Hotel Restaurant Grandcafé 't Voorhuys

The hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Emmeloord. We were greeted with a very friendly staff at check-in who also helped to book the bicycles (remember to book in advance, especially during the peak periods). The room was very spacious and superbly comfortable. Some rooms may be more exposed to noise from the street and restaurant/bar, but the room we stayed in was really fine and had no issues. We loved that the hotel is also very central in Emmeloord and within walking distances to shops and food, and within cycling distance to many of the beautiful tulip fields in the area.

It's hard for me to pick an issue, but if I had to make some points: The breakfast provided was really nice but I think some signs on the food and drinks would have been good. A bit more clarity on the charges for the bike rental rates would have also been good.

If you want to be in the middle of the town, this is the right place to stay. It was surprisingly quiet, although the very next night will be a carnival in front until 8 May. So glad we missed it by one day! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and adjoining restaurant were good. Also, the shower was hot with good pressure and the bed was comfortable.

The lighting in the room was very dim, especially in the bathroom, which made it not usable for anything. Also, the shower is an open space, like part of the main bedroom. No privacy at all. The decor was not my preference, but I'm sure some people like it.

After a long day on a boat in Gietheroon, we found this hotel. A spacious modern room, with a kettle and coffee machine. No refrigerator in the room, but it is possible to put food in the hotel's kitchen. Breakfast is quite good. 15 euro pp.There are some nice restaurants nearby. Free Parking.

The bathroom has no door. Twin beds. The hotel is near the town square and the bells are ringing every 15 minutes.

Our windows were facing the main square with the bar. Because of the microventilation in the windows (even though it was closed), we could here all the noise from music, shouting people, felt like the windows were open- so that meant sleepless night. Also the pillows were little to hard and uncomfortable( but thats just personal preference).

A great location in the centre of the town, free parking directly outside and extremely friendly staff, it was a great nights stay. As we arrived late, we didn’t eat at the restaurant/pub downstairs however it did look very nice and certainly was popular. we would definitely recommend a stay here if anyone is witching Emerloord or the regional area.

There was not anything that we did not like. it was a great stay for a very reasonable price.

Great central location on the square which had a nice atmosphere with lots of al fresco dining. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby, as well as a huge free car park. Nice hotel restaurant with very friendly staff.

Rooms are spacious and well laid out but not that luxury considering the price

I have stayed here previously and found that it was excellent so had no hesitation in booking here once again. I am very pleased to say that the hotel has maintained their high standards - clean and quiet rooms, very attentive and helpful staff and nice restaurant.

This is a fine hotel. The rooms are clean, large and modern. The facilities are as-expected and efficient. The level of service is good. There is plenty of parking and easy access to the hotel. In short: this is nothing special but a perfectly fine way to spend a night.

Restaurant with very friendly service and tasty food (it's a "brasserie"). The room was quite big, modern, and the shower was very good. There is a very big parking just in front of the hotel.

Emmeloord is not a town I would recommend to visit but the hotel is easy to find and certainly a good option if you just need a place to spend the night in order to discover the region. And the region has plenty of nice places and is also a good location if you want to visit the north (Friesland), as we did.

Everything was digital especially within this time. The staff was very professional and helpful. The location is perfect. I love that they placed a restaurant table and chairs in the room. That was thoughtful. The room service was very ful. They delivered our food that wasn't even purchased from there restaurant.

The beds were ah bit too soft, I experienced back pains after sleeping and the 2 single beds didn't work at all for a couple, they keep spliting. I called when I made my reservation and asked specifically for a double bed with a double sized duvet, I didn't get it so I had to suck it up but that didn't work at all. The lighting in the bathroom is poor. Could be ah bit brighter. They were ah bit cheap on coffees. 1 coffee per person. We did get more by asking at the reception. But its a 4 star hotel I won't imagine having to ask for more coffee after 1 cup with 1 sugar an 1 tea bag person!!
