Gayana Marine Resort

Snorkelling, paddle boarding, and kayaking around the resort was incredible. At first, we were mildly disappointed (with humanity, not the resort) because most corals seemed unfortunately dead, but the more we explored, especially during high tide, the more stuff we saw - clownfish (Nemo), Dory fish (Dory), parrot fish, giant parrot fish, giant clams, squids, stingrays, urchins, damsel fish, catfish, and many more we cannot name. We were also very fortunate to see monitor lizards, lots of hornbills, and macaques. The resort has the Marine Ecology Center within it that is trying to boost the growth of corals as well as the local giant clam population, which is fantastic to see. Kayaking in the mangroves during high tide was also excellent. A lot of the food was delicious. And we barely used the infinity pool because we spent most of our time in the sea, but that was nice too. The staff are all very kind!

Nothing against the resort, but the corals are unfortunately mostly dead because of climate change :(. It was still fantastic to see all the incredible marine life we did, and kudos to the resort for hosting the Marine Ecology Research Center there.

Everything was incredible from start to end. The staff meet you at the ferry port, private ferry to the resort, manager and staff met us with welcome drinks and and information about the resort. rooms were perfect. food was delicious and every single member of staff was friendly, personable and helpful. it was the highlight of my holiday for so many reasons! I cannot fault it at all.

They helped to conserve the coral reefs which is very good. The place was very clean. The staffs were amazing and polite, properly trained. The room were spacious and beautiful. Provided kayaking and snorkeling. very peaceful to stay in there.

Everything is expensive in there, be prepared to pay US price for food and beverages.

the view and location of the villa, as you can access to the sea from your villa… they have recreational centre which you can do unlimited snorkelling and water activities until evening… the staffs all are friendly

no Wi-Fi connection in room, only at restaurant & lobby… foods are lil bit pricey, the bathroom tiles maybe can improve a-bit on the cleaning & tiles portion

.The location was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, the food was very good and worth it. The view from the chalets were breath taking..

The beach was small and unfortunately, due to the inconsiderate attitude of nearby villagers and city folks, it was were littered with rubbish. The resort does their best in cleaning it, but the rubbish keeps coming, sadly.

the room and balcony is only worth if you are check in into seaview property, jungle view is a big let down the seaview was so expensive for local not much of beautiful corals nearby

I was relocated to Bunya Raya Resort. it’s really a nice place for get away from City. relax and quite. 3 days 2 nights stay is a must so that you can enjoy the facilities and environment. all staff are very friendly. food also okay. will go again

The bed was comfortable, room iwas cozy, the villa is built above seawater so unlimited snorkeling and kayaking. Breakfast was excellent. The manager Karl was very helpful with good hospitality.

Not much. Dinner was a bit expensive but not over the top.

Service was beyond my expectation. I felt at home with exceptional service staff. The view blew my mind.as I love the sea view..

The Monkeys were entertaining yet intimidating but most of all we were not harmed or disturbed.

Friendly staff, food is amazing, cleanliness superb, except for the monkey 🐒🐒🐒😜 but no worries theres enough staff to help get rid of the macaque
