Mövenpick Hotel The Hague

The Movenpick is a small boutique hotel in the center of Den Haag, a kind of little gem hidden in a quiet street just a few steps from the famous Noordeinde Palace. The exterior of the building can mislead as the true beauty of the hotel is inside, once you get through its doors. Decorators made an excellent job. Rooms are bright and spacious, with modern and high quality furniture.  The bathroom is superb too. Alba at the reception was great.  Buses n. 22,24,28 bring you from the Central Station to (more or less) the hotel and vice versa. Please bear also in mind that this is cashless hotel.

Only CON was the baby coat, which did not have a mattress at all (therefore our little boy slept in the bed with us).

The hotel was located very well. Check in was super friendly and quick. Our highlight was Pilvi she was responsible for the breakfast area and soooooo sweet and attentive. She made us very welcome and special. She always greeted us with a smile on the morning and even came out to say goodbye when we we’re leaving to go back home. Such a lovely person!!!!!

Did not like check out, received the wrong final bill from someone else and no apologies whatsoever from the front desk person. Wasn’t very friendly either.

The main reason why we picked this hotel was its location - it is right in the centre, yet hidden on a small alley, which makes it the perfect place to stay if you want a quiet place, but you want to have restaurants and coffee places around as well. The decor of the room was something we appreciated as well. It does not feel like a regular, dry hotel room.

Even though we travelled at the end of the summer when the temperatures were still up, we were cold in our room. The information we found in the room said that the temperature can be adjusted from 19 up to 24 celsius degrees. Truth is you can barely make it go up to 21. From what we understood, the temperature is set for the entire building and it is not something you can easily change per room. The staff was very nice and solutions oriented every time we approached them and they provided us with an extra heater, which fixed things for us.

rooms were small but efficient, theres a sofa for just having a seat and a table for whatever it is you want to do. beds were very comfortable, sheets are a bit thin though, personally i like snuggling under a fat blanket. shower was also really good and comfortable! staff is very friendly. would definitely recommend!

the rooms were dusted quite poorly before our arrival. there were cobwebs around the edges of the ceiling. the bathroom was still wet when we arrived for some reason. however, neither of these things ruined our stay! we really enjoyed it.

The staff were all great. Location perfect, right in the centre but in a lovely quiet spot. walking distance to everything with loads of great restaurants and bars minutes away. I've stayed in several lovely hotels and apartments in Den Haag but this is definitely my new first choice for my next trip. The huge balcony was a bonus, nice to enjoy a morning coffee and a nightcap before bed.

Menu in the onsite restaurant was fine if only staying a day or 2 but a little limited. Not an issue as plenty of eateries close by and wouldn't tend to eat at any hotel I stay at more than once or twice.

The hotel location was pleasant and quiet. Staff were generally very helpful. My husband was particularly pleased with the daily chocolate hour which was areal treat.

We arrived with heavy luggage. As there were steps up to reception we requested on the intercom that the disabled lift at the entrance be sent down for us. A staff member told us it was not working but there was no offer to assist us. We struggled up the steps with three heavy cases.

The hotel is near the palace, and few walking minutes from the city’s attractions. We rent bikes from the hotel and could easily get to the beach and delft. The room was bigger than expected, elegant and with good taste. Breakfast was very complete and mixed styles such as ; English/ French /Vegan / Italian with a mix of healthy and less healthy options 😉

Our view was an office building with green rooftops and a church tower bursting out into the sky… Nice but I had better views 🤷

Spacious room with pleasant decor. Very large bed. Nespresso machine as well as complimentary teas and chocolates. Full range of amenities provided. Central location - close to numerous shops, wonderful restaurants and cafes, but also quiet.

Was kept waiting and unattended for 5 minutes upon arrival. (other than this staff were very welcoming and helpful) Bad shower design: water on the floor in the toilet area after shower. 22.50 euros for breakfast: great ingredients but very few hot items and fruit salad was constantly run out.

One of the best rooms of our trip. It was spacious and bright during the day. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large.

As in more and more hotels, young people seem to design the rooms with high tech features, but forgetting the basic needs of hotel guests such as adequate lighting in bedroom and bathroom and adequate towel hangers in the bathroom. The large bathroom was too cold because it had no heating and the temp control in the bedroom had no temp setting but a knob that showed some number not related to temp???

Absolutely phenomenal hotel 🔥 We had a very clean, spacious corner room with 4 huge windows (#116). The design is totally awesome with a lot of thought to detail. You can regulate the mattress to make it softer or harder. The bedding is so soft that it feels like you are melting. Great sleep. I would stay here forever 😍 It's a very rare case when reality is better than the photos! Above expectations ✨️ Highly recommended
