Hotel La Mansion del Sol

A peaceful, relaxing place! Our King room was large and nicely furnished with real furniture - not the kind of cheap Ikea-ish stuff you see in a lot of hotels these days. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and we never lacked hot water. Our room was over a garden and we awoke each day to the sound of birds chattering in the trees. We took our breakfast each morning outside on a garden patio and enjoyed the peaceful sound of a fountain and more birds as we lingered over the complimentary breakfast. We stayed 5 nights and I really can't think of anything negative to say. The staff were friendly and tried to fulfill our requests. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Zapopan!

The TV remote was difficult to figure out (especially in the dark)

I loved this place so much I'm writing a blog about it. It was amazing. These are hoteliers of the past, when they didn't leave one person at the front desk to manage a whole hotel at night. My room was huge and well appointed with REAL furniture, REAL ceramic lamps and a REAL bathtub - a bathtub had armrests! (I hadn't taken a bath in years. I swooned). I met friends in the "salon" until it got a little warm and the staff person suggested helpfully that we go to the garden, which was lovely. The breakfast was equally lovely, and I heard the table next to me talking about what a nice experience they were having there. I told my friends in Guadalajara that whenever I came to visit them, THIS is where they'd find me.

staff is fantastic and very patient with non Spanish speaking guests from Texas. we got assistance ordering a pizza for enjoying on the patio while the staff brought us drinks as we ate. they also kept track of a lost laptop charger for me for 10 days until we were able to return on our way back. they helped us park our vehicle in a secure spot for both stays and referred us to a great nearby restaurant with outside seating for dog to go with us. pet friendly and just great people. rooms are comfortable and WiFi works fine.

The rooms are so clean and comfortable. It's like you're in an Hacienda.

It's noisy if there are noisy people in the hotel. One night I've got a family with kids running and you could hear that in all the hotel because it is so small. I would suggest no kids because you can hear everything. But besides that night, the rest was as if there was nobody around.

I liked everything about the hotel. Beautifully designed and well-kept, with many interesting decorative elements, it has somewhat nostalgic vibes of the mid 20th century that I was looking for and loved so much. The room is spacious, comfortable, neat, and tastefully furnished. The bathroom is decorated with beautiful tiles and is also spacious and clean. With its flowers, fountains, and benches under the trees, the garden creates a beautiful and quiet space.

Nothing. I liked everything about the hotel.

The price was right, the low key atmosphere was perfect, I liked the fact that it seemed that a lot of locals stay here. Well maintained property in a safe area of town (near the shopping district). But was far from the city center (I knew this before hand) so expensive to get to places. Bed was a little uncomfortable, and the chairs were elegant to look at but not practical to relax in.

Comfort of the furnishings - food at the hotel was just so-so.

Everything was good. I have stayed their many times. It is always clean the staff is always freindly. And the breakfasts are good. I like having a meeting room to use too.

I miss that they no longer serve lunch or dinner

Sleeping is awesome in this hotel. No noises, great bed. The mattress as I love.

Lately checking out is not the best. This is the only hotel where they do not want to print a receipt. Need to ask more than twice for a state of account. I have been reserving accommodations through booking.com for 6 years now, and this is the only hotel trying not to print a receipt/invoice.

The hotel was exceptional and the price was very affordable. The staff was incredible. They served a beautiful breakfast every morning and sometimes tasty treats in the evening. The hotel is immaculate and is very safe. I just loved it.

Location and ambience was great Very well appointed and large rooms . Tranquil garden in the midst of a busy area. Good breakfast was included.

Excessive fee for my dog. Wish we had the previous room we stayed in last October.
