Van Rossum Stadshotel Woerden

Very stylish hotel and restaurant with excellent service. Large room with a quirky style and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant is also done very well, with open kitchens and a good buzz. Food is excellent, perhaps not the cheapest but very well done. Safe storage area for bikes. Some excellent touches add a personal touch- the personalised letter on arrival and welcome fudge. The building is like a converted barn, with lots of exposed timber but also very modern, with a very clever design that means the rooms are well insulated from noise from the restaurant.

Can’t really find any faults.

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Woerden, and offers very stylish and modern rooms with all the creature comforts you would expect. Service was professional and friendly, and the airconditioning was a life-saver during the hot summer nights. It's a bit pricey but I can't fault the quality of the accommodation itself.

Being in the heart of the city means some noise - our room was across the road from the local pub/cafe and they were playing music until it closed at 1am. It wasn't too loud and thus only a minor nuisance, but the hotel reception offered us earplugs to help manage. It didn't really affect our sleep though as the room was cool, dark and super comfortable.

- Location is great, right in the center of Woerden - The food in the restaurant is also very good. However it is a little bit expensive to eat there everyday. Would be great to have cheaper options for hotel guests. - Air conditioning working very well

- Bathroom extractor fan always working and it is a little bit noisy during night

The breakfast was excellent. Presentation, produce and service are absolutely top. Nothing is too much for the staff and service is written with a capital S. Room was shall we say quirky. Not unpleasant but needs time to get used to. The shower in our room would not be my choice anywhere and should be upgraded to international hotel standard. Again quirky but not my style.

It was a pleasure staying in this hotel, hosts were very welcoming and nice, all the staff from the hotel to the restaurant was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place and come back whenever I am travelling in the area. Sparkling clean and nicely decorated, everything helps to feel good and relaxed. I had to work for some time there and could have the quietness needed for that. Thanks for making your hotel an outstanding place to work, relax, enjoy nice meals and restful nights :)

Beautiful building in the heart of the old town. Inside the bold wooden beams structure blends with the big skylight in the center of the hall and the cozy Dutch decor which creates a very charming atmosphere. On the right side there is a spectacular open kitchen gives a fresh touch the big hall and hosts the generous breakfast buffet.

on the last day, before departing, we felt a bit neglected, it took us 40 min to get a cappuccino and a croissant. pity because the staff was lovely.

What a fabulous hotel this is. Right in the centre of the town and such friendly and helpful staff and amazing food and lovely room with added touches of a coffee machine and even chocolates! Dinner was delicious and it’s fun seeing the chefs prepare the food. An amazing buffet breakfast - they really do everything right. We will definitely come back.

Everything!! From the moment we arrived we were so well looked after. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Our room was so modern and comfortable. The hotel had a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed food in the restaurant and an array of hot and cold food was offered at breakfast. There was also storage for our bikes.

The whole building is aesthetically pleasing with friendly staff. Each room offers its own unique charm. We were able to rent bikes and tour the area. The breakfast experience is superb. The ambience and the choice of food in the restaurant works well for dinner. The food is well presented and very tasty.

The restaurant staff at dinner are sometimes less attentive than I would like. It took quite some gesturing to get their attention on the 2nd night we ate there (different staff) and sometimes we felt a little ignored. This could be as a result of not having enough staff for the number of diners or having a system that only permits a certain server from serving certain tables or the staff not being as well trained as others. It's a small gripe and it could still be improved.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant in a very central spot in Woerden. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and willing to assist with anything that was needed at the drop of a hat. The breakfast was extensive and very tasty.

I had a couple small issues with the in-room coffee machine and a plumbing problem during my stay, but the staff was very helpful and responsive to assist with both.
