La Villa du Golf à Cancun Hotel Boutique

Breakfast was great, bread, selections of cheeses, hot cakes, quesadillas, and a few other options, with free repetitions! Got the smallest room and it was still quite large for us, great bathroom too. Staff was also great, helped a lot with directions, suggestions and timing of our check-out.

I think that, given the location, prices could be lower. If you are not willing to take a taxi, you need at least 20-30 min walk to everything - clubs, public entrances to the beaches, ferries. But it was a great stay.

We were looking for a hotel that was not full of tourists and away from the busy resorts. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is small, but lovely and private. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our housekeeper was especially helpful and sweet! The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The included breakfast was a continental-style breakfast of baguette bread, butter, jam, coffee, and juice. You can order other breakfast items for an additional charge. The food was good and price was reasonable. We did have to walk (about 10 min) to get to a bus stop. There are some restaurants about 10 min away also and there is a convenience store that is very close, just up the street. The only thing that would have been better would be if the entire house had air conditioning because it was so hot in July. We could not spend any time in the common areas. Our rooms stayed cool though.

We had a very good stay at the Villa du Golf. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the property itself is very pretty (the courtyard/pool area looked lovely, though we didn't use the pool). It's located at the end of a long street that ends in a cul-de-sac; the road is very quiet and isolated but felt safe. We were able to walk from the hotel into the heart of the Cancun party/hotel zone to get dinner and explore a bit (though we took a taxi back). The staff were welcoming and friendly and called us a taxi in the morning when we were leaving. Overall, a comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay!

If you are going to Cancun for partying, you may want to stay in one of the hotels that's a lot closer to the clubs so you don't have a long walk. We took a taxi back after a late dinner because the walk is 20+ minutes and passes through some dark/isolated areas. We only had one brief overnight in Cancun so this didn't matter for us but note that the hotel does not have beach access, if that's important to you during your visit!

The villa is absolutely amazing! It has a bit of a rustic style and also modern. The breakfast is made by two very nice ladies and it is delicious. The room is cleaned every day and the lady that cleans it left us in the last day a nice note and a mexican candy. Everything was perfect. The location is also close to Caracol Beach (15 min walking) and also to the bus station to go somewhere else ( 8 min walking). There are also at the main street very nice small and cheap restaurants with very good food that we tried, as well a 24h market and subway. I totally recommend it! 👌

Gorgeous and elegant, personal hotel.

The room itself was not the most beautiful one I have seen, but it was made up for by comfort (wonderful bed, AC)

We really liked the hotel, it used to be a villa and we could dream about owning a place like this. When there, pay attention to the details: brick ceiling, massive metallic chandelier, antique cabinet, etc. It's away from noisy artificial fun of the hotel area, but close enough to get to the beaches or restaurants by walk. The closest beach is walking distance, a good restaurant is on the same street, a bus stop, currency exchange, 24h store are in 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is delicious and fulfilling, you can have it indoors our outdoor by the pool like we did. Staff is very friendly and professional, they helped us with every our request (special thanks to Daysi). We can definitely recommend La Villa du Golf for a quiet romantic stay and if you like to explore things by yourself.

The service was great! All the staff were very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was also really delicious. The decorations were nice, the common area was very cozy and our room was clean.

The room that I had stayed in had a bathroom that was right next to a staff room, and there was a window for ventilation in between the two rooms so I could hear everything coming from the staff room and the kitchen. This also meant that all our conversation could be heard from the bathroom. I didn't really feel comfortable because there wasn't a lot of privacy. Our room was also not very spacious.

Goodness I loved everything about this place. First of all when I walked in, they immediately greeted me with a warm smile and had someone come to help me with my suitcase. It almost seems surreal staying in this quiet area because it's right next to the big resorts and tourist restaurants which is something I did not want. Anything I needed they would help with and breakfast I still am reeling over because it was magnificent and better than any other place I had eaten at in Mexico. The view of the pool in front of the golf course was beautiful and to have breakfast right in front I felt like I was in a different place. There was a wonderful spread of fruit, cheese and coffee and then the actual dishes blew me away. I had the Omelette and Crepe and it was so delicious. I'd highly recommend this place and can't get over how wonderful it was.

Daisy, her husband and her team was very friendly and helped in each situation to make the stay much comfortable! Big thanks to Yvonne for the service (hope it’s correct), who made the start in the day fantastic. Muy amable :) The continental breakfast is quiet good! The next beach is about 20 minutes by foot. But no problem for us, otherwise the red buses leave minutely to get you to your destination.

Quiet location away from the busy dual carriageway road that runs through the beach area of Cancun. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, with fruit cheese and well made omelettes. Nice area around small pool.

Sheets were very slippery and would have preferred conventional cotton. The hotel is the wrong side of the road for beaches. There are no under or overpasses, with only poorly marked crossing. The traffic does not stop and you have to wait for gaps in busy traffic. You have to go through reception of a nearby hotel to get to the nearest beach, Many beaches in Cancun have effectively been privatised by hotel building even through all beaches are meant to be public. Nearby restaurants were not good. Fine as a place to stay for tours or if you use taxis.
