Large, comfy bed with soft sheets and great pillows. Slept like a baby. Blackout curtains. Great water pressure in the shower and hotel-branded amenities were cute and smelt yummy! The towels were super soft and fluffy too. Nespresso machine and kettle in the room. Large, new flat screen Samsung tv which worked well. Netflix, Apple TV, and cable channels are included. Large room with separate sitting area with couch. Nice modern decor. Also, room service is available and there is a bar/restaurant on site. Generous 12pm checkout time. Love the style and grounds of the hotel, especially the Merida "you and me" chair in the garden and the murals in the reception.

No minibar or fridge in the room. One, small bottle of water and only coffeemate in the room which is no good if you like real milk with your coffee. WIFI was a bit patchy to start. The sitting area in the room is not really usable because of the heat (the air con unit is in the bedroom only). There is an outdoor patio in the room as well but it didn't look very appealing so we didn't use it. No sheer curtains for privacy. The pool is only knee-deep so you can't really swim in it, also no pool towels. The staff didn't tell us the closing time for the room service/restaurant at check-in so we missed it otherwise we would have ordered but they did lend us cutlery to use for the UberEats we ordered instead, which was appreciated.

The whole place is very beautiful (colors, material) & quiet. 15mn away from Merida city center, making it only a small walk away, while being far enough from the city fuzz & tourists shops. Our room was spacious & very confortable, especially the beds. Its decorated with taste, from furniture to bathroom (shower was great). The pool is really nice for a little break in a hot afternoon. Staff is very caring.

The « continental breakfast » included in the room price is very (too?) basic: Coffee or Juice, Fruits, Bred. We always added on top the DELICIOUS pancakes, waffles & granola. The pizzas are frozen.

location is good, the facilities are great (in concept) staff is very friendly and they try to make your stay welcoming. The hot breakfast was good, (eggs, fried beans, coffee, juice, bread from the bakery and fruit), totally worth it! we were able to start every day in a good way ;)

We got suit #15. I think (and hope) it’s the only one with several faults. The first 2 days we didn’t have hot water, so we had to report it and on the 3rd day it was fixed. And to get hot water we have to flush the toilet so the pressure went up and the shower could work. The ceiling fan only had “on with light” or “off without light” because the wall switch and the remote didn’t work, the solution, remove our remote control and turn the switch off so we didn’t had a fan during our whole stay. The shower was clogged and every shower we took we were afraid the bathroom was going to flood, and it took 2 days for them to unclog. So the room is fine, and just as the photos, but several things didn’t worked correctly.

we loved this hotel, loved the sustainable approach to water (glass refillable bottles) no disposable bottles of shampoo etc - generous supplies in large pump dispensers. the Nespresso machine was a VERY welcome item! Room service was great.

Their bank managed to mess up our payment and despite my giving all the evidence including a statement from my bank confirming the payment had happened, they made me leave an extra security payment. they were very nice throughout - but I felt that it was unnecessary of them to do this. I had a very nice apology though and great communication throughout.

A beautiful oasis around a central pool with a stocked bar and delicious restaurant on site. It was a comfortable home base for exploring the neighborhood. I loved having a desk and my own backyard. The shower gel and shampoo was very nice!

I would have really appreciated a small fridge to keep water cool. The internet was less stable than I would have liked since I was working remotely during my stay. Also, the pool could use a good chlorine shock.

We liked the design of the king suite, the staff was very friendly and cleaning was subtile and thorough.

The door to the room did not seal well, so mosquitoes and voices of passing guests could easily enter. In addition, the water pressure was very weak an the temperature varied a lot, making all showers somewhat stressful. Also, the restaurant had a cold atmosphere and basic design relativ to the rest of the hotel. The location of the hotel is not suitable to explore Merida by foot during hot and humid weather.

We travel to Merida often and like to experience new hotels each time we go. This is our second time at Hotel Unknown and it has definitely become a firm favourite. We love everything about it - the rooms and bathroom are a great size, the kids love the mini plunge pool, the beds are comfy and the towels fluffy. The staff are super friendly and the breakfast that is included in the price is also great. Good and safe location.

I can't really find anything wrong - the price to quality ratio is amazing. The only thing I could say is maybe have a sign by the pool so that people know it is extremely shallow.

This place was so nice, the staff was really friendly and welcoming. The whole place is so pretty and clean. The room was nice and big, it had a little seating area and then the bedroom and an outdoor patio with a small pool. Included in the price was breakfast which consisted of pastries and fruit and you could also different dishes from the menu at an extra cost. The hotel doesn’t have parking but there is plenty of parking on the streets, we left our rental car during our stay and it was safe. I highly recommend this place.

The only part I was not impressed with was the food, we ordered room service one night, and the food we ordered was just okay, but the breakfast items were good, so it might just depend on the dish!

Amazing place in Izamal style look. Nice pool. A short walk from central areas, quiet at night.

We had breakfast included but were requested to pay at check out for eggs we ordered. Seems the breakfast includes only fruit with a bit of yogurt and toasted bread with jam. We might have been told this but the receptionist at check in spoked only spanish so we didnt know that. At this price per night I dont feel a scrambeled eggs is too much to ask for while having an option with ‚breakfast included’. A bit english at check in would be appreciated.
