Hotel Country Villa

The view was out of this world. Watched the sunrise from the Himalayas right from my bed. The staff are friendly and cooperative and the location is perfect for an unbroken view of the mountains and the valleys below. The meals were good, could be better. But the room was great! A little small but I didn't mind it, it was very cozy in the somewhat cool weather. The bathroom was perfect and the amenities provided were very good quality. The hotel is made in multiple steps at the edge of the hill, it's beautiful to look at, speacially with all the lights at nighttime.

I didn't like that my balcony was on top of the restaurant so there was little privacy.

I have No complaints at all to Country Villa. It was such a beautiful property perfectly embedded on the top of the hill. It has this calm, peaceful energy to it, and a lot of times, I almost forgot I was in a resort, it felt more like I was in a tranquil temple. Soooo peaceful and chill. The open large view is fantastic and u get to see sunrise and snow mountains on the balcony in your room and pretty much everywhere in the hotel. The decorations, setup, layouts, furnitures are just perfect. And it is Clean! Nice hot shower! I really have no any bad feelings at all there. Staff was super nice and really helpful to help me renew one more night, as they were full booked. But I was sooo glad, the staff managed to made two rooms available for me. I would definitely come back to this hotel and enjoy the nature and energy here!

no room service after 9:30PM. I believe, prices in your menu should always reflect including government taxes. I, as a final consumer(tourist) is concerned about the total price of a product rather than the tax amount. Service charge could be discretionary as it sets a tone for the customer to reward the staff as per service they have received.

Nice enough hotel with a view of the Himalayas. Good restaurant and breakfast

It is a huge hotel that attracts large groups of people and on our arrival there was a group of 200 making a lot of noise throught the ground although they left during the evening. The property has outside places with open firest which are great for small groups but in our case a group were there making a lot of noise and playing music until 2 a.m in the morning. The room was very basic with cheap fittings and one bedside table was missing.

Stuff were very friendly. The place was located at very good place. Not far from Kathmandu. View was magnificent. Spa and massage, I had them twice. It was good for the end of day relax .

View from room terrace was magnificent. But we had that view only one morning in our 4 days stay. We were lucky to see that. I know many other guests did not have that luck. Wish they had precise map of the trails around the hotel. Everybody was nice, but if the pretty girl on front desk had little bit more smile, the hotel stay would have more of good memory.

The hotel blows away. We searched through 300+ hotels in Nepal to select two hotels for our yoga retreat. Nagarkot Country Villa was one of the two we selected. All our rooms had amazing sunrise view. First day we woke up finding ourselves above the clouds! The restaurant serves tasty cuisine and we felt the hospitality of the staff for all our requests. Hotel has many terraces, and yoga practice places, including the indoor hall. Biken at the Front Desk has always been helpful, suggesting best hiking routes around the hotel. The style of the hotel is unique and we felt like being in Switzerland of Nepal. I would highly recommend to other travelers and would definitely return again

Fabulous location and service of the staff. good breakfast menu. Cleanliness was good. Magnificent view on a clear day else you might not see beyond 10 metres due to the fog ( in September on our visit)

Rooms are tiny. They charge corkage if you ask them for wine glasses for drinking your own wine in the room. Unheard of anywhere else. Kitchen shuts early in the evening. If you order room service for 2 people there is not enough place or furniture to sit in the room and eat and they don't have an extra table to offer so you can eat in the balcony. Quite ridiculous for a resort of their standards to tell us they don't have an extra table to keep the food. That was disappointing.

We loved the view, the comfort of the room and the incredible hospitality of the staff – they absolutely went out of their way to be helpful and seemed to always be in a good mood. It was very convenient that all rooms had excellent wifi considering the remote location. We mostly ate from the a la carte menu and the food tasted great. We also enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi and spa services.

There could be more plugs for charging next to the bed (we had to unplug the bedside lamps to charge our phones) and some of the bulbs had gone out in the room. The balcony door never locked. These were minor inconveniences though – so minor we didn't mention them to the property during our stay.

Stunning site, amazing facilities

Amazing stay, except one thing…: The reception tried to significantly overcharge us for a taxi. They asked for 2,500 rupees, we said no (fair price was around 1,000 rupees) and we eventually paid 1,500 rupees. We paid the driver in cash. At check out reception had added the taxi fee to the bill. We asked them to remove it and they wouldn’t until they had spoken to the driver, who wasn’t answering his phone. So we wasted a lot of time hanging around, despite saying we were heading to the airport so couldn’t waste much time.

Aboslutely stunning views from room and restaurant and all common areas. Lots of beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy the scenery. Food was very good at all meals, and service was great allover, from restaurant, to reception and spa. Very comfortable bed in spacious room with private balcony to enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas. Great value for money!

The aircondition in the room was somewhat difficult to manage, but it did keep the temperature at a comfy level through the night. I could hear some of the activity going on in the neighboring rooms and outdoor areas, but slept really well with airplugs in. The bathroom could have needed an upgrade; there were some damages probably caused by humidity, but these were small and in irrelevant places and did not bother me too much.
