Hotel Babylon Heerhugowaard - Alkmaar

The last day breakfast that was delivered to my room since I was leaving 5 o'clock, and the vegan meals I had in the evening were excellent- The room was spacy and I got new towels all the time. All staff were very nice, the hotel was closed to my work.

The window had to be opened in bathroom otherwise it would be to humid. The light in the bathroom did not turned off and there were two switches that did not go to anything in the room, there were no taxi deals between hotel and the taxi company, I had to order my own an the company refused to drive such a short distance, I Babylon had maybe agreement, they may to refuse maybe. More vegan options for the breakfast.

Hotel very clean. Bed super comfortable, room very spacious. Superb restaurant. Coffee machine in the room. It is a great hotel. The staff is super kind and well mannered, very attentive as well.

I was arriving at 1pm instead of 3pm and asked for early check in to be told that they charge 10€ for every extra hour, so in my case €20. Normally they tell you either no possible or it is possible, I have never found an hotel that charge extortionate prices for early check in. I can understand if it was in the early hours of the morning, but I was arriving in the afternoon. For the rest the hotel is great.

A great place to stay. It's a bit out of the way from Alkmaar or the local town, but that's what is nice about it. The hotel & restaurant are lovely. The menu is fantastic and the room was decorated nicely. I didn't catch the staff members name, but the chap who asked the kitchen to stay open for us, and ordered us a taxi in the morning was a gent, and all members of staff were polite and helpful.

There wasn't anything I disliked..

Bright and spacious bathroom, easy parking, great restaurant and bar with very friendly staff.

The hotelrooms open up to a hallway outside with seats, other hotelguests sit and smoke there. Perhaps create a smokers area away from the rooms.

The room was beautifully decorated, had coffee and tea making facilities plus biscuits/chocolates to surprise me. The bathroom was very well equipped. Also, an outdoor seating area. Absolute top!

I cannot think of anything negative. Maybe the only thing is that you cannot walk into the town as that is too far out.

First day good second day had already been cleared before breakfast was supposed to be finished. We were servec with a platter of food

You can’t ask for more! Everything high end, very good bed, comfortable desk and the breakfast is very good with a wonderful mixed fruits juice and plenty of choice. I totally recommend

Let’s say the automatic light in the bathroom is a pain in the middle of the night...

If you have a car, the hotel offers you free parking and the location is good. However, without a car, it might not be a good choice. The room is clean and has good facilities.

The beds are not comfortable since they move and shake easily even with small movements during your sleep.

Excellent room and bed, spacious bathroom very friendly personell and restaurant with great ambiance and delicious food. Staff has good knowledge. In the bar i ordered a gin tonic and was advised a gin from texel which is now my favorite gin
