C'haya Hotel

Great location. Close to night market and beach and lots of restaurants. Nice rooftop pool.

Booked it thinking there was breakfast in the morning and a rooftop bar by the pool but both were closed and never open, price should definitely be lower as these were not actually included when they said they are! Also birds nesting in the air conditioning vent so very noisy when they were chirping in there and makes me wonder if it is good to be breathing in this air but it’s too hot without it on.

Open hours of the swimming pool. 9am open. Already hot. It's hot until evening. Should be open early 7am and closed 10pm like neighbours aru suites.

Clean, comfortable, spacious enough for two, 5 minutes from the airport. Bed very comfortable, ac works well (almost too well).

Only complaint is the wifi system is weird. Each person gets an individual login and code on a piece of receipt paper, that can only be used on one device at a time, and you have to re log-in every time you return to the hotel. They really should just have on log in and one code to make it simpler. We were rifling through the receipt paper trying to find our old log in codes every time it kicked us out Also, while it’s close to the airport, there’s nothing else nearby, so you’ll need to get a 10 minute grab to town for any food or entertainment

i like the pools view from the top and enjoying swimming with my family and should have provide breakfast next time

the toilet flooring is abit dangerous especially after shower and it wet need to put some thing on the floor to avoid from injury & slippery . it all about safety

rooms were great. very spacious, comfortable n homey feeling without too much decor. love the window nook. can sunbathe without going outdoors. love the bath tub also. bigger than other hotels i've been to. staff very good, polite n accommodative. responsive almost immediately.

more towels in rooms please. were given only 1 per person. maybe different towels provided near pool for pool usage. the electric stove provided was not working. complained to reception. unfortunately we were out when they tried to fix it but miscommunication, they heard wrong room number. by the time we got back, maintenance crew were off for the day already. more rubber floor from pool to lifts to prevent slipping on the stairs especially. sunset view was blocked by new hotel next door. oh well.

i like theres parking lot provided but limited parking space. I like the receptionist during my stay, really helpful and answer all my question properly. Theres vending machine at the lobby so its easy to buy some snacks when needed. The location is near tanjung aru beach, can find lots of food there.

During the evening, the road going to the hotel always jam because its near with tanjung aru beach. Limited parking lot. Less soundproofing. My room aircon not teally working well(my fault for not telling them regarding this).

Stayed in the King suite. Booked last minute and expected a simple room for the price paid. Was surprised at the size of the room and the amenities provided, including the extra large bed, a seating area and a bathtub which our toddler loved. The pool was small but was hardly ever crowded and had one of the best views ever. Value for money!

The TV channel selection was generally poor as is usually in most of 3-star hotels. The sofa and window-side seating was nice and comfortable but a little bit dusty- I had to use antihistamines to prevent escalation of my allergies.

Very spacious and comfortable. Had a good time with the kid at the pool.

The breakfast option was quite disappointing. When we asked the receptionist whether breakfast was available (for the next day) and how much per pax, he just simply said “it’s ala carte”. So we assumed that the hotel provided breakfast. But when we went down the next morning, the cafe was closed. Asked the morning receptionist, she said breakfast was not available at the moment. So yeah~ hopefully next time no misinformations as such.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean upon arrival. There is a very nice sofa-window corner, which is set for sitting/resting, which is very nice. We leave the window open at night to avoid having to sleep under AC, which is always uncomfortable. The bed is comfortable, as are the pillows. The bathroom has basic toiletries and the shower does not leak out of the cabin - a frequent problem at many locations in Malaysia we encountered. Cleaning is regular, but we did not request it. There are two big wardrobes in the room (need more hangers!) with light and safe. There is also a fridge. All very nice. Pool has a very nice cool-ish temperature, which helps in this heat. The water is clean. There is a Middle Eastern restaurant next door with good food, which helps, because otherwise not much is near the hotel.

It seems that the hotel suffered a lot during covid, the restaurant is not yet open, and the rooftop pool bar neither. Maintenance is required at some specific points but around the rooftop pool most of all: pool walls leak at several points into the excess canal around it, so this requires urgent attention, I would say. The excess canal is full of water and algae on the bottom and around pipes, it does not drain anywhere. Carpets in the doorways are very old and do not seem to be regularly vacuumed. Our bathroom wall tiles are beginning to separate at corners. The bathroom is very nice but needs attention, too.

Room was quite clean, but needs maintenance, location was excellent. Aircond was cold enough.

Some of the staff were not helpful, and not friendly, I told a female staff that we were stuck in the lift, and she replied "there is no problem". Some of the amenities were not complete in the room, so you need to request additionally,but they will send it to you. Other male staff were friendly and helpful.
