Alpha Motel

The location was great & suited us perfectly. The staff were very helpful & accommodating with us needing to change our booking to a bigger place (2 bedrooms) on arrival. The cleaning lady was very polite & helped us with out luggage, and although didn't speak much english, got her phone to talk for her & wish us a good trip & hope we enjoyed our stay etc. We won't hesitate to stay with you again next time we're in chch. Thankyou

People were smoking in courtyard below our apartment, so we had to shut windows as smoke was coming into lounge & bedroom .... just a small inconvenience & realize they need to smoke somewhere

Situated on a busy road but heard no traffic noise. Liked that our key was left out for us as we were a bit later arriving than expected. Husband left his wallet behind in error and they were on the phone to us to let us know before he even realised. Very grateful for their attention to detail.

Door to unit did not always close automatically behind us when leaving so just needed to check each time but once aware of this, as not an issue.

Location - It was central to where we needed to be. Loved the location! The room - Was nicer then we expected. Was warm and cosy! Allowed for us to check in early. We really appreciated that. Thank you!

Looks a little run down as you drive in but just needs some TLC. Also, our bathroom had no ventilation whatsoever. So when someone would have a shower the condensation was terrible. And because the wharepaku (toilet) is in the same room the toilet paper was getting wet.

The room was soo nice! The beds were super comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing. They catered for our needs best the could with everything. They have heaps of utensils to use in the kitchen. Electric blankets on all beds. Outdoor seating wide open doors. Huge TV with all steaming services available. Will definitely be staying when we are next in Christchurch.

These are things I didn't like but they were just little notes... The stairs which could be hard for certain people. They were fine for us. The carpet needs a bit if a clean. Please don't read these as bad things as everything was amazing otherwise.

We arrived at around 8.30pm, past check in hours. The office was unattended but there was a phone outside where we could call for help. Charlie who picked up the phone gave very clear instructions on how to obtain our keys, while another staff Ellie came out to help us. They respond to messages fairly quickly as well.

It was not mentioned that some rooms were located on the upper floor only accessible by stairs. Fortunately we were only staying for one night and we had a second room on the ground floor where we could store the heavier luggage. Otherwise, accessibility might be an issue.

Lovely clean, well equiped room, comfortable bed, very good quality bedding. It was very well presented and well laid out. The kitchen was good, and we had everything we needed. Modern bathroom, good quality shower. Jet and a nice treat. Staff were friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Noise from rooms above. Could hear everything, including them using the toilet!

Great hotel for a two night work trip in Christchurch. Relatively easy to find and close to the supermarket, airport. My room had everything I needed including a small kitchen, living area and comfortable bed.

Although the room was cleaned during my stay, there were ants in the bathroom and what looks like fly wings in the sink and bathtub.

The manager sam was very friendly and understanding as there was a mix up with the third night stay but he accomodated us and did so very professionally which is more than I can say for booking.com. will definitely stay again when we visit christchurch

As soon as I arrived greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who offered a room upgrade. The room exceeded my expectations very spacious, clean with full leather couch, large tv, spa and kingsize bed. The room was very comfortable with airconditioning and view. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting chch.

Great location & good sized rooms with friendly staff

We expected a single bed or fold out sofa bed as we were travelling with a child. But our child had to sleep on the couch. If we were made aware of this we would have purchased an extra bed for our child. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided & was not enough for the whole family.
