The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

Overall it is a good hotel. Stuff was very friendly and tried to accommodate our requests. There are several pools with great view and atmosphere. Very nice long beach. Even though it is full of shells and not really pleasant for playing for kids but it is nice for a walk.

Unfortunately there was only one restaurant in the hotel. Quality of dishes were below average (it is not what you expect from a restaurant) and prices were way too high for such quality. At the far end of the hotel (next to spa area) sewage were dumped into the sea. Smell was horrible! And that was on a daily bases.

The unmatched and beautiful views! The AC and fan worked very well and some of the staff were very friendly!

The rooms are badly in need of a renovation, we stayed in the standard rooms that we had booked for the first night and then paid to upgrade into a two bedroom suite. The standard rooms were NOT 5 star standards, with the toilette seat not screwed on properly, the wall pain chipped and the doors broken. the bathroom door would also not close properly and we had to slam it for some privacy. The second room we stayed in was much much nicer but also in need of some upgrades. We had a bad check in experience where they told us our rooms were not ready when we tried to check in at 3 and when we tried to check in at 5 the rooms were also still not ready. The front lady was a bit rude informing us of that but they soon fixed the issue and we could finally go to our rooms after our flight.

This hotel is in a beautiful location with an amazing view of the sea and islands beyond, great pool area and facilities. the spa was really nice and so was the morning breakfast restaurant. we had a twin room which had a great bathroom and two large double beds which is always an added bonus. staff were nice.

Athough the property is 5 star, compared to other 5 star hotels it doesn’t match up in all aspects. The room was slightly in need of some tlc and an overhaul and a lick of paint, there were some leftover marks on the table which the cleaner had missed, and the staff could’ve been a bit more welcoming and attentive.

Beautiful view from the sea view rooms and large infinity pool with a fantastic view. Large breakfast buffet and a tour desk that can help organize trips. Nice and helpful staff.

Rooms are a bit old and could need some painting and freshing up.

It is an amazing and relaxing place to stay,It has all the facilities,staff is amazing,breakfast and food at all the restaurants is delicious. Night live entertainment is cherry on the top.

I have nothing to complain about.

Impressive quick service, they respond to requests within minutes. I stayed with my family at a one bed room villa that has an amazing private pool + access to beach , food is amazing also all outside & beach activities are great! Surprisingly they have a free lounge in the waiting area in Langkawi Airport which was a huge plus after the wonderful vacation

Rooms are very old, they need remodeling and renovations/new furniture. There was an ant problem in the villa which was a little annoying.

Limited veg options and very expensive

1. I had requested for inter-connected rooms which was not guaranteed during my booking, and hence I made a special request through email for confirmation. Though this was not confirmed by email, inter-connected rooms were provided during check-in which was very much appreciated by me and my family who wanted to stay in inter-connected adjacent rooms. 2. The service at the Bar Restaurant was excellent, especially by the Bar Tender Max who attended to us few times. His gestures and service was excellent which need to be recognized 3. Enjoyed the special New Year Celebrations arranged for Hotel guests only to welcome 2023! This was the most memorable event of our stay at the Westin 4. The private beach was clean and well maintained

The price was little higher than we expected

The staff was extremely friendly and the location was really nice. The private beach and pools are very pleasant. The room was very large with a private terrace and the bathroom was equipped with a bath.

It is clear that the hotel is old, I don't think it is still 5 stars, but more like 4. I would say there is a lot of maintenance to be done, for example, the bedroom doors to our terrace had a lot of water damage and also the public areas show the need for maintenance. The sheets had serval stains on them, when I asked the cleaning staff to change them they changed only some sheets and not all. The room was also very noisy and we heard a lot of noise from the hallway when people were checking out early in the morning (every morning).
