Scandic Seilet Hotel

We were lucky to be upgraded to a room with fantastic views! It was easily one of the top views we've ever had! The room itself was also great and spacious, and the breakfast exceptional!

It might have been my mistake but from the description of the hotel i had the impression there was a swimming pool at the hotel (there was one, but in another building and you had to pay entry; the opening hours were also quite limited); it seemed not clear from the desciption that you had to pay for the parking as well (unless i read it too quickly)

Good room, breakfast and location

STAFF MUST give proper information on parking. We asked and were led to believe we paid for parking at the machine (or app) when we left . Like we did in town that same day. Nobody emphasized that we had to make sure and get a ticket from the machine and leave in the window of the car. We (and others) got a big fine from the city. Shame on you and your city for not posting signs to inform your visitors.

I did not receive the room that I was promised that I would receive when I asked for a special request and was confirmed in a message that I would receive it. There is no air conditioning and the room is very hot because of the large windows. The staff did not cooperate with me because the hotel was full. Don't promise things you can't keep

Breakfast was wonderful. Huge variety of Norwegian and non-Norwegian food. Best bread I've had in years. Beautiful view from the breakfast room. Our family room was clean. The lobby is much nicer than the room.

The family room was outdated. The tiny shower was one of those pre-fab kits with sliding doors and just enough space to stand. No hair conditioner was provided in the bathroom.

The view out of my room window was absolutely stunning. Clear sight of the fjord and wildlife. I can absolutely recommend it! The bathroom was clean and of a more upscaled standard. The shower however could need an update. The breakfast options are various and there were quite a few vegan and gluten-free options. The architecture of the building is quite stunning and the interior is best described as standard.

The interior of the room was a bit outdated and worn down. Nevertheless clean. There is no gym nor sauna on the third floor as described and indicated in the elevators. I booked a spa treatment at the bordering Seilet Spa so I was able to use their facilities which were ok but very small for the size of hotel. Furthermore without a spa treatment appointment one would have needed to pay extra which I would not recommend.

Location was excellent. Staff were nice. Breakfast was nice. View was fantastic. Bar staff were nice & friendly.

Weather was poor 😀 Very expensive country 😁 My team was beaten by Molde 😃 Shower was average to poor, the temperature fluctuated too much and you have to climb into the bath to have a shower. The glass door on the bath was not stopping water going onto the floor.

booking com ask too many questions

booking com ask too many questions and therefore booking destroys the total feelig, anoying and inapropriate guestions wether I was traveling alone or not- Booking breaking the law and the requirements of GDPR by to pumping visitor for too many data- leading too many visitors just stop the survey. booking com so arrogant that they require all questions to be filled out. Booking com choose to have no data instead of a litle bit.. not wise

Location is fantastic, the view from the room was magnificient, just as we had hoped for. Our room was on the 11th floor. Breakfast buffet was huge, the food to choose from was very good. Thouroughly enjoy our stay there. Parking was free over the weekend, we just had to make sure we had a valid parking ticket for monday morning. Turned out to be a good decision, guy parking next to us got fined

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, which was on Easter Day and most of the restaurants were closed, we asked for a place to eat and the receptionist provided us with a list of local restaurants which might be open. Also, at check-out the receptionist gave us helpful information on a place we wanted to visit.
