Daiwa Roynet Hotel Toyama-Ekimae

Hotel is a short 3 to 5 mins walk to Toyama train station, new, clean and modern. Reception staff are courteous, helpful and we are very grateful for their help to get our luggage transferred to the next hotel. The twin beds and pillows are firm and comfortable. Air con can be controlled and there are many USB points. The enclosed shower/ bath area is functional and the shower water pressure is amazing, best in all the hotels we ever stayed in. Breakfast room is big and has a wide and varied spread of local delicacies and vege/salads. Delicious food worth paying for. Used the efficient washing machine dryer (detergent included) and the 500 yen option is great for a normal load (clothes washed and dried). Liked the convenience and ability to monitor the wash status on the tv from the room. All in all a good hotel for a short stay.

As the twin room has not much walking space maybe do away with the non functional seating couch and side table near the window as it is difficult to access and use them. Do not like the kettle provided as it does not have a separate start stop knob and the wire clumsily hangs from the retractable table area. Feels unsafe combined with the cramped sitting area.

We only stayed for 24 hours, but the location made this hotel perfect for that timeframe. Being right next to the train station meant that we could catch a direct bus from the airport to the station and be less than 5 minutes away from the hotel. Then we were able to use Toyama's light rail system to get anywhere else in the city, and the shinkansen was directly accessible when it was time to leave. It made such a short stay far more enjoyable. Oh, and they have a coin operated laundry that was perfect for washing small loads of clothes before we moved on.

The room was *tiny*. Given as we were there for 24 hours it wasn't a real concern, but just be aware if you plan on staying longer than that. Also the breakfast at the attached restaurant downstairs was a bit lackluster if you want something warm - the eggs and sausage were cold, unfortunately, but the Japanese items (fish, pickles, and rice) were great.

The hotel is a fairly new hotel, has a king-size bed, and has a big shower area with a bathtub. Location is a plus point, very near to train station, a 7-11 shop downstairs and a nice sushi restaurant that is 2 mins walk, but would need to queue as is popular with the local.

Due to the spacious bathroom, the walk space between the bed is less than 1 feet...... how I wish that there is an option to choose the bathroom without the bathtub.

I was a bit eager to test this hotel since it's been recently built in 2020. It's wide and has nice street/city view from the lobby and rooms halls. In the room the desk chair and the bed were roundly comfortable, the TV screen very wide but I haven't used it. Special mention to the bathroom design, it's spacious for a Japanese hotel, the bathtub is large and deep, perfect for relaxation. I'll stay here at least one night when I come to Toyama from now on.

There's 3 elevators yet they are a bit long to reach and buzy around check-out time especially.

Very good location, 3 minutes walk from the bus station. clean big room Near the restaurant, near the supermarket, the room is wider than other hotels. Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are available. lovely attentive staff Our group had sent our luggage in advance before we checked in. The staff are very helpful.

Excellent location, short walking distance to Toyama Station and Dentetsu Toyama Station (for Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route). What's lacking in room size, they make it up in details - pants presser, laundromat, vending machines, ice dispenser, microwave oven and even kids' amenities.

Room size - can barely walk after opening luggage. Bed mattress was not comfortable too.

it’s our second time staying in Daiwa hotel, and it’s as good as the last time. the room is small but not surprising in Japan, but the toilet and bathroom area is very spacious. it is great to have a good shower after a long day. also the location is great. just a few minutes walk from Toyama station

nothing. it’s a shame that our chance of visiting Toyama again is slim, otherwise we would definitely stay here again

Location was ideal as it is across the Toyama Station. Friendly and helpful Staffs. Room that I stayed is reasonably priced. There are many eateries near the hotel. Like other Daiwa Roynet Chain hotels I have stayed there’s a 7 Eleven convenient store just below this Hotel too. A good hotel to stay 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The location is excellent. The style of the room is superior to any other business hotel I have stayed in. The bathroom was very spacious.

Although my room was on the top floor, the view wasn't great. Although there was a TV/screen in the room, you could only watch local TV or use on-demand video.

The location is great, right next to Toyama station, there is even a 24/7 shop right under the hotel, very convenient. The room was great, big bed, a desk to sit on, and a small couch near the bed. The bathroom was really amazing, I enjoyed my bath time with some bath salts we got in the reception.
