Plaza hotel for a week, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. From the moment I checked in, the service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I could need. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, with thoughtful touches like fresh fruits, Eid chocolates, desserts, and complimentary toiletries. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The hotel restaurant served some of the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, and the selection of wines was excellent. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel also had two bars and lounge areas, which provided a perfect place to unwind after a long day. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the staff was always on hand to make sure I had everything I needed. Overall, I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay with excellent service and delicious food, then this is the place for you. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Bed comfort

The Hotel is far from Muscat city. It is near the convention and exhibition center and close to airport. This suited me as I was there to attend a conference in Exhibition Centre. The hotel is clean, the staff is very good. Very good Breakfast, Good Pool etc. Very nice place if you are visiting muscat on business.

For Dinner I ordered a pepperoni Pizza, it was the worst pizza i eat in my life. the quality of the pepperoni was poor so was the quality of the cheese. Never expected such food from Crown Plaza, wasted 7 omani riyal. Do not order italian food there.

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a wonderful experience. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, providing a pleasant stay. One highlight of our visit was the mosaic buffet, which offered a wide variety of delicious food and left us thoroughly impressed. However, we did have a couple of minor concerns. Firstly, the pool was disappointingly small, and the water didn't seem to be properly cleaned, which was a bit of a letdown. Additionally, we were hoping to enjoy some indoor shisha during our stay, but were disappointed to find out that it was only available outdoors. This became uncomfortable due to the hot weather. Despite these drawbacks, our overall experience at the hotel was positive. The comfortable rooms and amazing mosaic buffet made up for the small pool and the inconvenience with the shishauu. We would recommend this hotel for those looking for a great stay with excellent dining options, keeping in mind the limitations mentioned.

the things which is not accepted is check in time is not accepted, we arrive at 1:00 pm - hotel staff told me its at 3:00 pm check in, i booked from booking and they mentioned at 2:00 pm - no agreed between two parties , i left and back to check in at 9:00 pm and when i booked i request two connecting room, when i asked reception they booked two rooms but in different level, and in the same time they search for me two rooms , its found but i was waiting in the reception area more than 45 minutes .. shamed things first time i seen at this hotel

Amazing place to stay. It was so comfortable and peaceful. Although it’s outside of downtown and we weee sceptic about how far is it, soon we realized that it is a perfect location to stay if you are visiting Oman by car. The staff was really great and helful, all smiling from the clerk at the reception desk to the cleaners. Exceptional behavior. Food in the restaurant for buffet breakfast was really good. A variety of meals that made it hard for us to choose. The overall impression is truly amazing.

Only the temperature in the room. Regardless of how we’ve been setting the AC as we were leaving the room (switch to off, set to auto, etc.), the room was freezing. Seems like the ‘Auto’ mode works better than ‘Off’, for some reason (yet, it was somewhat better like that).

Smooth check in/out. Excellent facilities. Rooms spotlessly clean. Room service when required were courteous and professional. Food amazing. Michael and his staff that run the Big Chill brunch deserve so much credit. Not only for the food and entertainment but there attention to customer needs.

Not being able to use OTaxi and being forced to use a service 5 times more expensive is not good. The gym is very small with hardly any equipment. Perhaps some investment in something bigger would be in order. It's about the only thing that let's the hotel down

A great 24 hour stay, with many choices of food styles. Well designed rooms which cater exceptionally well for the business traveller, but perhaps a little less accommodating for the vacationing couple who have more luggage etc. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, making the stay a memorable experience and resolving issues easily.

Few outside eating areas had sufficient shade during the heat of the day. The locality is largely a building site/area at present, which clearly will change in time, but gives, at present, an unwelcome outlook from many viewpoints.

Third stay in this hotel and still the same very positive experience. It has, however gotten more expensive than when it opened (about 7 years ago if I am correct?) and it is already starting to age a little. I guess that's the way an hotel evolves... The location not far fro the airport and close to the OCEC is very convenient (unless you wish to visit the city downtown of course). Staff is very nice and helpful even when checking-in in the middle of the night!

The only things are that: - the temperature could be a little lower in the breakfast room, in my opinion; - also the A/C in my room was a noisy and "windy" one, and not very well regulated (always too cold when on at a given temperature, remained off and hence actual temperature getting too warm if set only 1°C above).

Everything was perfect Cleanliness, rooms are wide and cozy, room services is amazing, breakfast is delicious, clean, and has many varieties, staff members are very friendly and cooperative. We liked our stay and might repeat it

The pool is small compared to the guest number, specially during the rush hours and the eid days. We found some flies and insects in the garden (only garden) during the night, considering that the hotel is close to a water canal, more pest control is required to achieve the best level of cleanliness.
