This place ticked all my boxes: good location, pool, well kept and beautiful grounds, refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy the trees and birds, egg-crate martress on bed and good pillows. They even left a few complementary beers and waters. It also was very reasonably priced. Definitely worth the money to pay $2 extra for a pool view. Check out room #7 or #9, on the second floor overlooking the pool and trees. You feel like you are in a treehouse. Large, sliding glass doors with screens so you feel like you are outside even when you are sitting on your bed. They even have Netflix! We booked other, much more expensive places on our 3 week trip, but this one is the one that was the best.

We arrived late and were reminded to go to 575 A, not 575 B. We got to 575, then 575 B, so we went back to 575 and tried for a half hour to get in and contact the host. After banging on the door and waking up the neighborhood and just before we left to find another place to sleep, we noticed a third 575 with an A. They need to warn people that there are actually THREE 575s! Another thing I am adding to all my reviews is the need for places like this to have a way for guests to refill their water bottles so we don't have to keep buying more plastic ones!

Room was lovely and the hotel was exactly as per the photos - a little oasis. Leonardo was excellent and his welcoming whatsapp messages and follow ups to ensure we were having a good time in Merida were really appreciated! The WIFI gave a good strong signal in the lobby and while we didn't use the pool, it looked a great lounging out area,

As others have mentioned the location isn't the best and is a bit of an eclectic mix with a pool hall almost opposite, contrasting with an organic cafe just up the road! Never felt unsafe, but it wasn't anywhere that made you want to wander around at night and enjoy the ambience!

amazing staff! they got our room ready earlier, left us a minibar for free and Gustavo was super quick to respond to anything on WhatsApp. He helped us get a private driver - Tomas, who was a great person and tour guide. We toured 3 cenotes for a price much lower than renting a car and with a lot of Yucateco history stories in between. I definitely recommend to message Gustavo and get in touch with Tomas. As for the location - the hotelito is in the south side of the city so it’s much less touristy (albeit very safe) and you can get to the centre in 10 min walking. we did that every night and occasionally got a ride back for 40-50 MXN.

It’s quiet and peaceful in the patio and also during the night. The apartment was clean and nice designed. We like the pool as a possibility to cool down. I like the idea of little goodies like the chocolate etc. The communication via WhatsApp was very friendly and helpful

The price for the accommodation is quite high that’s why I mention things i probably wouldn’t if it would be cheaper: The patio and pool wasn’t clean on the first day (dead cockroaches, leaves, fruits, used towel laying around). On the second day the cleaning stuff cleaned the whole patio and it looked much better. Sun beds are in a bad conditions and should get repaired.

- seating in the room - lighting in bathroom: only one small light in the high ceiling gives barely enough light to see oneself in the mirror - water pressure: the idea I believe is to be eco-friendly, but the waste of water in order to get it on temperature made me shudder every time I took a shower

The room was really clean and spacious. The decor was very cool and there was thoughtful and practical furniture in the room which made it feel more homely. We appreciated the drinks and snacks provided in the room on arrival. The communication from the host was brilliant and they offered a list of recommendations for things to do and places to eat and drink. On that list is Patio Petanca which I would absolutely recommend! A really fun bar and restaurant where you can play pétanque. The hotel itself isn’t far from the centre and is definitely walkable. Mérida is pretty safe for walking around, even south of the centre. There aren’t many food and drinks places around so you’ll have to walk to the centre for that, though there is a billiards hall just over the road which is very inexpensive and a fun activity (though a word of warning, don’t use the toilets in there…) Another reviewer had mentioned the Organico cafe as one to add to the list of recommendations for local places to eat but I’d probably recommend the Kombucheria over that. We weren’t a fan of Organico sadly.

The only negative I can think of is that the shower head wasn’t great and made showering a slightly less pleasant experience than could have been. We didn’t use the pool as it didn’t look too appealing, but we were also out most of the time or making the most of the aircon in our room when around the hotel area!

Nice, spacious room in a self-service apartment block. The room was clean and tidy, there was a little kitchen area and fridge (hugely important in the heat). I booked a room with a pool view which I would highly recommend as it was great to have our own outdoor space. The garden was lovely, beautifully done and the pool was a welcome relief from the sun.

The location is fine but there isn’t too much nearby in terms of bars and restaurants. So it was a 20-30 min walk each evening to get to some of the recommended places.

My room had a view of the small pool and garden area and there were tables, chairs, sun loungers provided so you could just relax and have a sundowner in the evening. Not all the rooms have the same view but it was peaceful and quiet place when I was there. I did like the fact that water was in refillable bottles and the shower gel and hand soap came from large containers and not from the little, dinky ones, cutting down on plastic. There are adequate facilities to cook your own meals or blast something in a microwave. The water pressure in the shower was good and the hot water, like a lot of hotels in Mexico, did take a bit of time to get to the shower head. So all in all a good stay.

It is at least a 15 minute walk to Plaza Principal and 30 mins to the elegant Paseo Montejo and in the heat of Merida , that can be a bit of a drag for late night revelries. I did receive recommendations for restaurants, bars, and cafes but very late in the day. I could have done with that insider information on the first day I arrived. This is just nit picking.

What a hidden gem! This little place shone like an oasis inside a rustic neighbourhood. The property is lovely with big trees and their dropping fruit, all surrounding a refreshing plunge pool. Our room had a patio with nice chairs and small table overlooking the court yard and pool. The staff were competant and helpful, and there was excellent communication with the management. Nice comfortable rooms & beds, with a little fridge and portable stove top to make eggs for breakfast. The big screen TVs had Netflix and wifi was strong and reliable. I highly recommend this great little hotel, it will not disappoint!

The pool's filtration system was either broken or was not turned on during our 9 day stay, as the water was cloudy but clean. The staff manually removed leaves & debris daily and checked chlorine levels.

The Hotelito is a beautiful little Oasis just south of the center of Mérida. We stayed in three of the apartments which were all very clean, comfortable and well equipped (kitchen with utensils for two persons, bathrooms with showers, A/C). The outside area is very pretty with a lovely small pool if one wants to cool down and seating options in the shade of the trees. We particularly loved the Suites, as they each have either a balcony or small terrace to spend time on. All in all highly recommended - we actually extended out stay by two nights.
