Gabija hotel & SPA

SPA acces in the morning is just a swimming pool and cold jacuzzi, there are 2 saunas and none of them are working in the morning, this should have been mentioned.

Right next to the Palanga Botanical Garden, this hotel is not what one would call "central", but it's in a quieter corner of Palanga for those who don't like suffering from noises after midnight. The hotel is a bit older, but it's what makes it special. The bed and the bedding were amazing, we slept like babies. The spa area is quite small, so it might get full/busy really quickly. The gym is on the smaller size as well, but we were the only ones using it, so it was fine. The restaurant is great if you want to have lunch / dinner there. Fries fried in duck fat are a must.

Breakfast was just okay, nothing exeptional. Selection is great, but I expected a better quality of food. Coffee is mediocre at best.

The apartment was spacious and nicely furnished. If there was a proper kitchen, one could live there. Although the SPA is very small, it covers all the basics (if there are not a lot of people). The restaurant in the hotel is actually pretty good. The breakfast was okay, the most basic foods were there for everyone to eat. It was light on sweet foods and a bit cramped. It is in nice location, both the beach and Basanavičius gatve are in walking distance and it is quiet in the hotel.

I've had problem with parking, somehow one digit was lost from my phone number and I couldn't open the barrier by calling, it was sorted out only after 2nd time of asking. There was no small light above the bed, so if you wanted a bit of light before going to sleep you had to illuminate the whole room. The worst thing is a shower without a door or any cover. I don't know why hotels think it would work for them, but it almost never does. The water is all over, there is some barrier made on the floor to catch some water, but then the water is stuck between cabin and this barrier. Please, just use doors, it's an amazing invention. SPA is closed during the day. The hotel and regular rooms seem a bit tired, I would recommend booking the apartment here, it seems to be much more fresh.

Location, spatious room and good breakfast are definite advantages.

Palanga tradition to sqeeze profit not taking much care about customers. 1. Small Mineral water bottles in he room 2.5 euro each (just returned from Hilton in other country - water is gratis in hotels of such standards). 2. Safe box not working but not allowing to open the shelf door. 3. Telephone in bathroom with torn-out wire. 4. Absence of small amenities in barhroom. 5. Pool: entrance ladder is just dangerous! Slippery, shaking and uncomfortable. 6. Towels (both bathhroom and pool) too small.

Love the building,Spa smell so good, and clean,view amazing trees everything relaxing the best calm sleep, recepciotinst friendly.Delicious breakfast.

breakfast time is till -11:30, that’s GOOD ,but… We came 10:55 they starting in a hurry packing everything😃 I ask salad no salad,milk no milk,no cups😂 I ask stuff young not really friendly girl olive oil she was taken to the kitchen yet,she was like ok.. No goodmorning, no goodbye😃 Room was clean. Will come back just check breakfast stuff workers. goodmorning,enjoy,have a nice day,smile more,goodbye.. 🤦🏻‍♀️😁

First of all, thanks that you're dog friendly) though the fee for a dog staying was not so friendly. The staff is very helpful and kind! A tasty breakfast + spa was a good start in the morning. In the season I guess the spa is too small but we've been in March so it's ok. One thing I would suggest is to make spa time a bit later as it starts at 8, the same as breakfast and you have to choose sometimes. Everything was perfect in the room except the noise... through the air conditioning pipes, we could hear our neighbors very well like they were talking in our bathroom! And it seemed strange as the hole is just upon your bed. So you can't sleep if there is someone even talking late at night. We managed to get rid of this noise only after putting the towel inside the hole. Anyway, we liked our small vacation here. The location is perfect, just a few steps from a huge green park and the seashore.

Nice room with balcony, views of pine trees, high food quality steaks restaurant, excellent breakfast with romantic French songs, good location, friendly reception staff, and even the electric car charger with reasonable pricing was right near the hotel entrance

Ventilation was a bit noisy, but perhaps it was a good thing that it was working, the air in the room was fresh. I paid extra to reserve the parking but when trying to enter late in the evening there was no free space in paid parking area - I was in luck to find a place right in front of hotel

Perfect location- in front of Palanga Park gate! 10 min to the seaside! I liked design of hotel- calm earthly colors, comfort and coziness.Beautiful! We had a large balcony/ terrace in our room.Breakfast was nice, good choice of cooked meals and snacks. We booked sessions of massage, and masseuse Diana was a perfection- really enjoyed!!!

Shower was draining slowly. At Spa center- very very strong smell of chlorine.I understand, it has to be disinfected, but we only manage to use pool/ swirl bath once.. Also area, where we had massage, was a bit drafty, cold..

The view from the balcony was gorgeous, it was a pleasure to sit there every morning and bask in the sun. It was pleasing that fresh towels were provided upon entering the spa complex, as we forgot ours in the room. The room was cleaned well upon request.

We expected the spa and sauna complex to be at least a bit larger for such a big hotel. The included breakfast was okay, however the coffee wasn’t good at all, therefore we had to go to the nearest coffee shop instead. The parking wasn’t properly explained, only the reservation (paid) option was provided, and it still remains a mystery whether free parking is available.
