Hotel Evropa

Friendly and attentive staff in the hotel and restaurant. Stayed here a year ago and decided to stay again as I liked it so much. Great location next to a post office and the railway and bus stations for onward travelling (we came from Belgrade and continued to Shkodër). Breakfast is good and the restaurant has a nice terrace covered by grape vines for an evening beer. Very good air conditioning and a spacious fridge in the room! The rooms are small and basic, but that's all I needed for a short stay.

My shower had some issues with the drain but it was fixed immediately when I told about it.

This is a convenient location just right outside of the train/bus station, also an easy walk to city downtown for restaurant if you like. Room is well arranged and clean which is the most important. The owner is friendly and the breakfast is basic but sufficient. Price is reasonable in my opinion.

The smoking smell is present in the room which is ok at the season I visited by opening the window for airflow but may be annoying if it's winter time.

We booked Hotel Evropa because (1) it's nearness to the Central Bus/Railway Stations, (2) because reception is open late. Our bus from Dubrovnik would not arrive until midnight, and many hotels had closed their reception by ten. Not only did Hotel Evropa welcome us at midnight, they served us drinks on the terrace until 2am when we chatted with a fellow traveller. In the morning they served us a large breakfast with many different things, and staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is full of character, and we had a large room with 3 chambers, so plenty of space. The bathroom worked well, the air condition was good as was the WiFi. WE spent a day exploring Podgorica, and going down to lake Skadar, and it was good that Hotel Evropa was so convenient for travel connections. The hotel staff arranged an airport taxi for us, and this was quick and was not expensive. We ENJOYED two nights in Hotel Evropa, because they looked after us so well.

Cannot fault the facilities, the comfort, or the service at all, and at this price we will be back!

The room is not big, but at this price I couldn't ask for more. It was small, but clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is located at less than 100 mts from the bus station - what was very convenient, as I arrived at night, and only had to do a one-minute walk, leaving from the front door to the right, following the street. And the hotel has a restaurant below.

Breakfast - that is understandbly not included in the price - was a bit of a weird experience, in the beginning, since the waiter kept staring at me, instead of bringing the menu, and seemed surprised that I was there, even if there was no breakfast included in my stay. He said something that I didn't understand about (I think) the need of payment - what I would SURE do, anyway - but, eventually, served the omelette and bread that I ordered, and was everything ok. Not the most polite at all, but acceptable - and just weird treatment, not offensive. And the food (like previous night's goulash) was really good.

I had the most wonderful stay here at Hotel Evropa. The staff were very warm and answered any questions you had. The hotel is literally opposite the main train station and bus station. Bedroom was comfortable and clean and had everything you could need for a short stay. Breakfast was a lovely surprise with lots on offer. Huge shout out to the breakfast staff, you made me smile each morning, thank you. PS: Guys, come on, this is Montenegro and they smoke pretty much everywhere. You can't escape it unless you're staying in a luxury resort 🚬

I can't think of anything I disliked about the hotel. Just be aware that the hotel is not right in the centre of Podgorica and the area can be a little dark at night time.

- STAFF: wonderful welcome, everyone smiled, also late in the night, kind and nice. Perfect English communication. - ROOM: small, but the bed was comfortable, wifi and a/c worked good. - LOCATION: excellent, 2/3 minutes walking from the station, 5/10 from Mall of Montenegro. Very quiet place. - Nice space outside, like a terrace. - Good value for the money

- I can not tell anything about the restaurant, nor the breakfast, as I had check out before 7.00 am.

Very helpful staff, I arrived late at night after a long day of travels with unexpected delays and I felt so welcome. The staff provided drinks and made the check-in a smooth experience. The bed was comfortable. Even if smoking is allowed indoors, which is out of the hotel’s control, the smell of smoke was not present in the room. The staff were always friendly when I met them. The food from the restaurant was good and reasonably priced.

The walls are thin and it was noisy sometimes.

The hotel was perfect for a one night layover in Podgorica. Excellent buffet breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Conveniently located next to the bus station for transfers to Budva and Kotor. Highly recommended for a convenient, comfortable stay in Podgorica.

Bedding was a bit uncomfortable and the fridge made lots of noise, but was easily fixed by switching it off.

Good location, close to bus and train station and walking distance to city centre. Very good breakfast and very friendly staff, especially the woman in the restaurant for breakfast.

The room had been smoked in and felt stuffy, with blueish ceiling light that made the room less cosy. There was some noise from barking dogs, trains and guests arriving late at night, so bring earplugs.

It was easy to find the place, very close to bus station. The room was clean, large and comfortable. Do not miss the breakfast, it is great. Good breakfast is offered with warm food (multiple style of fried and cooked eggs, sausage), salami, cheese, sweet cakes including pancake (YES, PENCAKE), delicious fruits. The breakfast made me very happy.
